Chest Hair!!!! It's funny because one day my husband (who is jealous of my infatuation with JK) said, "he's always showing his chest hair on the show". I was quick to inform him that the ONLY instance of showing chest hair was in The Convention because I would remember if it had happened again! Then I said, "wait, why did YOU notice the chest hair?"

OK so I was going to get off the boards & go to bed... But as I was watering flowers & locking doors and turning off lights, I just kept thinking about Queen's comment that Pam is out of S3 Jim's league. My conclusion is... S1 Pam, yes, she wouldn't have caught S3 Jim's attention in real life. But S3 Pam (our beloved FNB) is totally in the same league with Jim- emotionally, she's probably ahead of him! I think he's just been so closed off. She has really grown so much, and shown a lot of leadership in the relationship. So I think they're still very well matched. If she hadn't made those important changes, Jim would be moving to NY with Karen right now.

Yikes, it really was that close wasn't it???

I think that S3 Pam is someone Jim is really going to love getting to know. After all, he kept himself so closed off from her all season...this is just going to add so much to what he already loves about her!! It's like the icing on the cake!!

Sorry to keep you up Beasley! I think you guys are right, that them being in the same league is about character, not appearance. (Gosh, I feel so superficial now!) I have officially been swayed, and that's why I come here: for JAM therapy. It's so nice to know the system works.

ITA! Like you said, he hasn't let himself really get to know her this season. I think that's why she caught him so off-guard during BG & TJ. he didn't realize she'd developed so much honesty & courage! She's still the same warm, wonderful, sweet Pam as before- but now she has confidence & knows what she wants: JIM! He's going to be head over heels.

As for appearance... I don't know, I don't think S3 Jim is quite as hot, but that's probably because he's so unhappy. he is more fit & more trendy, yes... I guess I just loved him more as Old Jim. I think Pam has made some progress in her hotness as well. We'll probably see more of that as S4 progresses. Amazing what being in love will do!

If you notice Jim always gets very uncomfortable whenever anybody comments on Pam's looks. I used to think it might be jealousy or the fact that he was afraid to reveal his feelings around the camera, but now I like to think that it's because he loves her so much that he has problems with anyone objectifying her.

Jim Halpert's mama raised him right! He loves her, appreciates her inner and outer beauty and he is going to treat her so good! I love it in The Dundies when he opens the door for her...and even more that he thanks Angela for taking Pam home!! Sweetness...

OK, now I am tearing myself away...must...get...sleep!

I've been watching season 1 a LOT lately, and although Hot Girl has always been one of my least favorite episodes (not terrible, just not one of my favorites), I just realized what a great episode it is, especially this scene:

In the break room, talking about Katy, Kevin asks Jim what his "type" is. Jim immediately looks at Pam, then looks back and forth between Pam and Roy a couple times while trying to think of the right answer. Every time I see this episode I always think that I've imagined things in the past and that he doesn't look at Pam right away, or for as long as I think he does. But then it happens and it's just.... perfect. The way he looks at her should be enough to let her know right there how he feels, especially compared with how Roy treats her.

I think we have A LOT to thank Mrs. Halpert for. Not only did she pass on excellent genetic material, she also seems to have raised the perfect man. We could devote a whole thread to this.

*sigh* Talking about season two Jim makes me remember how much I love him, and it gets me so excited about what an awesome BF he is gonna be to pam next season. Remember in Boys and Girls when all the guys are in the warehouse talking about how annoying girls are for always wanting them to talk to them and take them out on dates? Jim is the only one there who looks uncomfortable. You can tell he really respects women and knows how to treat a girl. I can't wait for season 4! Jim and Pam really deserve each other!

I really do agree with that fact that Jim has changed this season and it is mostly becasue he changed his attitude and supressed certian parts of his personality. That really turned me off to him. At the end of the season I was watching more for Pam then Jim. I just hope, and know that S4 Jim is going to find his way back to himself!!

All season long Jim knew he never came back, but what he really needed was just someone to tell him that they wanted him back! Jim actually was wanted, and that has to just make him smile!! ( hence the smile in the interview)

Jim can comeback, he is wanted back, and Pam even wishes Jim would come back.. I mean with all of that how could he not

I just love that scene. I love that he looks at Pam and that he says moms. It works on two levels. One, he's trying to be funny and impress Pam. Two, he's possibly thinking about Pam as the mother of his children?

Oh, and I'm going to add another level. I think he's thinking of all of us moms on the boards and how hot we all are!

It's the dawning of the age of Aquarius!

Being on the East coast and an early riser, I missed all lf last night's fun on the thread.

When I saw the amateur pics of John and Rashida in NYC a few months ago, I was of the mind that it couldn't be for the show. I thought this because John looked like John and not Jim. Hair, clothes, everything. It is funny how I've always separated the two. Last year when they won the Emmy, the pictures on the red carpet were of John and Jenna, not Jim and Pam. When I see John on another show like on Conan, it's most definitely John. I almost have trouble picturing Jim which is a testament to JKras' acting abilities. I'm taking a long time to say that NY Jim had almost evolved past Jim to almost not be Jim. This was very clever in some respects because they took advantage of John's RL haircut to cause us to almost completely lose sight of old Jim. I think this might be why some of you were saying S3 Jim was maybe a tad out of Pam's league. At the end, as much as I loved the end, it felt a little like JKras asking Pam out. I kind of wish they'd messed up his hair.

I do have a fervent hope that they give us our Jim back, though. As handsome as JKras is, it's Jim I love in the not so fancy clothes with a touch of disheveled thrown in.

Here's a little side note. My hubby was eating some cereal last night while watching tv and spilled the sugar on the floor just as this commercial came on with Alyssa Milano (his teenage crush) talking about Veet hair removal and she was lounging all over this couch waving her legs in the air, so I asked him if he was having trouble concentrating because of AM, and he's says "I can concentrate a lot better with her on tv than you can when Jim is on TV." Oops! He's figured it out!

OK, only got part of this quote... But yes, moms of boys named BEN are definitely hot! Only 6 weeks to go until Boy #3 is due- and he really might end up being James! Don't tell my hubby where I got the name... he thinks it's because my dad is named James! (OK, that's a good reason too...) Anyhoo, any man who says moms are hot is tops in my book!


You've got a good point there, Jazzman. Guess all of us moms tend to get a little carried away and forget about the hubbies. But yes, Mr. Halpert is definitely amazing as well- what a good example he set for his boy! James is a great name!! It's my dad's and my oldest's middle name. Although my hubby is a Jim, he is not a James, he's Jimmy on his BC.

That being said, boy Mr. Halpert sure taught his son how to respect women. I am sure Mrs. Halpert is the Queen of the household and Mr. Halpert and Jim both still open doors for her.

I like to sit here and think about JAM being real and the way I remind myself it isn't is by thinking of the actors in real life. I don't really have a problem with people commenting on real life -- heck, that's why there's so many tabloids in the grocery store check-out aisle! I aim to please obsessed, swooning, adoring Jim flans!

I was a tom-boy as a kid and as the only girl after 5 boys my distaste for dresses drove my mom crazy! But now I like to dress up a little more with heels and stuff. Sometimes whenever I feel the overwhelmed by cars, superheroes, and gas noises, I have my 14 yr old niece come over and we bake or sometimes go shopping. And I have now turned her into an Office fan so we'll be discussing JAM a lot more now.

My hubby was the same. My oldest picked our #3's name, Joshua, but for the life of us we couldn't come up with a middle name, the first 2 had our dads names as middle names, so we debated in the delivery room for about half an hour (after the birth) before deciding, and because it was 5 am before we decided, my hubby went and told everyone our son's name with the wrong middle name, he was so exhausted! We basically went with the only name we actually agreed on.

Season 4 is going to be awesome!! I can't wait to see all those itty bitty Jam moments. They had so much chemistry in s1 and 2 when they had to supress their feelings. Imagine how wonderful it's gonna be when they know they are going to be shacking up later that evening? There is going to be so much electricity between them. Can't Wait!

And, I love the idea of Mrs. Halpert and the future Mrs. Halpert getting along so well. I have a feeling she has heard a lot about Pam from Jim even b4 the date. She is going to be excited to finaly meet her.

oh oh oh!!! Imagine Jim taking Pam home to meet his family this Thanksgiving. She would be so nervous and jim would gently kiss her forhead and say "Don't worry they're gonna love you." Okay, so the writers would never give us that episode, but it's good to dream.

To answer you question OR07, I think that jim will propose in the last five minutes of the season 5 finale. Any other estimates? Should we start a pool? LOL. There is sooooooo much to look forward to! Next we can start naming their children.
