After you all have enjoyed Jules' new fab video, please check out this one.

It will spur on that girl crush we have on Pam

I'd love to see this with some FNB clips added, but it is amazing as it is.

Ok, can you tell that I've got the day off? The kids are napping on the couch and I'm surfing for JAM vids.

It's Victoria Day here in Canada and we all get the day off to celebrate Britain's longest reining queen. Queen Victoria, as confirmed on wikipedia, reined Britain for 63 years and 7 months. Way to go Vicky!

So, as a tribute to Queen Victoria, please watch this video. It includes the soundtrack of one of my fave British movies, Love Actually. It was made for Valentine's Day, but it's just so sweet.

One thing I also noticed in OO is when Jim is holding the opening ceremonies, he keeps eye contact with Pam almost the entire time. It is as if he is performing just for her. (I dont want to hear a TWSS tongue.gif )

I really feel like he held the closing ceremonies just so Pam would get the chance to use the paper doves that she worked so hard on. Look how happy she is when he tells her to notify the atheletes.

I Can't wait to do my homework tonight!!!

Thanks for forwarding! That was very good. Hopefully something close to this will actually be played out in S4.

Wow, it's taken me all this time to read through everything since the season finale! My hubby is out of town this week so I have a little more "board time." I actually really liked that fan fic. I can't wait to see how things actually go.

This discussion has kinda died down a little but I still wanted to just throw in my 2 cents. After the episode first aired, there was a lot of debate whether they'll decide to just be friends for a while, or jump right into things as a couple. I really think there's a big space between "just friends" and living together or engaged. So here's my thoughts. I think they'll definitely start dating almost immediately, but I think they'll take their relationship kinda slow. They'll definitely be more than friends, and be spending a lot of time together, but my lowly prediction is that the beginning of the season will have them just starting to take those big "commitment" type steps in their relationship. I am really hoping for some clips of their dates over the summer, though- especially the first one! Hey, if they could show clips of Jim & Karen in New York, then SURELY we can ask for some clips of JAM! :-)

And now I'm going to be brave and check out the JP & PD- sounds like things are calm in there now!

I agree. It will take some time for them to fully reconnect, but once they do its full speed ahead. I am looking forward to watching them being written as a couple that happens to also be best of friends. It will be interesting! Also, It would be nice to fudge the real time thing as the beginning will make for some of the best TV I think.

Thanks to the gift from QOE for making the 3000th post, I had the chance to meet with Jim regarding his upcoming date with Pam. I gave him all of your wonderful ideas for his first date and sent our collective best wishes.

He asked for advice about what to bring to Pam as a gift when he picks her up. He thought flowers would be nice and I told him that would be a good idea as flowers are always appreciated. But I suggested that he might also want to put a memory box together of things that would be significant of their journey. Pam had held onto her gold medal and that he should return this gesture.

I came up with a few ideas for the memory box but thought you would have some good ideas to add.

I suggested:
- A can of grape soda to show that even though he had evolved, he hadn't gone too far and some things always remain favorite and close to our hearts
- A can of coke as an emergency in case a jinx should ever occur so that they'd never have to go a day without talking again
- The card that he meant to include in with Pam's teapot Christmas gift. He wouldn't tell me what it said just that he'd signed it "Love, Jim".

So now it's your turn -- put on your thinking caps and come up with some other things that Jim should include biggrin.gif

It is my belief that we will at least get to see that first real date because the documentary crew witnessed Jim asking Pam out. So whether they spy on them or they ask to follow along, I think we'll get to see some footage of that date. That's just my opinion and I think that's why they wrote it where Jim barges in the door and asks Pam out, in front of the doc crew...because I think that then sets it up for us to be able to see some of the initial JAM action!!! Win-win!

I agree in that I think they will be together, together, but not rush things. But as Billy Crystal said to Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally,

"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start right now."

So I think that's where we'll be with Jim and Pam...dating, boyfriend, girlfriend...making out...but respecting eachother and definately committed to eachother!!

YEAH! Again, "Hey, hey, you, you I really love your new girlfriend!"
herecomestrouble
I agree that they will show us a lot of the beginning of their relationship including the first date. I dont think that this time the story would be better served if they stayed in real time. Last season, it was. But this time, we need to pick up right where we left off. Many TV shows do this -- teeter back and forth between "real time" between seasons and not. So, I vote to no longer fret over whether or not we will see the date, but instead celebrate and speculate all that it will be!!!!

Jim should include a copy of Islands in the Stream from Email Surveillance so she can hear his magnificent duet with Michael once more!

He should also offer to watch Legally Blonde with her as well.

My husband's second gift to me (after sending me a dozen roses after our first date -- I went on vacation the following week and they were waiting in my room) was a dvd of a sappy movie I had mentioned loving while we were at dinner that first time --- Notting Hill. I watched it so much that it wore out.

I love Notting Hill! When I went to London a few years ago, I went there and Bill Withers, "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone" was playing in my head as I walked the streets and markets.

Hi Everybody!

I love this thread, I've been reading it constantly for days. biggrin.gif
But I've been way to shy to post. =)
So I'm gonna be like Pam and summon the courage to post on here!

I just want to say how UTTERLY HAPPY I was when Jim said "it's a date". In fact, my reaction will be brought up amongst my family for years to come. My one friend (who's always hanging out outside by my house) said she could hear me from across the street. But I don't beileve her. biggrin.gif

My shyness is getting the better of me so I don't know what else to say =)

you guys should check out deviantart for some JAM pics. But you have to search: jim pam the office or else some pretty crazy stuff pops up.
Or just click the link =): http://search.deviantart.com/?section=brow...+pam+the+office

OK - dumb question hope you don't mind. I just watched two of your videos (wonderful!) and want to watch the rest but have to actually get something done tonight. Is there a way I can put your video's into some sort of a favorites so I can get back there? Sorry I am new to Youtube.

Great job! So much easier to watch though since seeing that Finale.

OK, I'll play...

I think Jim should give Pam that strand of her hair he found on his sweater after she kissed him back on Casino Night. He saved it because he just wanted to hold on to a piece of her...

It was me who gave you the gift, but I'm honoured that you would mix up QofE and me, because she is the bees knees.

Anyhoo, I'm glad you had a good time with Jim and I love the memory box idea. I think there is a JAM Hopechest thread out there, but I like that we are pretending in here.

I would suggest that Jim put the following in the memory box:
  • his ipod so that they can do some real swaying
  • a coupon for the rental of a bouncy castle so that he can follow through with what he was thinking when he was smiling at Pam in ST
  • keys to the supply closet (that's for you PH, I miss you when you don't have a computer!)
Oh, and something just dawned on me. If Pam kept the OO medal, she must have a little memory box somewhere of things that remind her of Jim. I wonder what she has kept?

My shyness is getting the better of me so I don't know what else to say =)

you guys should check out deviantart for some JAM pics. But you have to search: jim pam the office or else some pretty crazy stuff pops up.
Or just click the link =): http://search.deviantart.com/?section=brow...+pam+the+office

^^^ laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif I just went through about five minutes of serious confusion before I figured out what happened. (I'm not that dense, it's just that I sometimes loose track of what I've posted.) Ummm.... well thanks anyways mybestfriend! I'll take a shoutout any day, even when it's not meant for me. cool.gif
And I'm honored to be confused with Beeswax, who is true royalty on this board.

Thanks to everyone who watched my video!!

mbergen, the only way I know to save videos on YouTube is to put them in a playlist. But in order to that, you have to have a YouTube account. They're free, and then you can just save all your favorite videos, so I highly recommend it if you don't have one already!! smile.gif (plus, an account also means you can comment and rate YouTube videos, which certain people *cough*me*cough* love when you do... wink.gif )

QOE, Bees... I am so sorry! I don't know how I mixed you up. I guess it's just that you're both so extra awesome.

Thanks to both of you for straightening me out rolleyes.gif

So, as a tribute to Queen Victoria, please watch this video. It includes the soundtrack of one of my fave British movies, Love Actually. It was made for Valentine's Day, but it's just so sweet.

Thanks for posting!! I loved that video when I first saw it. Love Actually is one of my faves. So to have that song with TO clips was great!

Now everybody, we need to help Jim. So back to the topic, we need some more ideas for the memory box to give Pam.

I've been thinking about this and believe it or not, my mind keeps coming up blank. All I can think of for him to give her is himself! I know that sounds incredibly corny, but I mean it. I just want him to hold her in his arms. wub.gif

Kay I got it up.

I picked that Quote over " What? Karen is lighter"

Good thing I will be gone so I do not have to see it.

Don't shoot me but I go Awww everytime I see that just because of Jim.. I do not even think I see Karen!

Is it wrong that I can't imagine the season 4 premier being any better than that description of their first date? wub.gif

I wasn't sure where to post this little story but the Therapy thread seems to make sense.

I'm a high school teacher and I have a lot of great students. One of my students is moving at the end of the school year. Like me, he is a fan of The Office, though I'm considerably more obsessed. He gave me a little going away present this morning. When I entered my classroom today, I saw my stapler in Jell-O! I would post a pic but it isn't the right kind of file.

One of the many reasons I love my job!

Ooh, I really liked both of those fanfics! It's going to be such a long, lonely summer. At least I'll have reruns to look forward to!

CS! Love that prank! That kid has a great sense of humour!

I'm actually scared of teenagers so that's why I teach 6 year olds. More power to ya!

Oh, and Queen, LOVE your new sig! The expression on their faces along with the dialogue just made me grin big.

The Summer of JAM continues!

That's pretty cool. However, if I was you, I'd have kicked a trash can, yelled "I need to know who put my calculator in Jello, or I'm gonna lose MY FRICKIN' MIND!" and then put my fist through half-inch drywall. smile.gif

That actually made me a little teary. How awesome is that All I can say is you must be a great teacher so it is a testament to your impact on your student.

Also a bit off topic, but speaking of The Office in our workplaces - one of my best friends at the office left for a new job a month ago. On his last day he sent a thanks and goodbye email to the whole group including VPs, etc. At the end of it he wrote:

P.S. I would like to leave you all with a quote from someone who has been a source of inspiration and clarity for me.

"Whenever I’m about to do something, I think “would an idiot do that?” and if they would, I do not do that thing." - Dwight K. Schrute

Not that I wasn't already going to miss him, but suffice to say when I read this, I laughed and then I cried.

YAY - love it, Queenie! Pam loves Jim!!

I was watching the Cheeseburger video again last night & realized my very favorite, "get all warm & gushy inside" part is at 1:50 when it goes:
"Cheeseburger please do not get angry. He'll eat and be back here for lunch!
Cause you're his cheeseburger, his precious cheeseburger.
Be back for you-oo, he'll be back for you-oo!"
because it shows Jim going to Pam's desk in The Return & her hugging him in The Merger - oasis in the desert of S3!! So sweet...wub.gif

QOE, love, love, love your signature!!! Can I ask what program you used to create it?? I want to make myself a signature, but don't know where to start...I am not creative like that!! And I want to get rid of my losing signature of JAREN...and get a new one of JAM up!!
