I have my laptop and nothing to do all this holiday weekend! So I feel the need to write a fanfic! I am going to write one where it is just small parts of the day between Jim and Pam, just cute light fluff. But I also want to get my hands dirty. So any sugesstions? I can try them meeting the family or whatever! I just want to make it orginal!!

I need help bouncing ideas around and this thread is the best place to do it! I think I am going to start writting tonight! I am going to type up some things we might see in S4 and such!

Hi PH. I am so excited that you are going to be writing a fic. Jam fic is like my oxygen now and I am always excited to get my hands on some more.

I have had a few ideas inside my head for a while, but since I'll probably never get around to writing anything I'll offer them to you.

1.) I would love to see a fic about how Jim and Pam are spending this summer. There is a lot of first date fic out there, but nothing past that. I wanna know everything that's going on. Second dates, 11th dates... basicaly all those "firsts" that we are gonna miss. I sent in this as a challenge to mtt, but I don't know if they have posted it under the challenges yet.

2.) I have always had this idea of a fic based on the movie The Family Man with Nick Cage. In this story Jim chose to take the job at corporate and move to NY with Karen at the end of TJ. He lives a high powered, corporate, big city life with her (unhappy of course). Until one morning, ten years later, he wakes up married to Pam ( minivans, screeming babies and all). He is faced to see what could have been, and falls in love all over again.

3.) I love the meeting the family idea as well. I love future fluff, and there is just not enough of it out there.

Hope this helps. Please somebody put these ideas on paper, so I can get them out of my head and move on with my life.

1) This one I am hving the hardest time with at the moment, but I think I want to do small snipits of life at DM during the summer. Just little things maybe with a few cute and big things stuck in there.

2) Now that actually sounds like tons of fun!!! I am going to have to think about this one, and it would be a huge task to take on... but that suggestion got my creative juices flowing and that is the best kind of suggestion there is!! Yeah guys, any thoughts on this one! It sounds fun!!!

3) This is the kind of fluff that keeps on going! I would love to do parents, proposal, wedding, babies, and all that is inbetween!! I think I will start slow on this though and only do parents first!! smile.gif

this is going to be fun! During school my notebook was covered with Fanfic, now I can get me a whole new book to start my ideas in!! I am so excited!! And once I tackle JAM maybe I can do other people!! smile.gif

OMG, that is one of my favorite movies! So so cute! Tea Leoni is adorable in that movie. That would make a good fan fic.

Yes! Moms of Bens unite!

I knew he secretly loved us.

I would say that it would be great if Jim and Pam one day made a Ben Halpert, but Ross had a Ben of the F-word show, so I doubt it.

But doesn't Benjamin James Halpert sound nice?
poorman'sMichaelScott
I dated a Benjamin James. I still like that name. Shh, don't tell hubby. wink.gif

Pam, I see that you have your new sig up. I'll go change mine.

How I have missed you!!

I love that sig! I watched all those videos and JK is just to darn cute!! LOL

I was thinking of a new place to put in my location

and I liked "out on a date with Jim"

" on top of jims desk"
"sitting on jims desk"
"Kissing Jim"
" In Jim's bed"

and then I realized that this might become true LOL, I got very happy!! I still need to make a choice.. I am so bad at making decisions!

I want to change spoiler magnet to "Jim Halpert's Date" LOL

wub.gif

In Jim's bed?

I bet the future Mrs. Halpert is going to be there tonight in imaginary tv land. It has been over a week since their first date.

SQUEEEEE!!!!!

I didn't mean to take a mini-break from the board, it just happened! sad.gif Between the last week of school and all the parties, plus hubby going to Costa Rica, hmmmm...I've just been really busy. And now I'm getting off, cause I have to go throw myself an early birthday party. Wish y'all were here! sad.gif biggrin.gif

Confession. I just got back from Blockbuster. I rented The Family Man with the sole purpose of superimposing Jim and Pam's faces on the two main characters. This is what the summer is doing to me, and it's only been a week!!!!
Pam_Halpert_1
you have an early b-day party??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Early wishes, you know just in case!

This week has been quite busy for me as well.. I guess when it rains it pours huh? lots of us had hard weeks

All this fanfic talk got me thinking of ways we could keep ourselves entertained. I know we already have a never-ending story thread, but what if we did something in here but on a Jam theme? Kind of like a build-your-own fanfic, and we'd know it'd be safe from being messed with because really only Jam-fans post in here. The next person could add a sentence or line of dialogue, and the body of the text would be copied and pasted with each post so eventually we'd have one sweet little fanfic written by all of us!

(If this idea is totally lame you can tell me and not hurt my feelings...promise!)

^^^I'd give it a shot although I rarely read fanfic and never write it!

Just as she reached the elevator doors, she heard him.

"Pam!"

She turned around and he was still wearing his suit and he looked so tall and even with his new haircut he looked so...Jim.

He came towards her.

He cleared his throat and said, "So, we're still good for 7?"

"Yah, 7 is great."

"Ok, this is really embarrasing, but I don't really know where you live."

"Well, why don't you walk me to my car and I'll give you directions."

They both stepped into the elevator and they both stared at the ground. But, as the elevator doors closed, Jim and Pam lifted their head and locked eyes.

This was going to be an interesting night.

She pulled up to her apartment so quickly she felt the tires scrape against the curb, and with shaking hands she unlocked her front door.
It had been so long since she felt that familiar flip in her stomach. Everything with Roy had become familiar so quickly, and for the first time in years she was overwhelmed with the possibilities ahead of her.

The water was beating down on his face and he was smiling.

A date. A date with Pam. This was really happening.

The events of the past week were swirling around in his head. The beach, New York, Karen, a yogurt lid, Pam...Pam.

As he washed the product out of his hair, he couldn't picture his life without her and he had a feeling that tonight was going to change his life forever.

Confession. I just got back from Blockbuster. I rented The Family Man with the sole purpose of superimposing Jim and Pam's faces on the two main characters. This is what the summer is doing to me, and it's only been a week!!!!

HAHA, I almost did the same thing, but, alas, I had to clean house b/c I'm having company tomorrow. dry.gif

I love the fanfic started on here! I will have to add in a little!

I am on a roll.. I am almost on chapter 3.. I just have to figure out how many kids Pam and Jim are going to have. I am bias and want them to have a boy and a girl. smile.gif

The boys name will be..... yep you guessed it!!

Pam still couldn't catch her breath after Jim closed the door to the conference room. She was frozen in her seat and couldn't begin to process what had just happened.

"Jim just asked me out" her brain was screaming!! She spent a few more minutes composing herself and smiling up the camera, and then finally sprinted to her desk, shut down her computer, grabbed her purse and headed out the door to prepare for her DATE WITH JIM!!!!!!

Jim was exhausted, but his mind was racing. As he drove home to get ready for Pam, he thought about the events of the day and couldn't believe the twist of fate that brought him to this moment.

Just this morning, he and Karen were in their hotel room getting ready for their respective interviews. He was nervous about meeting with David Wallace, but for some reason, he also felt at peace. Maybe it was because he knew if he didn't get the job, he'd just go back to Scranton. Pam.

In the back of his mind, he knew if Karen got the job instead of him, he wasn't going to move to New York. He wasn't ready to make that commitment. He also knew if he got the job, he wasn't ready to move to New York with Karen. "****," he thought. The events at the beach last week were really starting to have an impact on him. He was very confused, but he couldn't let himself think about it. He was not going to go down that road again.

When he saw Pam's note, all his confusion went out the window. That and Wallace talking about his ten-year plan. The rest of the afternoon was a blur. Meeting Karen at Bryant Park, finally being honest with her and doing what he should have done a long time ago. Yes, she was angry and hurt, but he knew in the long run he did the right thing and that sooner, rather than later she would understand and accept it.

And now here he was, going home to get ready for her. It was like a dream and Jim couldn't believe that it was actually true. He was going home to get ready for his date with Pam!

The water was beating down on his face and he was smiling.

Pam stood in her room looking perplexed. There were shirts, skirts and pants strewn all over her bed. She had no idea what to wear.

She wanted to be herself, but she also wanted to make an effort and look her best.

This is Jim
, she thought to herself. He didn't care if she was fancy...or did he? It suddenly dawned on her that she wasn't sure what Jim thought anymore. It had been so long since they even had a real conversation. The last time they really talked happened on a cold February night...

Hey.

Hey!

When are we going to get to see some of those famous Beesly dance moves?

I’m pacing myself
.

C’mon. Get out there! Give the people what they want!

Oh, I’m such a dorky dancer.

I know. It’s very cute.

She shook her head. She should have told him how she felt right there and then, but she couldn't. She was afraid. So afraid to tell people how she felt and and so afraid to tell Jim...No! She couldn't think of the old Pam right now.

I walked through coals. I told Jim the truth, she thought to herself.

She grabbed a top and a pair of capris and started to get dressed. There was no turning back now.

Jim had not been so nervous since, when? Oh yeah, since Casino Night when he laid it all on the line, twice. Now here he was face to face with the door to Pam's apartment. He needed a minute to compose himself, wipe the sweat off his hands which was seeping into the stems of the flowers he gingerly held, and do a quick check of his back-to-normal Jim hair in the tiny little mirror right above Pam's doorbell. He did a few deep breaths and rang the bell. "Just a sec" her sweet, soothing voice called out from behind the barrier. A few minutes passed and the door was opened. The vision on the other side, literally took his breath away. "Pam," he said, his voice choked with emotion "Oh my God, you look incredible." Flowers still in hand, a single tear running down his cheek, he gathered the beautiful woman standing before him in his arms and held her until the feeling in his knees came back. He wasn't sure who stopped hugging first, it didn't matter, did it? This wasn't the mildly lame hug they shared at the beach, this was a hug full of love, full of promise, full of a year's worth of unexpressed thoughts and feelings. He took in her smell. Though he didn't know the name of it, he would recognize her perfume in a nanosecond, it was burned into his olfactory glands, he would sometimes conjure it up in his mind before drifting off to sleep...OK he was back in the moment now. As their embrace ended, he stepped back a few paces, held her soft hands in his and drank in the sight of her, head to toe. "Wow Pam, I can't believe I am here, we are here. I can't believe this is happening." A little awkwardly he handed her the flowers.

Wow, they are really nice! thanks Jim! Now where are we going to I am starving, she said playfuly. Oh Jim said, just blow my flowers off huh? I see how it is, well in that case you get to eat at Buger King. Pam stuck her tounge out at him. Oh how Jim had missed that. He really had missed her friendship as well, it was almost of if he could feel his heart warming from the inside everytime he saw a twinkle in her eye. Yeah he thought to himself, I made the right decision.

He lead her to his car and she started laughing. What, Beesly? Oh it is nothing, I just. Beesly what? Well I have never really truly seen the inside of your car and it just looks so corporate. Jim gave her one raised eyebrow. We are going out to eat dinner and all you can think about is my car? Well Jim I have my prioites, she gave him a wink. Oh god Jim thought, this girl is going to be the death of me. Thanks for scaring me like that Beesly.
Pam looked over at Jim and suddenly relized that while she might be Fancy and New, Jim was still not all the way back yet, he was going to need some help. and Pam new just the right person to do that!
