Welcome aboard, PeachIceTea! Thanks for your Jammy song.
I think I'm here for my own therapy tonight. I'm feeling a little aprehensive about Jim and Pam and the final leg of this season. I have loved all of the speculation about next season and a united Jim and Pam, but this show is so unpredictable.
Jim and Pam are going to be together, right? RIGHT? RIGHT?
I'm sorry, but no one can kiss like that and not be together forever.
HELP!!!
*Sigh* *watches Beeswax's signature about 10 times*.......Oh--Did you say something? Sorry, I was a little mesmerized. Oh yes....you are
RIGHT! That kiss is pure *sigh*
Maybe it was watching Pam break down in tears again tonight, but I am feeling a combination of sadness and impatience. I wish they would get together already. I am quoting someone from earlier who said that if they drag it on too long it will be like R*ss and R*ach*l on Fr**nds--no one will care when they finally do get together. Pleeeese, do not do that to us!!!

All right, now we're talking. We need more people like you here. Let's focus on the positive.
Oh, and Pam Halpert, you are always there for us. We all must focus on the fact that your screen name will one day become a real character name on The Office.

I posted this on the Spoiler AA page, but I think we need it here more...
BUT I will tell you what my very wise hubby told me when I told him about the upsetting post. He said our worst case scenario is that Jaren is still together, but Pam has at least told him. He said there is no way TPTB would do everything they've done this year & not end w/ some kind of resolution (i.e. Pam admitting her feelings or something). He forsees a CN reversal, which I would actually be fine w/, even though I think it's cliche.
Best case scenario, Pam & Jim are together @ season's end. Middle case scenario, Jaren is broken up; JAM is finally becoming a reality. I feel better now - summaries are misleading; newbies can be mistaken; & there is no way the finale cliffhangers have leaked. It's all good.

I am going to sit back and enjoy what happes, take it all in.. and when the last scene of season 3 ends it is goingto be sooo worth it!!!
Take heart JAM wil happen the writers are going to move the story lines along they wont keep them hanging!!
Next weeks it is four straight!!! and guys it is going to be awesome!!!
Just look at how Far Pam has come, look at how far Jim had come!!! The writers are doing this for a reason!!
Remember, in ST Pam and Jim both took bets and they both won, the onyl person who lost was Karen... I think this is going to echo other scenes later on just like the betting on CN did ( but in a good way!!)

I know how you feel jamonmybread. All my friends are getting sick of me bringing it up all the time. Today I tried explaining to one of my co-workers why JAM is destined to be together by the end of the season. I went into this major analysis of how this whole season is a setup for jam-kisses (much like the one I posted a few pages back). She was into it for like the first 5 minutes, and then she started looking at me like I was crazy and slowly backing away. But come on! Am I supposd to go 8 hours without mentioning Jam? I don't think so!

Fear not fellow jammers! I have been spoiler free for a couple of weeks now, but I have it on good authority that there are no spoilers out there for the finale (or the episode before it). Its all spec right now. Remember how CN creeped up on us? The possibilities are endless and nobody knows how its going to go right now.

Exactly! The entire point of having Pam grow and evolve into FNB is so that she can spill her heart to Jim. It has to happen and it will! We know what Pam is going to do but, Jim is our wild card. We don't know how he will react. I think the worst case senario is that he will reject her, but that is unlikley considering it would be TOO MUCH like casino night. These writers are awesome and talented and innovative. They wont recycle the same plot twice. They always seem to shock me. Even when I speculate something to death, they always manage to come up with something amazing that I never expected. We are in for a treat!

Alright, so I have a fansite, which in turn has a Myspace page (see signature for linkage). For my profile song, I try to pick stuff that I feel fits that weeks episode. So this week, for Pam in Back From Vacation, I picked "Fidelity" by Regina Spektor. In BFV, Pam is on the path to becoming FNB, but she had a long way to go, and I think this song reflects that (in other words, kind of sad, but still hopeful)
Regina Spektor "Fidelity"
(Shook it up)
I never loved nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost in the sounds
I hear in my mind
All of these voices
I hear in my mind all of these words
I hear in my mind all of this music
And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
when it breaks my heart
Suppose I never, ever met you
Suppose we never fell in love
Suppose I never, ever let you kiss me so sweet and so soft
Suppose I never, ever saw you
Suppose you never, ever called
Suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall
Just to break my fall, just to break my fall
Just to break my fall
Break my fall
Break my fall
All my friends say that of course it's gonna get better
Gonna get better
Better better better better better better better
I never loved nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost
In the sounds
I hear in my mind
All of these voices
I hear in my mind all of these words
I hear in my mind
All of this music
And it breaks my heart
And It breaks my heart

That was awesome! Thanks for lifting my JAM-spirits Lemonade! It might be the late hour, but the lyrics are strangely fitting:
"You're his cheeseburger, his tasty cheeseburger. He'll wait for you-o-oo. Oh he will wait for you" And Karen is the "bacon and eggs for half price"!!!
Yeah, I think it's time for me to go to bed now.

PH, Your 'friend' sounds like she is psyching herself out with the worst case scenario, so that no matter what she won't be disappointed with the outcome, and she is trying to bring you along for the ride down. You know how misery loves company. I will tell you something, PH and you can hold me to it. If ANY of these unmentionable things that you mentioned happen, I will stand on the front lawn of my house after the season finale and shout as loud as possible that "The Office is the worst and stupidest show on TV!" (I drink enough wine while watching that I would probably do it too!) I know that is blasphemy, but I say it with confidence because IT WILL NOT TURN OUT THAT WAY!!! If it did, I for one would not stick around to watch season 4, I'd go back to the idiotic soap operas I used to watch when I was in college.
So, please do not let this friend or anyone else ruin your day. I know I won't! BTW, it's in the 60's and sunny where I live today for the first time since, oh, September!!!
If you can, download this song onto your Ipod
NOW and sing along:
I Can See Clearly Now
I can see clearly now the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way,
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
I think I can make it now the pain is gone,
And all of the bad feelings have disappeared,
Here is the rainbow I've been praying for.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
Look all around, nothing but blue skies.
Look straight ahead, nothing but blue skies.
I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.

PH - **HUGS** Repeat after me, it WILL be okay. Jim & Pam belong together & everyone knows it. Pam now knows it & FNB is ready to fight for him. Jim's heart knows it, but right now his head is telling him no. After Pam confesses her feelings (which she will before S3 ends, I just know it!), his head will allow his heart to take over again. Karen knows it & soon will be unable to stop it. The writers know it - why else would they have spent all of S2 & S3 setting up this whole scenario? Yes, the new summaries depressed me originally, but they never tell you everything - only enough to make you want to watch it (ratings = the name of the game). Good things are coming - maybe not next week - but they are coming. I will join OO & race out to my front yard & dump The Office if terrrible things happen over the next 4 weeks, but I don't think they will. I asked my hubby last night (oh wise one) what if Jim proposes to Karen or something horrible & he said very confidently, "HE WON'T!" He really could care less about JAM but realizes how TV shows work - they don't waste all of this time & energy on something & then not make it happen. REPEAT AFTER ME, IT WILL BE OKAY. JAM WILL HAPPEN. FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS.
P.S. GREAT idea to ignore your friend's text messages. Actually, if I had a friend like that, I'd tell her to stop, or I wouldn't talk to her again until May 18th. Tell her to take her negativity elsewhere.

I have to admit that I too am having a low JAM moment. I was on such a high last week after Safety Training and then last nights episode just brought me back to where I was after the breakroom scene.
BUT the optimist in me thinks they did this for a reason...to remind us of the pain Pam and Jim have been through so it is that much sweeter when it happens! RIGHT!!?? Isn't that the answer? If not, I will jump off the building onto the bouncy bounce...but for safety reasons, I will try to land like an eight year old!

Ok, we need some positive thinking in this thread. I felt so bad reading PH's post today; don't let the naysayers get you down. I don't read spoilers; the only things I know are the episode titles; not the summaries. Now, BJ said at Paley that everyone knows how important Jim and Pam are and that they won't "take a left turn" or do something crazy with their storyline; and he's one of the writers, so to me that means that Jim and Karen are not going to last. I don't care what happens during the rest of the season: Karen can use the "L" word, they can talk about furthering their relationship, moving to NY, marriage, whatev, I don't care, it won't happen, when S4 starts, Jim will still be in Scranton with Pam, and JAM will begin their new journey reconnecting as friends and "more than that." I totally believe that!
Remember from the JP and PD how the episodes parallel other episodes/seasons. Remember as S2 was winding down. Pam was happy as a clam doing all her marriage planning at work; Jim was just miserable and getting more and more desperate. He was soon going to lose her to Roy forever! In CR, Pam finds out that Jim actually complained about her to Toby! It wasn't until the very end of CN, the very end of the season that we got something that gave us hope! We may be following a similar trend as S3 winds down. Jim and Karen may seem to be doing great; Karen may become more aggressive after seeing Jim and Pam interacting in ST. Pam will become increasingly desperate, as it appears that she will soon lose Jim to Karen. Again, we may have to wait for the last moments of the last episode for the long awaited emotional honesty from Pam to Jim. GP will stand up and applaud at that time! Pam will confess her feelings, I think she will leave the choice in Jim's hands; maybe she'll give him a quick kiss or squeeze his hand, and then leave. Jim will then stare after her with that "heart vs. head" look we've seen from him so often. Just like Pam had to make a choice regarding Roy at the end of S2, so Jim will have to decide at the end of S3: Karen or Pam. And, frankly, duh, we know who he'll pick. Cue Season 4!
The Office has won an Emmy and the SAG award. It was readily renewed for S4. GD can pretty much do whatever he wants. He has stated that the story of JAM will proceed at his pace; not the pace we want. He says he doesn't care about the ratings or fitting this show into a typical sitcom mold; he wants it to be real, which to us is agonizing and tortuous. Well, we don't have much of a choice, guys. Either we hang in there or stop watching. And this show is just too great to give up over JAM frustration.
When she was interviewed for Blades of Glory, Jenna was asked about the finale. She said that "a lot of ground is covered; a lot of 'awesome' ground." When asked about what we had to look foward to in S4, she had a huge smile on her face and said, "Can't you tell by my smile?" Now seriously, would Jenna, who IS Pam, be that happy if JAM wasn't going to happen? Faith people.
And to reiterate, I am NOT spoiled. This is just my own speculation. I've always felt since the b-ball scene in Cocktails that Wallace had bigger plans for Jim, maybe a promotion. I think this may be what forces Pam's hand in the finale.
Sorry for the overlong post. I hate seeing anyone that sad over a couple that are truly meant for each other! Thanks for reading!

Wow! I go away for a day and Pam Halpert has a meltdown!
How are things sitting with you now, PH? Have all of these awesome videos cheered you up? I especially enjoyed the Jim Cuddy video (Pull me through). He is Canadian and I hear that song on the radio a lot and have always thought of it as a JAM song.
I really don't know what to say about what's going to happen. I am spoiler free and am very scared of spoilers and their power to do evil.
I guess we just have to put our trust in the writers to do the right thing. I mean, sure, Pam getting together with Roy again was a kick in the grief bone for us, but it was a means to a FNB end.
You know, it would be nice if someone knew some positive JAM spoilers and came in here just to hold us and tell us everything was going to be all right.
*edit: I laughed out loud at the Veggie Tales video. Both kind of creepy and adorable all in one*

Thanks so much for recommending those. Squirrel Mcpants was outstanding, one of the better ones I've read. I didn't feel embarrassed for reading it. Very believable.
Why couldn't we read this stuff in class, Fully?

Thanks for boosting us, EverybodyHurts!
We also have to remember that like Tim and Dawn in UK Office, Pam and Jim are the heart and soul of The Office.
Let's just keep on watching our Jammy vids and reading our Jammerific fan fic and not fret over things we have no control over. Here is a great quote from one of my fave movies, Parenthood, that we can apply to all of us JAM fans:
You know, when I was nineteen, Grandpa took me on a roller coaster...Up, down, up, down. Oh, what a ride!...I always wanted to go again. You know, it was just so interesting to me that a ride could make me so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled all together! Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it. It's not easy being a JAM fan, but the ride will be worth it.

I am sorry if I made you feel bad

I heard the same interviews, and I got excited.... then
that happened and I twisted there statements..
I have done a lot of thinking, and I think I now know what is really bothering me. JIM.
He is not happy, I am hurt everytime I watch him because he is just so sad. The only thing I want is at the end of this season is for Pam to be happy and Jim to be really happy!! Just as long as I see Jim walk through those doors to show Pam he chose her, I will be happy! Just a smile and a nod and I will he a happy little camper!!!

I am in a very happy mood ( SB's little comment about how Jim has really dug a whole for himself made me slide, but I am good!! It just hurts me to see my little baby in such pain... and with THAT woman...)
Back to my happy self!!!...If you read he spoiler AA thread I am not as spoiler free as I want to be, but I am now not leaving the comfert of this board so I will not be spoiled for like the 6th time today)

Yes! We have to stick together and not let the spoiler demons get us down. I always seem to have a little JAM devil on one shoulder and a JAM angel on the other whispering in my ear. Sometimes one is louder than the other!
Let's all remember, too, that from what I've read, Rashida Jones is doing a pilot for Fox for next year. I hope it does
really well

I wish her all the best. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

And remember, PH, why is Jim sad? Why isn't Jim his happy self? HE ISN'T WITH PAM, HIS TRUE SOULMATE! No other reason. The planets are not in alignment....yet. But it will happen, of that I'm sure!

EverybodyHurts: That was an excellent take on the situation. GD and the writers will keep it realistic and we'll all be happy and entranced with the nuances of the JAM relationship through season 4. I'd be happy as long as Karen was effectively out of the picture (even in a long distance relationship from NY with Jim) and it gives JAM some space to breathe. I wouldn't be surprised if Jim and Pam don't actually get together until Season 4. Season 3 will just end on a positive and hope-inspiring note.
Also, good catch on Jenna's interview responses about the end of S3 and S4. You just know she wants Jim and Pam together and that's why she's smiling.
As for the spoilers, I've read them all and I've seen no reason to be more or less hopeful about JAM getting together. Most of the stuff out there is just snippets that can be taken out of context. The episode descriptions are vague - they can be interpreted to mean anything!

Like BiscuitRisk said, I'm spoiled (very very spoiled) but there's no spoilers (at least from reliable sources) as bad as what Pam Halpert's friend said. There are actually (blacking out in case this is spoilery) few JAM spoilers out there, and they are vague at best. It's a big storyline, and I'm sure The Office people are keeping everything under lock and key.

Remember also that between S2 and S3, there was tons of speculation, but the one critical thing necessary to the future of JAM occurred: Pam didn't marry Roy. If Pam had gone through with the wedding, that would have been it for JAM.
The one thing this season that must occur is that Jim and Karen break up. By September, Karen will be out of the picture, so that Jim and Pam can finally move foward, each single, having gone through some tough emotional growth, and ready to freely choose each other.

BLAH!!!!
I just had to post on the spoiler AA thread, because I've gone and read the ep summaries for the rest of the season.
I hate so much about the things I chose to do.
BUT, the good thing about tonight is that there is a new chap of Squirrel up tonight. I guess that's even stevens.
