I just want to say how AWESOME everyone here is! In real life, I am usually the one that doesn't shut up, but I vastly prefer reading these boards than posting to them. You guys are all so intelligent and passionate and insightful!
FYI, I am going to that convention. It majorly conflicts with my only other real passion in life -- Florida Gator football -- but I'm just going to have to find a way to bring the two together. My husband thinks I'm insane but he said I could go. I already booked a room at the Radisson because that's where everyone from the board said they were staying. I hope there is cast there, but even if there isn't, it will be cool to see places from the show and hang out with other flans.
And lastly, I posted this on the first date thread but I thought I'd put it here too. I keep thinking about how all the press reports from Jenna's injury said that her husband dropped everything to fly to New York to be by her side and while I know it's wrong of me, that makes me angry. I am right there with you gatorjenni!!! I actually felt incredibly sad that while Jenna was laid up, John and Rashida were sneaking into Shrek together. And I had to remind myself that it wasn't Jim leaving Pam hurting while he goes off on a date with Karen...it was real life!!!
Yes, the lines get blurred...I do have this fantasy that while we all think it was Jim pining away for Pam, in reality the reason it seemed so brilliantly acted is because John was actually pining away for Jenna...So I am secretly wishing that were true and that Jenna wasn't married anymore...

Wow! That was alot of catching up to do! I, too, had tons of fun doing the homework that I assigned myself. One thing I wanted to add about Ryan throwing his away. It's a metaphor for the way he lives his life. He participates in relationships, but he doesn't invest and they don't mean anything to him. In the end, he's more than willing to throw them away for something better.
I really, really loved watching OO. I've stated before that it's prolly my least fav, but NOT ANYMORE! Now that I know how it contributed to them getting together, I love it!!! (For HP fans, I felt the same way about Chamber of Secrets. Least fav until I realized the plot points that were so important to future storylines!

Thanks so much sedimentary! I just used Adobe Photoshop (not the latest version, but I don't remember which). I think they have a free trial download of it at their webiste. I'm definitely no expert at it, and I was able to make that pretty easily.

That's exactly how I picture it too PMS! I also imagine that they were probably being watched pretty closely by at least Karen from afar, and everyone else had to be a little curious as to what was going to happen between them.
Can I also just say about that hug... I love how her hand lingers on his side for just a little longer. *sigh* I think season 4 is going to kill me.

Maybe it's because he wants to be there with her - he's smiling? Much of the rest of the episode it seemed like he was doing things cause Karen wanted him to and seemed pretty unhappy - like the haircut because she said he looked homeless. He did smile when Pam said she liked it though.
I was watching a Youtube video last night with a bunch of the actors from, I guess right before the show was on? Where he had a military style haircut - which I definitely don't like as well as the bit longer hair, almost didn't recognize him, but when he smiled he looked like Jim again and looked cuter. He didn't look like Jim with the new haircut at first I guess until he was smiling.
Can I add, I really liked the hat look as well - in that beach scene.

Aw, Pam, you just know how to get me with the James and the married names.
Andy/Drew gave us one of the few sweet JAM moments this season. That phone pass off and Pam's face while she's calling was a S3 highlight. I'm sure there's more fun to come in S4.
I can see I made a wise choice when I went with you two as my Number Twos. But you have given the thread an extra dose of naw-teee, so I must give you some kind of punishment. 10 minutes in the supply closet with James Halpert. I'll keep Miss Beesly occupied with a barrage of questions about her date with James so that she doesn't suspect you two are "manhandling" her boyfriend.
