I think we have to remember that Jim just got out of a relationship with Karen, which sort of makes the first date a bit more awkward than it already would have been. I think they will go very, very slow which might only mean a peck on the cheek after the first date. It almost seems inappropriate for Jim to be with one girl one night and to be with someonew new the next night. Yes, it is Jim and Pam, but they don't strike me as two people who are going to rush into anything. Maybe dinner and conversation, but that is honestly the most I see coming from the first date.

Even though we know and they know they love each other I think it will be a few months before either vocalizes it again because neither want it to backfire like it did the first time. Obviously the circumstances are different, but I'm guessing both want everything to go right.

There is also the Karen factor and how they will effect them at work. Assuming Karen is at work the next day (Friday) then things could be a bit awkward. The writers will either skip time, so we don't see Karen or show the next day with Karen. This is all probably hinged upon whether Rashida Jones is available or not. I actually think we will see Karen no matter what, but it is questionable as to the context either inside the office or outside. I would have thought she'd stay in New York, but she needs to pick stuff up in the office and I'm guessing she left stuff at Jim's place.

IMHO, they can't say it soon enough. I think Pam's been dying to say it all season. She has to tell him that she loved him on Casino Night so that he knows he wasn't "misinterpreting" their friendship. I don't want to open up a can of worms, but I really hope it came up on their first date. I hope that they were able to get everything out in the open so they can embark on their new relationship with a clean slate. (I know I'm talking again like they are real people and that this date really happened! )

I agree...I think Pam will want to tell Jim once they have their first minute alone...at least just to clear the air. She alluded to it at Beach Games...but I think that was just out of respect for Karen. She now knows Jim and Karen are kaput, so I don't see what will stand in her way. It's not like that bit of information is going to cause her to lose Jim!!

By the way, one of the best moments of S3 is happening tonight...the phone conversation...it is just such an endearing conversation until Dwight and Ryan had to ruin it!!

Oh yeah, and Jim and Pam aren't real people? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN? Why am I always the last to know??

I just hope they start things out being totally honest w/ each other, spending lots of time together & taking things slow. I do NOT think they need to be sleeping together quickly. As someone else said, Jim just ended a 6-month relationship & just realized he has a chance w/ Pam after burying those feelings for a year. They're basically starting at the beginning, but it's going to be awkward b/c of everything that's happened unless they are honest w/ each other. Jim is going to have to take a leap of faith by giving his heart to Pam again, and Pam is going to have to be patient & give him time.

Bees suggested we not watch S3, starting in August, so when the DVD comes out it will be like watching S3 all over again with virgin eyes! (It's like 2nd drink).

When I find myself not thinking "enough" about Jim and Pam, I go on youtube re-watch the last scene in Casino Night or the first scene in GWH to get my train of thought back. I am always trying to think of scenarios in which they finally get together and are happy. (BTW, I love JAM fanfic for that reason. I wish I could write some! Maybe that would help quench my addiction!)

I have been trying to be kind of S3 free already. I got my british version DVDs back from my friend, so i am watching those once a week to get my fix on -- and of course, I have popped in a S2 episode every now and again. However, my husband turned on The Job last night while i was on the computer reading some fanfic. I have to be honest, I had my eye on the tube occasionally of course.

I am almost as excited for the DVD release as I am the premiere -- good thing, too, since they are nearly a MONTH apart! Ugh.

When is the S4 premiere? If it is a month after the S3 DVD release, then that means early October?!?

OT says September 27 with a ??? after it so.... Im not sure. Tansters usually right about that stuff though.

I just wanted everyone to know that Season 3 comes out on MY birthday! Its like my own personal birthday present from JIM! I am soo excited. I nearly peed my pants when I found that out!

I just watched the Initiation. Even knowing how S3 ended, I wanted to cry for Jim and Pam when they ended their phone conversation. I found the writing and acting so subtle yet so moving and real for their situation.

OO, we must have been posting at the same time...and basically that's what I was saying...it would take our mind off things!

Anyways, I just watched The Initiation also...WOW! I forgot just how powerful that conversation was and the way it ended...wah!! I can't wait for S4 when Pam can look at Jims's old desk and see Jim's face!! That will make up for all the time she wished she could see him or for the times when she wanted to make eye contact with him but had to stare at the back of his head. Although, I must say, I would take staring at the back of his head over not getting to see him at all!! S4 is going to be awesome...mark my words!!

^^^I know, that phone convo was killer. I just wanted one of them to jump through the phone and kiss the heck out of the other one. It was so painful when each one thought the other wanted to hang up when really, they both could have kept talking all night. I would have loved it if Jim called Pam back on his cell phone and drove to Scranton talking to her the whole way until he showed up on her doorstep.

I've been super busy and out of town a fair bit so not much time for the MB. I tried to get on to check things out everyday but either early am or later at night and usually only for a few minutes here and there. I can't believe how much I miss it. We had a long weekend here (Canada Day - July 1st) and I was at the cottage with no internet. I left earlier than usual because I was getting desperate for some OFFICE chat.

Can't wait to see LtW (starts in Canada tomorrow). I don't care if the movie isn't so great I'm going and maybe by myself.

So a cottage...is it like a little house in the woods? It sounds so quaint and like a nice way to get away from it all!! I wish I had a cottage to go to! I need to find a place for us to go away for a few days...it's just been rainy and gloomy (from the inside) and hot and muggy (from the outside). Not quite vacation weather here in Texas!!

I hear JK got good reviews and that's all I need to know about the movie in order to go see it!! I think I am going this weekend with the hubby. And if not, then I will go when the girls are at their mother's day out program when I'm supposed to be working! Since it's only a four hour deal...then I can play for two hours and work for two hours, right? I can't wait to see that much of JK at one time!!! I hear it's worth it!!
