I love all this positive thinking! To think it's coming up so soon!!! But what are we going to do next season, when they are together?

There is sooooo much they can do with them together. Becoming a couple is just a beginning, not an ending. There's the whole working together/dating awkwardness. It's limitless.

Also, speaking of fanvids, do you ever watch the UK clips just because Tim and Dawn bring you hope?

OMG you read my mind. Yes I do watch the British episodes, because Tim and Dawn make me happy!!!! I watch the ending. her crying in the car, opening his present, going back, kissing him, they walk off...soooo great.

I actually just posted this exact thing on the other thread (the person who says they like the american version better)

Exactly! I've always hated when people say the show will be boring if they got Jim and Pam together. Not true! There's so much left for them to experience, and I would be disappointed if the writers didn't let us see any of the joys and trials of dating. If it's been this hard for them to get together, we just know that these two would have plenty of adorable misadventures as they got used to dating and (finally) being open about their feelings.

It's official, I've gone off the deep end. I just watched this fanvid like three times. It is the juicy JAM scenes from the end of Casino Night and the beginning of Gay Witch Hunt linked together. It's a must see!

Okay Beeswax, I know I'm a few days late, but I finally did my homework. I woke up early this morning, popped in my DVDs and got on the treadmill. I watched Office Olympics, The Fire and The Client. (I've already watched Safety Training a bunch of times and obviously don't have it on DVD yet!) Amazing how a whole hour went by and I didn't even realize I was exercising! I had a smile on my face the whole time and laughed out loud a lot. I forgot how much I loved Office Olympics. That is now one of my favorite episodes of all time!

One thing I'll say though, Safety Training is bittersweet compared to the first three b/c of JAM's current status. It was so nice before all the ugliness. You could really see how in love they were (are) in S2. *SIGH* I hope we can bring back that lovin' feelin' soon!

P.S., Glad you had fun at the John Mayer concert. Also, I could watch your signature and mine all day! OMG wub.gif (Just had to throw one of those emoticons in.)

Well, I'll just reply to everyone in here and that will make my JAMmy kissing sig repeat over and over and over wub.gif

Those 4 eps are a fun-filled romp! I try not to think of the ickyness that has gone on between Jim and Pam. Yes, I know it happened and it will make them getting together all the sweeter, but it is now in the past. I shun it.

Oh, and I am now on a JAM and John Mayer high. Double whammy!

WoW.. Beeswax.... Watching your little vid, I never saw the HUGE amount of hottness in the scene. it gets better every time I see it agian wub.gif

Jim gives me butterflies!!! Just looking at that shows why they are ment to be together! Karen, he does not look at you like that.. he does not caress your back like that.. he does not draw you into him like you are air and he needs you. He does not try to keep kissing you because he can't stop. He does not put his whole body into the kiss, and he does not bear hug you as if never letting you go. wub.gif

He even showed Pam more affection in The merger than he shows you.

Sorry Karen, Pam is just better wink.gif

Just one more wub.gif for that scene....I just wub.gif

Here, here! I LOVE your statement of "he does not draw you into him like you are air and he needs you" *swoon* I would change my sig statement to that, but it would probably be too long.

Sorry Karen...the clock is ticking and you are running out of time.

Yes! I do think we need to look to Slough Office as inspiration. Tim and Dawn did make it (oh, and I just LOVE that whole scene, especially the look on Tim's face and Dawn taking his hand...brilliant).

Anyone who has not watched the UK Office should really make it a homework project for the long Officeless weeks this summer. It's not better or worse than Scranton Office, it's just another piece of the amazing Office puzzle.
queenofengland
Do you read minds Beeswax? That's exactly what I'm doing this summer! I keep praying against a JAM cliffhanger, but I have a feeling that's what's headed our way (still spoiler free, so that's just a gut-feeling). Anyways, watching the British version is how I'm planning on making it through the summer and remaining in a positive JAM-frame of mind. I just need to see one couple make it.

There was a spec (not a spoiler) going around that inter-office dating would become forbidden at DM, or maybe just a rule against dating your superiors (Jim is #2 after all). This would most likley be due to problems caused by the Jan/Michael relationship. I think this would be great bc then we have Jim and Pam at the office pretending not to be a couple but secretly running into the stairwell to make out on their lunch break (maybe running into dwangela there). I find that scenario a lot more interesting then keeping them apart for another season. Its not just us hardcore Jammers that are getting fed up with it all. I have a lot of friends that are just casual viewers (even one who likes Jaren (yeah I know)), and they are all in the "come on already" boat. If Casino night never happened the wtowt stuff could have gone on forever, but it happened and the sh** hit the fan. This season the crush stopped being cute... this was a consious choice made by the writers. If they didn't want to get Jam together they wouldent have writen CN and they wouldent follow it up with a season like this one.

I am a little worried though about how much of the Jam relationship we the viewers are going to get to see. The camera crew only captures the DM employees at the office or at office related stuff (or at events where a large chunk of co-workers are all together IE: cocktails and PW). Because of this I dont think we are going to see first dates or cuddling on Jim's couch or romatic weekend getaways. If you think about it, we never see what goes on with the other DM couples outside of work. It gives me a little hope that they are bending the rules on this a little this season (ie the coffee shop scenes in The Return and The Negotiation/ Pam's date in The Convention/). What do you guys think? How much Jam are we actualy going to be able to see and how much will be left to the imagination?

Ok, this is why I think Jim and Pam would work as a couple on the show. When (yes, when) they get together, they are not going to be making out at reception. It will probably be like S2 where we get to see little love moments, except those longing looks would be for realsies.

There are so many funny and perfect Office-like situations that Jim and Pam could encounter (dating situations, lover's tiffs). Not to mention the build up to a marriage proposal and Beesly-Halpert wedding. You think Michael marked his territory on Phyllis' Wedding? Think of what he would do at Jim and Pam's wedding. Yikes.

Getting Jim and Pam together would be real and funny and perfect all rolled in one.

Well, I guess I'm preaching to the choir here.

There will probably be a lot of suggestive TH. "Pam and I were in a fight, but we went home and talked about it for a really long time" *smirk, long pause* "But now were doing great!"

"Jim and I made up last night so..." *huge smirk*

Oh god, wouldn't that be perfect!!!!????

Lemonade, Beeswax and Marissa87, I love your posts and all your suggestions of how JAM as a couple could be awesome for Season 4. Overall, this season has been a downer and it would be really refreshing for the the new season to take on a different dynamic altogether. If they continue the JAM angst, it will get tiresome. Showing all the things you discussed in your posts would definitely breathe new life into the show. There are so many potential new storylines. I have faith that the writers are as insightful as you three are. I am counting on it! My only hope is that they give us a preview of things to come before the season finale. Say it with me..."NO JAM CLIFFHANGER!!!!!"

YES!! I downloaded a few of their podcasts and HATED IT!!! All they did was b*tch about 'The Office'. I mean, I don't think that everyone should think that The Office is perfect 100% of the time, because I don't. But if you are doing a fan podcast shouldn't you at least LIKE part of it?!

The people who say that will be the first people who will get bored if the Jam will they/won't they-push/pull-limbo goes on indefinitely. Too much of the same thing gets old after awhile. If the show forces this Jam-limbo (or Jambo, if you like) any furthur it will get boring...and unrealistic. I think the Jambo is running out of steam. It's like with Ross and Rachel. In the end, I really didn't care if they got together or not. I mean, I wanted them to but only in principal. They reunion didn't give me much joy only a slight satisfaction. I think the show has MORE s/l possibilites getting them together, than they do keeping them apart.
sedimentary
They wouldn't be so cruel as to keep them apart, would they? I just can't see them giving us this episode of hope this week only to strip it away by not getting them together. Oh yes I can, which is why I can't stand it that there's another week before we get closer to the answer!! AAUGH!!

See, I am getting The Office seasonal adjustment disorder...brought on by thoughts of JAM angst and no resolution!

Yes, they have a couple decent episodes, and I do love that they include sound clips from the episode they are discussing. Them liking the shows I wasn't crazy about wasn't what bugged me, it was them hating the episodes I loved. LOL. But really I just got so fed up because it seemed like they complained FAR more than they praised, and if I'm taking the time to listen to a podcast about a TV show, it means that I am a fan of that show and don't want to here people trashing it 90% of the time. Also, the guys had NO insight all they did was reiderate what happened in that episode.

I love the girls. I love how they swoon over, not only Jam, but the entire show. I always find myself giggling along with them (which could be potential embarrassing since I always listen to them at work). I love that they included their own insight, even though I do not always agree with it.

Man, I would freakin' LOVE if the JP and PD were podcasts!! If someone would just record themselves reading them verbatim and send it to be so I could upload it onto my iPod..I would love them forever.

YES!!!! OMG, I'm so glad someone mentioned this. I listened for about ten minutes, and that was all I could handle. They had no insights, no in-depth analysis, and not much positive to say besides "haha, wasnt that funny". Ugh. The Office deserves so much better than those two.

As there are more episodes that one guy in particular gets really cynical. His friend always has to tell him to stop being so negative

I stoped last time because I was depressed after listing to them.

I would like a podcast with people who have character insight.. deep character insight.
Beeswax_Not_Yours_Inc.
I'm very excited about hearing "The Office Alliance" podcasts! That's just what I need, more discussion about The Office!

Oh, and don't you wish Scrantonbranch would podcast her analyses of JP and PD? That would be incredible!!!! Then she could have a panel of guests to discuss the QTPs. Can you imagine the debates between GP and WOS? I would pay to hear that!

Finally, I will also chant the battlecry with all of you:

NO JAM CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!

I would love for them to work it all out in the episode before the last one, OR at least have things resolved before the end of the show of the season finale. That way we can be left with sweet JAM dreams all summer, like wondering where and what they are going to do on their summer vacation wub.gif

*sigh* Alas, we cannot control what can happen in the brains of the writers. We just don't have the technology.

DITTO all of the above, Beeswax!! Maybe SB would take that on as a summer project after she does her review of S3. GREAT idea!

Here's my cry from the mountaintop to the writers: NO JAM CLIFFHANGER, PLEASE!!!!!

We have endured this entire season of sadness, pain, loneliness, heartache, and finally some self-discovery. Give us something good to go out on & think about all summer!!! tongue.gif

(Oh, I also listen to those Office Alliance podcasts & they are pretty good. That one chick who likes Karen totally bugs me though! She needs to just stop w/ any nice thoughts about Karen. Karen needs to go NOW, end of story.)
Pam_Halpert_1
HAHA, I am a JAMMER and I still like Karen and will be very sad when she leaves. Now Once I see Jim and Pam give eachother a smile I will get over it fast...but still I will be sad. I really like Karen just not with Jim, and I want to see Karen happy!!!( and we all know she wont be happy with Jim)

I really don't think the writers will be a cliff hanger they have set us up all season for JAM getting together. Plus last episode wall all about how they are ment to be together and they did not get together. This season has been all about how they are not together so the logical statement would be.......( really I have convinced myself,so the writers are going to have to keep me sane and do this)

Buit still............NO JAM CLIFFHANGER, PLEASE!!!!!

I would LOVE a JP and PD podcast ( and would SO want to be a guest as well!!) I would so pay money to hear all the discussion, ( even would love if over the summer we re-watched each episode talking about what we saw now that the season is done)

Hi Jammers,

I hadn't been an Office watcher, but I bought season 1, 2, and 3, and now I'm an addict! I am completely taken with the JAM storyline (and I'm a guy!)

I'm all caught up now, just in time to have to wait an extra week for a new episode, it's awful. So I came here to cope with my JAM withdrawal.

I have some specs on what I think is going to happen that I'll share when I can goof off at work some more!
scranton_represent
Welcome to the boards!

The JAM storyline is pretty good, glad to hear your all caught up.

Welcome again!
biscuitrisk
What do you all consider a JAM cliffhanger? I imagine that by the end of the season, Karen and Jim will break up and the JAM situation will end with something like a knowing smile at each other, maybe leaving the office together, but not kissing or declaring their love.

Welcome to your new obsession the boards biscuitrisk! What you stated above is exactly my definition of a "JAM cliffhanger". I want some resolution and to see them together (kissing, preferably) so that we can start next season on a positive note. If they are going to have a cliffhanger, I would prefer it involves other characters like Jan and Michael, Dwangela, etc.

I think we all need a JAM kiss to happen. But wouldn't it be great if FNB was the one initiating this time?

I'll take it anyway they'll give it to us!

I would like to offer up a movie suggestion. Last night I watched Some Kind of Wonderful. The storyline is quite like the Jim/Pam storyline- and it was such a good movie. biggrin.gif I think it may be one of my new favorites. So if you feel the need to look at spoilers- you should go out and rent this movie instead (if you haven't had the chance to see it yet smile.gif )
officerules07
Here's my speculation about JAM: I'm hoping over the next 3 episodes Pam will keep inching closer to Jim, proving she has changed & reminding him why he fell for her in the first place. Meanwhile, Jim will realize that he & Karen aren't right for each other, that they need to end it (maybe a mutual decision) & then he realizes he maybe has another shot w/ Pam. Then maybe in the 5/10 ep Pam will tell Jim that she loves him & that he didn't misinterpret anything w/ no real expectations just wanting him to know. Then in the finale it is made clear that they are together & are moving forward. Basically no real cliffhanger, just 'AHHH, they're together!' Here's hoping!!! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

^^^That would be simply lovely. happy.gif

*EDIT* But there should still be lots of kissing! wub.gif

Ok, so last night I was browsing screencaps looking for good JAM moments for my DS mini vid request. I came across something interesting. When Jim and Pam have their phone call in "The Initiation", I noticed that behind Pam is the "Teamwork" sign and behind Jim is a sign that says, "Window of Opportunity." I'm sure SB's eagle eyes picked this up, but this was before I joined the boards and I just noticed it last night. Also, as I was looking at the start of the cell phone prank, I again noticed the "Teamwork" sign in the background, almost as if to say how well Jim and Pam work together as a team.
Just wanted to add to the giddiness on this thread as the end of the season approaches. I think these last 4 episodes are going to be so great. I didn't start watching on TV until this season, so this is the first time I will see a finale live and I think the anticipation is greater than last season as far as JAM is concerned. I want to thank SB and all the old and new posters on the PD and JP for all the great analyses and insightful comments. There are NO other people I would rather obsess over this couple with than all you guys and gals! Everyone in RL just thinks I've totally lost it!
A toast to courage and honesty!!! wub.gif

I would love, love, love that as well. However, if you've been checking out the spoilers boards, it does NOT look good. I'm talking anarchy, chaos, and all that is wrong with the world (i.e. everything that is brought on when JAM are not together. I think we need a prayer circle.
fleece_it_out
That's an amazing catch EverybodyHurts!!
If that was planned, than that's just insane, and the writers are awesome!

Hey, 2nd drink, I completely stay away from spoilers & I think a lot of other people on this board do too, so could you either delete or hide your post from above? If it doesn't happen the way we all want it to happen, I'd rather be surprised b/c otherwise I'm gonna just get mad. Thanks!

Hi guys! I'm new but I've been looking at this thread for the last week or so and thought I could add a JAM song for you guys.

11:11 PM by All American Rejects (the part I bolded screams Jam while the italicized parts say it quietly in a hopeful voice tongue.gif)

All the windows,
Swear to miss you,
And the doors are cell block tight,
Sweet sedation,
Sweep the issues,
And the clocks about to strike
Did it call you down,
Are you back just yet,
Waiting now please come set me free,
And the only sound is a minute left.

This could be, this could be the last time

It's a chance to fix mistakes,
One more for the last time,
Does it blow our dreams away,
Don't waste this chance with your smile
10 seconds left on this dial,
This could be the last time.

Along the staircase,
I dream to hear you,
In a whisper quiet room,
Space for thinking,
Space to scream to,
But the echoes sound like you,
Not the stars at night,
In a pitch black sky,
I don't know just wants to see you
But the time is right and it only flies

This could be, this could be the last time

It's a chance to fix mistakes,
One more for the last time,
Does it blow our dreams away,
Don't waste this chance with your smile
10 seconds left on this dial,
This could be the last time.

It's only us,
It's only now,
A simple wish,
It's so late tonight
.

This could be the last time,
Now I've made our last mistake
One more for the last time, (This Could Be) (This Could Be)
Does it blow our dreams away,(This Could Be) (This Could Be)
Don't waste this chance with your smile (This Could Be (This Could Be)
10 seconds left on this dial, (This Could Be) (This Could Be)
This could be the last time. (This Could Be) (This Could Be)
It's only us,
It's only now,
It's so late tonight.

Welcome aboard, PeachIceTea! Thanks for your Jammy song.

I think I'm here for my own therapy tonight. I'm feeling a little aprehensive about Jim and Pam and the final leg of this season. I have loved all of the speculation about next season and a united Jim and Pam, but this show is so unpredictable.

Jim and Pam are going to be together, right? RIGHT? RIGHT?

I'm sorry, but no one can kiss like that and not be together forever.

HELP!!!
Pam_Halpert_1
its in the bag!!! I know they will get together....go look at my post about your vid and read just why Jim and Pam should be together.... he needs her more than he needs air!!

Hey guys. I'm new. Maybe because...I just need you guys to hold me. Nobody cares anymore about my office ramblings. But I know you guys will! I am projecting goodness with my positive thinking. I know we will not be disappointed!
