Ok, I've heard of the Sims, but I have no idea what it's about.

Please share!

Never heard of it. But you know what they say...when you've hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up! laugh.gif

So here's the rub: The Sims 2 is a computer game where you can create people (Sims), build houses and buildings for them, and live out their lives. It's basically a "dollhouse" concept.

I built a Dunder-Mifflin today with my game when my Internet was down. I also made Pam, Jim, and Karen.

That sounds like fun!

Put Karen in the annex with Kelly and Ryan.

laugh.gif That's awesome snogging! You need to talk to Sharpie, she did the same thing also. It's a good thing I don't have Sims. That sounds like way too much fun, and I know I would disappear from my real life completely.

Heh, great minds think alike, guys. I saw the photo and had to go over to the fanfic thread to pimp "Distance Learning" by Moxie, especially since she posted a new chapter on MTT today.

Well not adopting exactly. The more fun way.

Editing (maybe you are right - I do see the phone) Maybe it's because she's still in College and they aren't married yet and she is thinking of adopting.

Um, you know there is a "Patch" available to turn off the blurriness when your sims are naked - not that I've used it.

They just look like Ken and Barbie though - I mean I've read they just look like Ken and Barbie.

Ok, first of all...

I have my own personal copy of Mean magazine!!!!!

It is soooooo fine. Thank you so much EverybodyHurts for sending it my way. The pictures are just amazing in print and I just love it!!!!

Second of all, I have to admit, I have never read Distance Learning. I know, shocking. I am going to be checking it out tonight. Donuts to dollars I'm going to be up late reading the whole thing.

Finally, I had to go into Office Depot with my daughter today and I she asked if Jim was in there. God bless her. I of course replied "I wish!"

So, that's my Office update for today.

Oh Lucky You! I am still looking for a copy. Can't find it at B&N or Borders around me. That is hilarious about your daughter. I was in Staples several times earlier this week and kept thinking of Dwight, LOL

Distance Learning is wonderful, my fav chapter keeps changing. Just posted over on the fan fic thread about all the great fan fic slowly ruining my life as I was up till almost 3am last night reading & reading. I need to stop and just patiently wait for September or nothing productive is going to get done this summer at my house.

I was up til almost 3 am last night re-reading DL. I had read the first 20 chapters or so, but had forgotten most of it, and was really pleased with it the second time around. It is really great.

I need to quit reading so many at one time. I keep getting the story lines confused, and then I have to go back and read them all over again. (Not that that is a problem wink.gif ) I have not yet read Charcoal and Watercolors yet. I don't know if I can get into it or not. I have a problem with completely AU stuff.

imthaqueen,

I have one copy of Mean left if you want it. PM me your address and I'll send it along.

Distance Learning is SO Good. Remember, Moxie wrote it, so, can't go wrong there.

And is it me, or is anyone else getting tired of seeing Steve Carell putting shaving cream up his nose???

I also always think of Dwight when I go into Staples. I also feel guilty because I want to buy my printer paper from DM! Or preferably have it personally delivered in a Saab by the Scranton ARM.

Ahhh!!!!! Me too! I just started reading Distance Learning, but I've had Shame Is the Same As Guilt on the my mind lately. Good fics on their own, bad that's a bad pair to confuse with each other. I was reading Distance Learning and it got to the part where Jim and Pam are in the tickle-fight in bed and she's screaming, and my first thought was "Oh no! The nice neighbor who saved her life that night she got raped is going to bust in on them!" blink.gif

I'm getting all the story lines confused too! I can never remember which ones I've read, or which chapters I've finished when I see the titles. I guess I should keep a "Fan-fic Log" by our computer and check off the chapters as I finish them. Then my husband would really think I've gone off the deep end! wacko.gif

I'm not sure where the drawing part came from...but I really liked that being incorporated into the video! I haven't seen anything like that before. I watched it again this morning and just love to watch Jim's face in slow motion on the Dundies kiss...as it dawns on him that Pam is kissing him...ahhh! So cute!

It's very quiet on here this morning...I am the only one here and on the whole board. Like Beeswax the other night, I don't want to be all by myself! But unlike Bees, I am not having as much fun! I guess I'll go get the kids up and around for breakfast! Have a great day all!

That video is by our very own Rocker Creed. He has a thread about it and explains how he did the drawing. Yes he did it, cool.

Once again, EH, you are a gentlewoman and a scholar. I may have to get a drool cover for that mag. It is sooo yummy!

Oh, and I LOVE Distance Learning. I'm only on Chapter 6, but I'm so excited to see what will happen.

*squeeee*

And yes, I am a little tired of seeing Steve and his shaving cream. It makes my nose itch just looking at it.

Yeah for Beeswax! I'm glad you got your copy of Mean...I still can't locate one...but it's probably for the best...I would get dehydrated from all the drooling!

See above post about drool cover.

I'm not sure where the drawing part came from...but I really liked that being incorporated into the video! I haven't seen anything like that before. I watched it again this morning and just love to watch Jim's face in slow motion on the Dundies kiss...as it dawns on him that Pam is kissing him...ahhh! So cute!

That is a great video. That Dundies kiss should get a Dundie for best Dundies kiss.

RL has gotten in the way of me being around here. Hopefully I'll be around a little more tonight. I'm still writing report cards, but I'll need a break here and there!

I posted this pic on the JK thread, but I thought this would be a nice one to discuss in Therapy.

One word, two syllables: bicep.

I'm sure it will be a rolicking romp.

Honestly, though, how can any of us resist an entire movie with JK in it? I could watch him sit and read the newspaper for 2 hours and be very entertained.

It's not him. It's Mandy Moore and Robin Williams *cringe*. I think he will be adorable in it, but unfortunately, it's the lowest common denominator (his co-stars) that I fear will bring him down. I am looking forward to Leatherheads b/c I think JK will shine in it.

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer!

But you are right, I could watch him fold laundry and I'd drool! drool.gif

Welcome to the boards jamcrazy.

Distance Learning is a story on the More Than That site. There are literally hundreds maybe thousands of fabulous pieces of fiction written by talented, creative fans of the Office. Most prolific are the JAM themed stories.

Here's a link to Distance Learning by time4moxie. Yoiu won't go wrong starting with this one and moving on to the rest of her stories.

Just finished watching Diwali and I loved it! I had seen it before, but I didn't like it as much then. Couple things:

1. Andy to Jim: "Are you kidding me, Tuna?????!?!?!?"

(this was after they sang Closer to Fine--which was adorable BTW!)

I'm so glad they made Ed Helms a regular.

2. Drunk Jim--of course!

3. Pam was so sad during this epi. She was missing Jim baaaad. It was hard to watch, but now knowing that there is an imminent date, it's not so heartbreaking. She loooooves him sooooo much! wub.gif

4. Boooo Karen!

5. Pam looked so good, it was a shame that Jim didn't get to see her. sad.gif

Next week Office Marathon on Thurs. nite. YAY!

Yay! Office marathon!

It seems like it will also be a big promo for Steve' movie, but hey, I'll take it.

I sooooo love Jim and Andy together. They are closer to fine.

Oh, and sweaty Jim and his lame basket bike. LOVE it.

One of my fave lines, though, is from Michael: "These aren't my shoes"

There is seriously not a bad episode of this show.

^^^Oh yah! Sweaty Jim! (Sweaty, steamy, sexy Jim--makes me think of all the fan fic I've been reading blush.gif ) Nice picture Bees.

Yes, there was much to love about that epi. But hold on to your hats--next week Casino Night! I know we can watch it any time we want on DVD, but there is something about when it airs on TV that makes it so "official". Oh--and the week after, get this marathon: Office Olympics, Booze Cruise and The Secret. Those episodes all together just scream JAM to me!! All they would need to do is wrap them up and put The Job as a bow on top!

"seriously not a bad episode?" laugh.gif

I love Diwali. I dont even hate Karen in this episode. (And NO they did not go back to Karen's place and do it, no matter what *certain* fanfics say!)

My heart sinks in this episode .... for Michael. His swift intake of breath and line "you've got to be kidding me" when Carol asks to talk in private, are soooo heartbreaking. I know he's a total bo0b, but I still hurt for him.

Don't forget this is the first place we get to see Pam's dorky dancing!!! And just how "very cute" it is.

"Closer to Fine" and "Tuna, are you kidding me?!" have got to be in my top five moments of Season 3. I LOOOOOOOVE Andy -- and Ed Helms. But, of course, I love the way Jim runs his lovely fingers over his eyes and face. *swoons*
