I started an "office marathon" with my mom tonight. We got through season 1 and the first 4 eps of season 2. She 'loved' the Dundies, especially Jim and Pam. I definitely think she is becoming a JAM fan. On Sexual Harassment when Pam's mom says, "which one is Jim?" she said, 'did he hear that?'. Also on Office Olympics when Angela calls Pam out about Pampong she growled, 'ohhh'

And we're just getting started. It's so fun watching 'for the first time' with someone new.

That sounds like fun!

You have a pretty cool mom if you can convert her to Office Flandom.

Sometimes I feel like I should sit down everyone I know and make them watch S1 through 3 just so they can live a fulfilled life.

But then other times I like that The Office is like my hidden gem that no one knows about.

Here's a web article about Greg Daniels that I found on my Canadian news page this morning. Funnily enough, the entertainment section on this page is called JAM. I get excited every time I see it thinking that it will be about Jim and Pam.

We didn't play many video games in Scranton. Instead, we'd do stuff like uh, Pam and I would sometimes hum the same high-pitched note, and try to get Dwight to make an appointment with an ear doctor. And uh, Pam called it Pretendinitis.

We're playing in teams?

I'm having fun in here all by myself!!!

Bees, I fell asleep last night on the couch while determined to watch Casino Night...and I didn't make it in here last night...but I am glad to see that you were in here having fun all by yourself!!!

I love how the whole cute grenede Jim-Karen scene was really a foreshadow for their relationship.

It's all going to blow up in your face, Karen.

Pam would have loved how cute I was there.

Buh bye Karen!!

Just smile for me and let the day begin
You are the sunshine that lights my heat within
I'm sure that you're an angel in disguise
Come take my hand and together we will rise
On the wings of love
Up and above the clouds
The only way to fly
Is on the wings of love
On the wings of love
Only the two of us
Together flying high
Flying high
Upon the wings of love

Oh, Pam, you're so adorable!

I totally had missed that part with Pam singing in the original airing. So much more to love about Pam!! Isn't she warm and funny!! I'm so glad Jim and Pam are FINALLY together!! Fun, fun, fun!

Oh, I bet they are doing that right now!!! They are all dressed up like on CN and they are re-enacting how things could have gone down on that night.

Yikes, I should really shun these thoughts from my mind. These people aren't real. Right?

What do you mean they're not real? Please say it ain't so!! Because if they aren't real, what does that mean about Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy?

That's exciting!

I'm trying to convert a few people at work, but I can not talk crazy talk to them like I do here.

I went to see Knocked Up on the weekend with at friend and the License to Wed trailer came on. I don't think my friend quite gets the JK love. She asked, "What do you see in him, I just don't get it". Well, that just set me off on a JK love in. I told her it's partly because of who he plays on The Office and because he seems like a smart, cool guy. She retorted with, "He kind of has a big nose" and I let her know that yes, he does and that I love it and I love those eyes and that hair and that I could listen to that voice all day long.

*sigh*

I feel like I'm 13 again.

John K is like so totally hot. He's, like, groovy to the max.

(okay, that totally shows my age)

Groovy to the max!! That is totally awesome!! rolling.gif

^^^ I tried to explain my JKras crush to a friend this weekend too. She doesn't get it. Thankfully my 19 yr old niece is on board with it. Kind of odd (creepy?) sharing a crush with a 19 yr old though.

At some point, age ceases to be an issue...at least that's what I'm telling myself. See, JK is bringing families together one neice and Aunt at a time! Yet another reason to love JK!!! laugh.gif

Ok, I am totally obsessed now that I've said that.

That is so awesome that you mentioned that because I brought that up to my husband awhile ago and he shot me down...he doesn't notice anything *sexy* about the way he says duh-white! Yeah, I am glad I am not alone in my obsession with the way he says duh-white!

I think it's just the way he talks. It's the natural inflection of his speech. Kind of like his incredibly sexy bedroom voice when he says to Pam: "You have no idea how long I wanted to do that." wub.gif

Or when he said, "Once." Or "who doesn't love that" or I even liked it in Casino Night when they were looking at the band videos when he says, "Your Mom would love that. She would." Ahh...his voice!!

His voice. His hair. His eyes. His nose. His teeth. His smile. His feet. His chest hair. His leg hair.

I am taking my kids to the pool...time to jump in and cool off!! blush.gif

Oh, and I know what you mean about how horrible it would be without these MBs. It would be a long, hot JAMless summer without them. I like to combine my working out with The Office. I watch it while I work out! That's the reason ipods were invented, right?

I just read this new and funny fanfic. Check it out:

I called in sick to work on my report cards and here I am on the MB's. I'm just taking a little break from commenting on the level of proficiency in which my students throw beanbags in Phys. Ed. class. I love my job!

Oh, and sed? I believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, so Jim and Pam must be real.

Ok, I'm going to get back to work now, but I want to reward myself in a few hours with a Jammy Office ep. Which one do you think I should watch? I'm thinking maybe The Client or The Dundies.

Suggestions anyone?

Great article. It's so cool that GD knows how dedicated us flans are despite not having the higher ratings. It amazes me that there are so many dumb TV shows out there that get more press and higher ratings than The Office, which is by far the most intelligent show on TV right now. In a way it's kind of cool that the show is somewhat 'underground'. I feel like we are part of an elite club in some way. We don't want just any ole riff-raff swooning over Jim, now do we?? wink.gif

Count me in as part of the riff-raff section! Don't underestimate the peanut gallery, even us "busiest beavers" (bushiest, phyllis???) find time to occasionally lurk on these MBs

... and, when it comes to discussing Jim and his, ahem, protuberances, I'm definitely on top of it!!! Er, I mean, I'm all over it... Ummmmmm, I mean, oh never mind. Y'all know what I mean...

OK, that's a tough choice, Bees. When I am faced with a challenging dilemma such as yours (ie: whether to eat ice cream or brownies) I simply try my best to combine the two. laugh.gif

So my suggestion is that you watch both because when you factor out the commercials, it's really only a 20 minute episode...so then the two are 40 minutes, which is really like only watching one supersized episode of The Office. Like my logic? Go for both!!! You deserve the reward!!

Maybe you should show your friends that pic of Jenna. That could change their thinking!

Of course John and Jenna are beautiful people, but for me, the appeal is also that they seem like cool, down-to-earth folks.

With John's pride for Dunkin' Donuts and being on The Office and Jenna's love of Target, they just seem so non-Hollywood.

Ok, a few observations on my Office lunch hour viewing of "The Dundies" and "The Client":
  • I recommend everyone watches the Dundies kiss in reverse. I, of course, wanted to rewind that first JAM kiss and when I saw it in reverse, it was just lovely
  • I love how Pam hugs everyone outside of Chili's, actually I just LOVE PAM!!!
  • I never noticed this: At the beginning of The Client Pam talks about Michael's jeans being the reason for casual Fridays. If you look, Pam and Jim are dressed casually. I think Pam is wearing the same shirt she wore to Jim's party and Jim is wearing a brown collared shirt with a white t-shirt underneath. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
  • Also, love Jim's smile when Pam says, "I don't remember the last time someone made me dinner"
Ok, back to work.

I don't know how you people who work at home do it! I'd be watching TO all day long!

That pic of Jenna is so hot! In the show, with her sweaters, you really don't see just how tiny she is, but that picture shows it all, I mean says it all, because there are just a couple of things it doesn't show. wink wink

Kiss in reverse? What a brilliant idea, I will have to try it. I never noticed Pam and Jim dressed casually! Another excuse to rewatch that great episode!! What gets me every single time about The Dundies is when Pam says to Jim "can I ask you something" and he practically flies to her side in a split second, it is pure beauty to behold.

[*]I never noticed this: At the beginning of The Client Pam talks about Michael's jeans being the reason for casual Fridays. If you look, Pam and Jim are dressed casually. I think Pam is wearing the same shirt she wore to Jim's party and Jim is wearing a brown collared shirt with a white t-shirt underneath. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
I don't know how you people who work at home do it! I'd be watching TO all day long!

Every time I watch the Client I think about how we need a whole episode with a casual friday so we can see Jim in jeans!!! drool.gif

Believe me Bees, there are many days I get nothing accomplished except a little laundry folded while I watch! That's why I was so pleased with myself for thinking of moving the portable DVD/TV to the kitchen. Although if I actually had to concentrate on a task such as report cards, I couldn't do that!!

That's cool, and I have a brother who just happens to work for Dunkin' Donuts, so I have an obvious conversation starter when I happen to run into JK on the streets!! laugh.gif Then I can lure him back to my place with promises of free donut coupons and such!! sly.gif

When John was on Conan last year he talked about missing Dunkin's Donuts when he got to LA. Talked about getting some of the guys from Mass together to open a shop in LA.

It has been a challenge. This board, videos and fanfic are only a click away. But I just need to remember that I am home today to get them done, so there's no fooling around (just little mini breaks here and there).

It's funny how I can stay up late and type away on the boards, but I can't stay up late and type reports. Whenever I try I make so many spelling mistakes and what I'm typing doesn't make any sense. I want to make sure I have fresh eyes when I'm writing about my little Grade One treasures!

You guys usually get my tired, JAM crazed eyes.

Oh well, back to work!

^^^Yes. I feel your pain. I work at home on a flexible schedule which leaves me plenty of time to play on the MB with y'all. In a way I am more productive, because my work primarily consists of computer work, so I am at my computer more than not. Otherwise, I might be tempted to do other things and not be near my work. So win-win-win! biggrin.gif

If I didn't have a job and a husband and kids and a life, I might stalk him.

You've had a lucky escape, Rainn!

Oh, and by the way, if anyone is into fanfic and hasn't checked out this story, you must give it a read:

It is absolutely amazing and it gets updated a lot.

WTF? I checked here last night and Bees was "all by herself" (I felt for you Bees, I really did)but -- then I had to go to bed. And I was gone all day today, and I come home to 5 pages of sexy Jim (and Pam) talk? I'm never going to bed again.

I'm sure you could convert him.

What we'll do is I'll wave a Tim Horton's Donut (this is a huge donut chain in Canada, in case you didn't know) at him, you can wave a Krispy Kreme and who wants to wave the Dunkin' Donut?

Then we'll see who he comes to.

But, that "Hot Donuts Now" sign will be pretty tempting.

I just felt like screaming TWSS as I was reading that whole post. I don't know why ... huh.gif

Tempting is right. I have been known to stop at the krispy kreme at 3 am.

Not to get all Micheal on everyone, but have you seen the Chris Rock bit about Krispy Kreme -- they're so good that if it came out that they had crack in them, you'd say - I knew it was something! These are too good.

I effin LOVE K Kreme. (The only we have here is in a bad part of town about 40 minutes away, but I still go at least once a month. And I have a mom and pop donut store up the street from my house - they're good, but its no K Kreme.)

We have a Krispy Kreme about 40 minutes from us, too. But there is a Tim Horton's on every corner here in Burlington.

Unfortunately I don't partake in the deliciousness of donuts any more. I've lost 40 pounds this year and it was due in part to kicking my donut-a-day habit.

Oh, I do miss their deliciousity!

Honestly, Donuts just don't do it for me. When I first finished college and was working in an office, I totally OD'ed on them and since then, the thought of donuts just makes me sick! I don't want to start with the Krispy Kremes. No point since I'm not really tempted! HOWEVER.....(see below)

Welcome! We are honoured that your first post is in our little sharing circle.

I certainly don't want to wish away the summer, but I do miss ma JAM. Right now I am so busy with work and real life that it hasn't affected me. I am also surrounding myself in fanfic and coming here all the time.

So feel free to revel in the SUMMER OF JAM right here. We will keep the groovy feeling going.

That fear is lurking in the back of all of our minds, isn't it.

I started watching TO last August, so I only had a few weeks to wait for the S3 premiere and I was not as hard core into JAM as I am now.

I am just going to believe that they are together and frollicking in the summer sun.

I'll bet they are paying another visit to Lake Scranton and Jim will get to see what that cute polka dot bikini looks like.

Oh, and I'll leave you ladies (or maybe some men) with these words:
