Maybe we should define a full-blown relationship. Are we talking purely in terms of physicality? Jam will have a relationship that is bigger than anything they've had in the past. They'll see each other on a social level now, not just at work.
They'll spend time together at each other's places, they'll talk on the phone, they'll go out to lunch instead of staying at the office. They'll be each other's best friends and more. I don't think they'll be able to spend time together without spending all their time together.
But, I do think that they'll wait a bit for the physical. Even though they have a HUGE history together, it's been a while since they've interacted the way they used to. Plus, don't forget that the only person Pam's ever been with is Roy, so she might be more hesitant than Jim.
All this said, however, we have about 3-4 months before the premiere. If we come into a full-fledged relationship on the premiere, I won't be complaining!
Oh, and good morning everyone!
I have a JAMover! How bout y'all?

I also have a JAMover. About 2 o'clock I started to fade and feel rather sluggish. But I was fading with a smile on my face because a new chapter has begun for Jim and Pam.
I bolded the part of your post that just made me smile like Jim in The Client (I'm not a complainer" smile). Lovely!

Two Things.
1) When Pam said "Absolutely I do" to Dwight, I first remembered that was exactly what Jim said in the Alliance and then immediately thought....wait for it.... when they finally get married in the series finale in about eleventy billtion years:
Officiant: Jim do you take Pam to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold......
Jim: Absolutely I do.
O: Pam, do you take Jim to be your ......
Pam: Absolutely I do.
Now wouldn't that be full circle?!?!?

Please TPTB--hear my suggestion!
2) I can't stop watching the replay of the JAM scene at the end. I need to get a grip.
Well, I am the JAM wedding pusher, so of course I see this as the perfect scenario.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they ran off to Hawaii to get married on the beach this summer and come back as Mr. and Mrs. James and Pamela Halpert. Wouldn't that be a kicker!?!?!

I think Team Sandals has a case. Although it was not Michael's chain of events, it was Jim's New York experience which leads him back to Pam. He was shown thinking of her in NY, leaving New York and going straight to her. If I need to I could make a case for a Michael chain of events that didn't necessarily happen in this episode but did play a part!
QUOTE (QueenOfEngland @ May 18 2007, 11:31 AM)

well I don't know if I can decide on whether Team Sandals won, since that kind of puts me in a bad position (I don't want to be accused of ending the game while I'm ahead...ala Michael in Basketball)
I think we're all adults here and can use the honor system to post the sigs we feel that honor our wager. Is everyone okay with that? No one's keeping tabs here.
I agree with this. This thread is all about JAM fun and frolic, so I'm not going to be hardcore.
Nothing can bring me down from my JAM season-end high!!!

Michael's fringe chain of events:
1. He told Jim about the job opening in NY, causing him to go there!
2. He arranged the Coal Walk, which gave Pam courage.
3. Michael wished for Pam to have courage in WA.
4. Michael left the Office in Office Olympics to go buy his condo, during which time Jim died of boredom, Pam had to revive him, hence the Olympics and the yogurt lid medals.
5. Michael's fixation with Jan's breasts caused her to get an enhancement, which then caused Kevin to compare Karen and Pam's to Jim, and you know that is a factor!
That's all I have for now until I rewatch the episode later. But I am sure there are other links in the chain that other members of Team Sandals could add!!
You make a strong case!

I dont know how i got through last season without my DVR. Everyone needs one.
Can I just throw out there that my FAVORITE line from last night was:
"I'm sorry so is the question, 'How'd I get to be so awesome?'"
Yes, how DID he get to be so awesome!
I guess we have to thank Mr. and Mrs. Halpert for that. Oooo, I hope we get to see or hear about Jim's parents next season. I am so curious.

I wasn't going to post again before I've had a chance to change my sig, but I just had to come back here and say this thread is my haven. It is the safest place for me (and has been for weeks now.) I should be working, but I've been lurking on a few other threads, and man, I just don't get some people. I know I have 'JAM colored glasses' on, but honestly I love the show for so many other reasons, and JAM is just a bonus. But I just don't get how anyone who is a fan of the show could not like Pam. I've had a girl crush on her for a while now, and I just admire her character so much at this point. When Karen said "Pam's kind of a b!tch", at that moment I kind of agreed, but I think she had every right to be.
sorry, i didn't come here to complain or get into anything, I'm just going to stay on this thread because some of the others are really bringing down my season finale high (and I'm not ready to sober up any time soon!)
No matter what happens between JAM, this thread must stay!
Thanks for the put-ups, MarkedArm.
This does feel like a little oasis. It's like the roof of Dunder Mifflin. It's a nice place to sit down, light a candle, enjoy some grilled cheese and soak up the JAM ambiance.

Good morning fellow JAMmers! I barely slept last night and had dreams of Jim and Pam when I did. I've rewatched the last scene more times than I can admit.
I skimmed over the last few pages of this thread and I am glad I didn't bet. Waaaay to confusing! Good luck everyone taking your lumps or props!
I do think we should change this thread name to JAM Celebration, for the summer at least. Beeswax, is that even possible? If not, it doesn't really matter b/c the purpose is still the same: A safe haven where we can all come and obsess together and have fun.
Finally, I just want to comment on what happened with Jim last night. I know there is a lot of talk about Jim still needing to grow and what is "realistic" and where JAM will go now. When David Wallace asked Jim where he saw himself in 10 years, I really believe he was thinking he would want to be married to Pam and have a family with her. That's all he saw which is why he got so flustered during the interview. At that moment, he knew exactly how he felt and what he needed to do. So IMHO, for those of you who are questioning if they love each other, are in love or need to rebuild their friendship first or whatever, I am still going with the 0-60 theory. Jim drove back to Scranton, barged in during Pam's TH because he knew what he wants and he wanted it to start NOW.
I was thinking the same thing. You could just see his mind drift to Pam, a house and children. The life he's always wanted and could not enjoy with anyone else but Pam.
Soooo dreamy!!!

You are so right! I just rewatched the episode in it's entirety without commercials (thank god for itunes!) and she was so wonderfully awful in this episode. I've never been a big Karen hater, in fact I've always felt pretty bad for her knowing she's going to wind up with the short end of the stick, but tonight pushed me into that Karen-hating camp.
What bugged me most was that as soon as she could she ditched Jim before possibly the biggest interview/moment of his career, with nothing more than a "good luck Halpert". I no longer feel sorry for her. If she truly believed that New York and the corporate position was their chance to start over then she would have been more supportive and less self-serving.
I also hated her bit about him not seeing Lorne Michaels. Ugh. Any appreciation of her on my part just completely disappeared.
Karen also left a bad taste in my mouth last night. She just isn't right for Jim. I don't think they have the same outlook on life. It was so apparent when Jim said that he felt bad for Jan and Karen said not to feel sorry for her. Jim and Pam share the same moral center and as much as they like to poke fun and prank, they do not take joy in other people's misery.
Booooo Karen!!!
QUOTE (OfficeObsessed @ May 18 2007, 04:21 PM)

I will go check it out pMS. I have some thoughts on that date!
I am not trying to be all Suzie Sunshine about this, but I think that jim knows JUST where he wants to be and that is with Pam. After Pam's Beach Speech and their brief discussion that followed (THANK YOU GD for the flashbacks!), Jim had time to digest and let what she said sink in. He was uneasy with Karen (but still feigning felicity) up until he was at the interview. When he was sitting in Wallace's office and was asked where he sees his life in 10 years, he had a microburst of clarity. He knew that no life would be a life without Pam to share it with. That is why he raced back to Scranton (I'm thinking maybe he called Karen first and broke up with her..maybe they even met for coffee or something) and burst into the CF during Pam's TH. He couldn't wait another minute.
So, I am utterly confident that they are going to be More Than That at the start of S4. They may keep it toned down in public at first, which will be fun because there are lots of stolen moments (in the supply closet, PH for you) to look forward to, but they will be together, as a couple. They will be the best of friends as well, but they will also be lovers. (

Did I really just say that??)
One thing I do agree on is that they should NOT move in together. There is no reason to rush this.
OMG!!! I love JAM!!!!!!!!
*Going to go watch last 2 minutes of TJ again.*
Love everything you said about Jim and Pam here and I feel the same as you. There is no turning back for JAM now. There is a lot to sort out, for sure, but there will be no "just friends" zone. I think Jim pulled a Katy on Karen and broke up with her on the phone. He has shown no true emotional commitment to Karen and I'm sure they had a long talk on the phone, but Karen is history.
Now if I am to speculate on the rate of their relationship progressing, I'm thinking that a 0-60 scenario is very likely. Everyone needs to re-watch the flashback at the beach (I know, twist your arm). Look at Pam's face when she says, "Well, I wish you would". That girl just walked over fire and she has a fire in her eyes. If our Pam was still Frumpy Pam, then I would say things would probably go slow. We now have full blown FNB and she is going to be honest and very forthcoming with Jim. I don't think it will happen that night, but it will have happened by the time S4 comes around. Mark my words!
