I just wanted to say that we need to believe in JAM.

I agree with everyone who thinks we will come back to a Jam "relationship". Jim just broke up with his gf and skipped out on a great job opportunity to go back to scranton and to Pam. He did not do that so he could just be friends with her. He already had that. You don't break up with someone else to just be friends with someone. And, he did break up with Karen. Jim is not the type of guy to date two girls at once. He did call it a "date".

Jim had a moment of revelation in NY. Ten years from now... he wants Pam in 10 years!!!! Rejoice Jammers... don't be soooo blue.

Watch season 2. See how in love Jim is. He spent the better part of two years in love with Pam. those type of feelings just don't go away. He was convinced back then that Pam was the one for him. He had to try and move on to keep from hurting after CN. He tried very hard, but Pam was always in the back of his mind. Watch his face during the phone call in the convention, watch his face when she is with Roy in ABC and PW. She is still effecting him as much as he tries to move on. Despite his attempts at distance, he has always carried a torch for Pam.

Last night, Jim went back to Scranton knowing exactly what he wanted. He made a life altering decision. He decided to follow his heart... and it took him to Pam.

He knows what he wants. Its what he wanted for three years... he is ready to really be with Pam.

Pam knows what she wants too. She is not gonna hesitate. This is FNB... she takes no prisoners and gets what she wants. Watch her face after he asks her out. How can you even doubt that she wants to be more than that?

All I'm saying is that Jim and Pam have grown a lot this past season. They are ready for this. If they decide to just be friends, then maybe they aren't really meant to be together. I think the writers know this. Its all or nothing right now. If they drag this out anymore, it will stop being believable.

THEY BOTH WANT THIS... what should stand in their way?

Yes, they will have to talk through some issues. They have a lot of things to discuss. They need to talk about CN and forgive each other for what happened this season. I kind of believe that they discussed a lot of these things over dinner. But, this will not take four months to do. A few good talks and they will be ready.

Most relationships do not start with people having really great friendships. You don't have to be best friends with someone to start dating them. Many wonderful relationships start out as casual aquaintances. Jam have more than this. Deep down inside they know each other more than they know themselves.

Yes, Jam needs to re-connect. But, they can do this as a couple. They have evolved this season and they will have fun getting to know each other again as a couple. I think they are even better suited for each other now as they were in season 2.

I think we should all live in the moment right now. Jim and Pam are going on dates!!!! Believe in JAM. Trust the force.

Season 4 will be amazing!!! It's gonna be like season 2 on crack!!! We have a lot to look forward to! Tptb have said that they would not hesitate in getting Jim and Pam together when the time is right. Well, I for one feel that the timing could not be more right. In real life when to people both realize they want to be with one another they don't hesitate.

I think they will take it slow. Jim and Pam both know how important this is and they are going to want to do it right, but they are not going to want to wait. They have been waiting to long already.

They are both very ready for this!!!! IT"S REAL. Trust.

So so so true. This is it, people. This is the big time. There is no impending wedding. There is no "awesome girlfriend". All we have now is Jim, Pam and a beautiful summer.

Indeed, the summer starts with Jemorial Day Weekend, the 4th of Jamuly, and ends with Jamabor Day weekend. Don't even get me started with the fall and Christopher Jamubus day, followed by Jamsgiving, etc.
Maybe we just take the plunge and call it the Year of the Jam.

I didn't get my kiss but I'm not a complainer either. I loved, loved, loved the end. And while I secretly (or not so secretly) want to see the begining of the love (like the first "I Love You" from Pam) I know that whatever TPTB cook up for us will be delicious. I was so proud of Pam all through this episode (I beamed for her), and Jim made me just as proud with the door tapping and engaging invitation at the end.

I hope my sig is within the guidelines and I'm removing it ASAP. How long is the torture again, is it 3 days or 7? And I can't wait to win my pride back in the season premier (GAWD, long summer)!!!

or in the conference room he can try to hold her hand or put his hand on her knee, and then the camera catched it and he quickly removes it whilegiving a beaming smile!!

Did anyone notice that Pam basically said that it took her 3 years to tell Jim how she felt about him? 3 years. Does that mean that she had feelings for him from the moment she met him? Just like he did?

Maybe that was her best worst first date too.

Just wanted to pop in for a quick hello and review of the great posts before I hit the sack. I am staying at the Hilton in lovely downtown Scranton, Lackawanna county, PA. Woooo! I'm exhausted and I have to get up early to get to the brunch. I wrote out the get well card for Jenna and put a bunch of names of JAMmers in as well. If I forgot any of you, you'll have to forgive me, the card is only so big...TWSS.

I will have to wait to get home before I do my Karen sig. I promise I will though.

I agree with OO and Lemonade on the path of JAM. They both know what they want, every time they hesitated, something went wrong. Now they both will voice their feelings, nothing will be misinterpreted ( notice Pam's immediate and forthright "YES")

Okay, here's my sig from losing the second bet. I hope this is alright; it didn't have to be too pro-Karen, right?

So I am going to do light Blue shirts for Jim first, becasue that is what he was wearing in TJ!

* This is about Jim and not Jam.. if you look at it in terms of JAM it starts to break down.. a little

When Jim wears light blue he tends to have either a negative moment in the episode or a moment that makes him reavaluate his "life"

First let us look at the 4 episodes this season

The Convention- At first Jim is wearing an off white shirt ( which is also good), but in the latter half of the episode Jim is wearing a light blue shirt, sleeves rolled up. Now when he is wearing this shirt he comes to the realization that Michael thinks he left Scranton becasue of him. This makes Jim want to tell the truth, hence sleeves rolled up. This realization makes Jim admit that he left becasue of Pam.

Cocktails- Jim wore his light blue shirt this entire time, and the entire time he had some very interesting insights into his relationship with Karen. He saw that Karen was just not doing it. Jim also had his jacket on which means that he was guarded about Karen and the truth of that relationship. He actually tried harder to make it work.

Womens Appreciation- This episode not only gave our Jim the insite that Pam was just awesome but also that people do not percive him and Karen as a strong relationship. It made him reasses his relationship with Karen, which we saw the result in BG. The Jacket was hazy this time. but he did have it on in the elavator, which shows that agian it ended in favor of him ignoring the signs and going for Jaren. But he also had the jacket off in the bathroom so he took that negative realization about his relationship to heart.

The Job ( ekk)- At first he was wearing white, and it showed, he wanted to leave early with Karen.

The he wore some what light blue, which also showed that he was haing signs of struggle. The conversation with Karen on the sidewalk was one of them.

Now I know what you are saying, He asked Pam out how is that bad?? Well just imagine if you were Jim, and suddenly Pam turned your world upside down? yes this was positive, but still he had to come to a decision and make a real hard realization about his life.. I mean where did he picture him self in 10 years??

Now the sleeves and Jacket were hazy to me agian, I have a theory but it is not holding up so any thoughts?

Now do you guys want me to go right to S2 light blue?? or go to Blue for seaosn 3?

Your sig is way too pretty! It doesn't look like Karen belongs in the middle of all that. And that is my all-time favorite Karen-face.

Yeah, I didn't know if it had to be pro-Karen or not, so I took the safe side while still taking a jab at her for being Jim's second choice. And wearing this for three days will give me some time to plan out the next JAM sig I'm going to make because with The Job, the disspiation of my negativity has left me inspired to make a new graphic.

I was finally able to watch The Job about an hour ago, but I have not had anytime to read anything on this or the other threads. I should have stuck with my prediction, I would have at least won the first bet. That is what I get for over thinking. I have not slept in nearly 72 hours, with the exception of one very short and unrestful nap. I am not thinking very clearly and I am not sure what to think of the episode just yet, so my only point in posting is to start my time for losing both bets. Hey Beeswax, I don't know how I missed this post yesterday! (Actually, I do..I was overwhelmed in my JAMminess in trying to read EVERYTHING that was posted!)

Anyway, I wanted to mention that I too had a JAMover. I passed out on my sofa at 4:30 PM Friday with my son sitting next to me playing his guitar. Then I woke up, made dinner for everyone, re-watched TJ with my son (My eyes kept closing except for the JAM scenes). Then I went to sleep at 9:30 PM!! My poor hubby got stuck watching a movie by himself while I slumbered. Wow! Of course, I did drink 2 glasses of wine Thurs. nite while watching TJ and then I finished the bottle with dinner last night which could also explain the early bedtime; however, all I could think about all day was JAM! My are they exhausting. My avatar says it all!!

I am we agree on the direction JAM is going. It is so exciting to think about them together and happy.

I wanted to give props to everyone for your uber-creative KF sigs. I don't really know how to do those, so I did what I could. (Are there instructions anywhere? I prob won't do a fancy KF sig, but I would love to have a nice JAM one!!)

On another note, I need some reassurance. (Sorry, I know this is the positive JAM thread, so please don't throw things at me.) I just watched the end for the 15th or so time, and it suddenly hit me that we don't know for sure that Jim didn't take the NY job. So there is a cliffhanger. Please tell me how crazy I am for thinking this b/c I want them together more than anything, but now I feel like I've fallen back into classic JAM angst - happy one minute, anxious the next. HELP!!

I posted previously on the thread that where Jim saw himself in 10 years was married to Pam and with a family--with her. I purposely didn't say "in Scranton". Because, Jim wouldn't care where he was as long as he is with Pam.

So yes, you are right, there could be a cliffhanger. Maybe Jim was offered the job, maybe Ryan was talking to Karen on the phone. We don't know and that's okay because Jim had a moment of clarity in Wallace's office: He wants Pam! He rushed back to Scranton and barged in on her TH because he couldn't wait another minute to get started on his new life with her. He asked her to dinner and maybe part of the conversation will be that he was offerered the Job and will she come with him to NY. I don't know for sure and that is fine. But please, rest assured, they are together, they love each other and nothing is going to get in the way of that ever again.....but then, this is a TV show and we are at the mercy of the writers!!!

Team Voldemort: These are people who think Karen will either make a huge mistake with Jim, or get sick of his indecision and call him out to be fair to both her and Pam.

In the end I really do think it was Jim remembering how much Pam means to him and finally seeing that the hypothetical had come to be reality. And so it was really Pam and Jim themselves. But I want at least partial credit for getting it right about Karen and her ultimatum. I will be fine with flying Karen's flag for another day just wanted to gloat a little

I mean, after CN everyone was probably excited too, but look what happened in GWH. Of course, that situation was much more complicated - Pam was getting married soon so a lot would've happened to bring about the happy ending at the start of S3. I need to not think so much & just believe that JAM is together b/c otherwise I think I'm gonna drive myself crazy all summer.

I hate to admit that despite my reassurances, I am worried to for the very reason you mention. We were all left so elated at the kiss at the end of CN and they yanked the rug out from under us in the first 20 seconds of GWH. But I don't think they'll do that again and all signs point to the fact that Ryan got the job. BJ's blog even said that he'll be Michael's boss. That's not to say that they won't throw some other curve balls at us, but the one thing I feel pretty secure on is that Jim will be back in all ways in September.

FNOR, there has been a lot of discussion about this job and whether or not it was really Wallace talking to Ryan, etc. But BJ was pretty clear in the live blog about Ryan's future as Michael's boss. I never bought that they were trying to throw us for a loop about who was on the phone with Ryan. But his confirmation is proof positive in my book. It makes sense when you think that they would want to hire a MBA fresh out of business school, and the job is not about sales, but about management. We heard alot about Ryan not making a sale because it was the only thing that Michael had "one-upped" him on. Ryan has been very ambitious, and I can see him doing a great job in the interview. There are lots of other reasons, but I wont go into them here. Go to the poll that Jazzman started about Who Got the Job? Officionada had a great post about it. Trust me, Jim did not take that job. It went to Ryan.


I think what they did in GWH was not throwing us for a loop. I think that they went the way that the characters were leading the story. It was the natural progression of things. But we got positive outcomes of the kiss, not just negative. The most positive thing that came out of Casino Night was that Pam did not marry Roy. It was a huge plot point, and it didnt lead to her directly running to Jim, but the whole of season three allowed her to grow into the person who really deserved to be happy (with Jim or otherwise). No matter what, they are not going to end the season on such a positive note, and open it on a negative one.

Jim has never lost his feelings for her. They are both single now(well, we assume that Jim would not ask her out on a date if he had not broken up with Karen). We were left with them going out on a date and a positive proof that Jim was staying in Scranton and not going to NYC. That means that the characters are leading in the direction of forming a relationship. Never fear!!! We got good JAM in the finale, we will get better JAM in the premiere!
