"seriously not a bad episode?" laugh.gif

I love Diwali. I dont even hate Karen in this episode. (And NO they did not go back to Karen's place and do it, no matter what *certain* fanfics say!)

My heart sinks in this episode .... for Michael. His swift intake of breath and line "you've got to be kidding me" when Carol asks to talk in private, are soooo heartbreaking. I know he's a total bo0b, but I still hurt for him.

Don't forget this is the first place we get to see Pam's dorky dancing!!! And just how "very cute" it is.

"Closer to Fine" and "Tuna, are you kidding me?!" have got to be in my top five moments of Season 3. I LOOOOOOOVE Andy -- and Ed Helms. But, of course, I love the way Jim runs his lovely fingers over his eyes and face. *swoons*

Yes, I felt for Michael too. He just can't help himself and when he makes a total a$$ of himself you feel bad because he really does have a big heart when all is said and done.

Wait--was the line "Tuna, are you kidding me???!!!" or "Are you kidding me, Tuna???!!!"--Not that it really matters, but I can't remember for sure and I just LOVE that line. It is a classic Andy moment!

*EDIT* Oh and Jim running his fingers over his eyes and face--anything that man does is a-may-zing! *Swooning with you HCT!*

FACT: Jim was too drunk to do it with Karen.
This episode yields a lovely shot of Jim in all his lanky glory passed out on "that desk."

OMG he's so cute. ITA he did NOT do it with Karen that night! They weren't even a couple at that point. Even as drunk as he was, he would NOT have been too drunk to do it with PAM! tongue.gif (on THAT desk, at home, in the back of his car or anywhere else! wink.gif )

Don't you just want to put a blanket over him and give him a cuddle?

Ooooo...I'm saying a lot of things.

btw, I'm on Ch 13 of Distance Learning and the goofy grin is still on my face. Moxie is just brilliant.

Diwali was definitely a sad episode for Michael and Pam. That scene on the stairs was very touching...until Michael tried to kiss Pam.

I too found Michael's "These aren't my shoes" hilarious.

And I loved Jim and Andy singing...Andy and the Tuna...good times.

Oh yayy...I loved Diwali tonight! I remember the first time I watched it I was so sad for Pam, but now its not so bad wink.gif !! Oh and Jim trying to ride his bike and falling into the bushes....how cute! I just printed out chapter one of distance learning and I am very excited to start reading! I hope my kids dont feel too neglected!

That is my most-favorite Andy line. I don't know what it is about it, but you're right, it's just perfect. wub.gif

I'm really enjoying all this Diwali-love! I guess because it didn't have any Jam I wasn't expecting it. Anyways, I don't think it's one of the funniest of season 3, but it is one of my favorites. There's just something so sweet and heartfelt in Michael's proposal, Pam's dancing, and then her waiting for Jim to answer her. I just love that in the chaos that surrounds them, both Jim and Pam can only think to turn to each other as the one other person who would truly appreciate it. First Jim in The Convention, and then Pam here. And when she tells Michael "I'm rejecting your kiss" I lose it. laugh.gif Such a great episode. (Makes me wonder how long it'll take her to tell Jim now that Michael tried to kiss her. Or that she's agreed to have his baby in 30 years. laugh.gif )

And awesome news about the marathon! I didn't even know we had that to look forward to!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm surprised how easy this summer has been so far. I know we've only just started, but I expected it to be a lot more painful. I think it's been the awesome fanfic and videos. Where would I be without time4moxie and her beautiful stories??? happy.gif

Once again, EH, you are a gentlewoman and a scholar. I may have to get a drool cover for that mag. It is sooo yummy!

Oh, and I LOVE Distance Learning. I'm only on Chapter 6, but I'm so excited to see what will happen.

*squeeee*

And yes, I am a little tired of seeing Steve and his shaving cream. It makes my nose itch just looking at it.

See above post about drool cover.

That is a great video. That Dundies kiss should get a Dundie for best Dundies kiss.

RL has gotten in the way of me being around here. Hopefully I'll be around a little more tonight. I'm still writing report cards, but I'll need a break here and there!

I posted this pic on the JK thread, but I thought this would be a nice one to discuss in Therapy.

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting but I have been reading this thread for a while and it is one of my favorites! Especially all the pics of John wub.gif ! I was just wondering if someone could tell me what "Distance Learning" is? It sounds like something I would be interested in reading! I am a huge fan of The Office and especially of JAM! I am having major withdrawels and have been watching my season 2 dvds like crazy!!

Welcome to the thread, jamcrazy! It's nice to have you on board! I hope you are as crazy about JAM here as the rest of us. This is a happy safe haven for all things JAM, Jim, Pam, John and Jenna, and The Office in general...let the craziness begin!

Just finished watching Diwali and I loved it! I had seen it before, but I didn't like it as much then. Couple things:

1. Andy to Jim: "Are you kidding me, Tuna?????!?!?!?"

(this was after they sang Closer to Fine--which was adorable BTW!)

I'm so glad they made Ed Helms a regular.

2. Drunk Jim--of course!

3. Pam was so sad during this epi. She was missing Jim baaaad. It was hard to watch, but now knowing that there is an imminent date, it's not so heartbreaking. She loooooves him sooooo much! wub.gif

4. Boooo Karen!

5. Pam looked so good, it was a shame that Jim didn't get to see her. sad.gif

Next week Office Marathon on Thurs. nite. YAY!

There was a lot to love about this episode! I especially loved the part where Jim says, "Holy Mother of God" when he took that first shot of Jaeger...is there anything that boy does that doesn't make us swoon? Just the tone of his voice...ahhh! I also loved the, "and now I know it makes me sweaty for work" drool.gif

QUOTE (OfficeObsessed @ Jun 14 2007, 09:35 PM) *
^^^Oh yah! Sweaty Jim! (Sweaty, steamy, sexy Jim--makes me think of all the fan fic I've been reading blush.gif ) Nice picture Bees.

Yes, there was much to love about that epi. But hold on to your hats--next week Casino Night! I know we can watch it any time we want on DVD, but there is something about when it airs on TV that makes it so "official". Oh--and the week after, get this marathon: Office Olympics, Booze Cruise and The Secret. Those episodes all together just scream JAM to me!! All they would need to do is wrap them up and put The Job as a bow on top!

All those episodes at once...it's like a Christmas miracle!

I know they don't go back to Karen's place...but part of me wonders if she somehow intercepted Pam's text message. I would like to think if Jim actually got it, he would have contacted Pam back. And since Karen was the only one sober by the end of the night...but I don't know WHY at that point she would have even thought to erase a message from Pam...I just want some explanation about what happened to that text message and I don't want it to be that Jim just ignored it. What did the message say? Pam had said to Michael that she had hoped something would happen too...so did she text him that she loved him or missed him? Or did she say call me? Sorry if i've missed earlier speculation on this...

I find that I am having a much easier time appreciating these Season 3 episodes now that Season 3 is over with. There were a lot of funny things...Angela's "monkey brains" comment, Jim riding his bike to work and being all sweaty, Michael telling Ryan nice dress...It's nice to watch without the JAM angst clouding my vision. Now would I have said that had they not ended S3 the way they did...probably not!

Yes, the summer is going along unexpectantly fast...you guys, fanfic, Youtube and repeats are getting me through! Thanks!!!

Unfortunately I don't have real high hopes for LtW either. Robin Williams' character seems more over-the-top than usual, and I guess I'm just used to JK playing Jim Halpert, and not someone else. Although in one scene from the preview, JK is down one one knee in front of Mandy Moore and he says in that delicious bedroom voice, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" (or something along those lines). I just pretended he was saying that to Pam instead! wub.gif (swoons...faints).

This picture is great. I spent the morning finishing Distance Learning, grinning all the while. Then I watched Dundies and have to say...

Pam is Amazing!!!
She is Michael's Mother Hen. And Jim, well, he's Pam's Mother Hen, treating her so carefully. And the Dirty Dancing Song with their TH and where she falls...hehehe, and of course opening her car door.
And when they walk out of Chilis & she does her whooo, he wraps his arms all the way around her. Awesome.

I looked all through "People's Sexiest Singles" issue today and couldn't find JK. And it wasn't from a lack of looking. I am not sure if the 6 people behind me in line waiting to check out cared but someone earlier said that he was in it and I wasn't about to pay for a magazine that didn't have JK as the sexiest single man in the world, nay, universe.

Anyone else find it?

We're going to the beach for a few days (which is a good thing), but I'll be in serious withdrawal without reading fanfic or seeing what's happening on the boards (which is a bad thing)! It's probably best that I'm quitting cold turkey and won't have any internet access. However, I am going to take my Mean Magazine with me under the guise of reading "stimulating and informative articles". This has been talked about over on the fanfic page. I have been reading it like crazy the past couple of days and it is wonderful. She is writing a new one on S3 right now, so this one could last quite a long while this summer.

It's on p.126...but don't blink or you'll miss it. sad.gif The page is titled "Smarthrobs" and there are 20 sexy singles on the page (with avatar-sized pictures) and the college they attended. BJ and Ed Helms are there too. The dude next to Ed (don't know him) attended Cornell! wink.gif

I love it! The articles are great and the pics throughout are beautiful. There's a great article on Giovanni Ribisi. Another fave of mine.

It's the best kind of crazy there is. Count me in!

I checked my local Borders today (and I live in a hip, cool, urban area!!) and they don't carry it. Never heard of it either. mad.gif I'm not sure it would be a good idea to bring it in my house anyway. I'd feel like I was sneaking in a Playboy or something. I definitely could not let Hubby know I had it. I'd have to hide it between the mattresses! laugh.gif

My hubby totally knows about mine. He just shakes his head. The fact that I got the magazine through a trade-off of fanfic with EverybodyHurts just makes him shake his head more. I keep mine in the protective bubblewrap that EH sent it in. It's sad but true.

He was also shaking his head at me the other night when I was reading Distance Learning and he said, "Aren't you supposed to be working on report cards?" and I replied, "But Jim and Pam are in Paris!"

He's going to get whiplash with that much shaking.

I thought I had read all of Distance Learning, but I never got to a part where they were in Paris...what link is that?

Thu, 07 June 2007 at 2:50 pm [cue Jim fanboy/girl swoony squeals]

The Office’s loveable John Krasinski drops to his boxers and shows off his sex-on-a-stick legs as groom-to-be Ben Murphy in the latest set of stills for upcoming summer flick License to Wed, out July 4th. TWoP, staring climbing him like a tree.

Hmmmm...sex on a stick...fabulous!

I was just at the gym and was watching Heath Care on my ipod. Good times. I also happened to look up at one of the tvs there and a LtW promo was on. It was fate that I looked up at that moment. Magic magic magic.

Again, I don't care if that movie is John reading the phone book, I am excited to see it!

Went to see a movie last night and got all giggly because my cup had JKras printed on it (Licesnse to Wed poster). I was really giggly every time I took a sip. My husband and I always share, and he was not finding our coke quite as thrilling as I was. Hmmm...

Sex on a stick - that just sounds uncomfortable.

Oooooo! I hope they have cups like that at our theatres.

One word, two syllables: bicep.

I think the only unappealing thing about this movie is that creepy doll he's holding. It looks like a pint-size mob boss! Yeesh....

Jim would love that!

What a beautiful lady.

I was thinking about Jenna today and wondering if she's getting better. It would be great to see her out at the LtW premiere (whenever that is).

Seeing pictures like this make me notice alot more how plain they make her look on the show - very pretty but kind of plain - but it's just interesting how different she can look.

If there are any fathers on this thread today:

Happy Father's Day!

and since today is June 17th and Jim asked Pam out on a date on May 17, we have a little JAM celebrating to do today.

Happy 1 Month Anniversary Jim and Pam!!!

While many of you are celebrating your dad today, take some time on here to celebrate our international JAM holiday and state why Jim and Pam are perfect for each other. My thoughts about their perfectness can best be expressed in the Thursday, March 24th episode of The Office entitled "The Pilot":

Jim: If I left, what would I do with all this useless information in my head? You know? Tonnage price of manila folders? Um, Pam's favorite flavor of yogurt? Which is mixed berry.

Pam: Jim said mixed berries? Oh wow, he's on to me. Um…(laughs)

^^^Couple things:

First, I was avoiding fan fic for the longest time and now like you all, I am completely hooked! Arrggghhh! I am going to print some off and read it today while my kids are playing at the pool. (Hat and dark glasses again just in case someone I know catches me!)

Second, I have so many thoughts about JAM's perfectness Beeswax, I don't know how I can put it into one sentence or paragraph. They consume my thoughts on a daily basis--especially now that I have all that glorious fan fic dancing around in my head. But one statement that comes to mind is in The Alliance when Jim says "...She's so great" before he even realizes what he just said and then he gets all self conscious about it. He is apesh!t about her from the very beginning. *tingle*

Third, Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! May you all raise "Jims" and send them out in the world to find their "Pams" and vise versa!
