I am cured of my little JAM panic... it comes and goes normaly about this time when I notice that a new office episode is today! thanks!
Hey, maybe one of the safety training scenarios tomorrow could be: What to do when you are trapped in a supply closet.
Jim and Pam can be volunteers.
Karen can help with safety issues in the warehouse, i.e., what to do if the door to the warehouse is locked and you are trapped for many hours.

I am not worthy! How could I not post in a JAM Therapy thread when my avatar signature is JAM Therapist! I was admittedly depressed last night after writing for the JP. It took me a little longer to find the silver lining!
Anyway, this thread made me smile all night!

I agree. They are giving us little appeteasers along the way and then we'll get a main course soon (hopefully with a little JAMmy dessert).
I hope we get another tasty morsel that we will spend another year talking about. I'm still in shock that we are still discussing Casino Night. It happened almost a year ago and we can't let it go. Now that's good TV!

On a side note, I totally got caught at work looking at that John K picture on IESB.net. Oh, yeah, that was hot. I may love delving inside Jim's head, but I love looking at JK on the outside too! I may have converted a co-worker into an office fan with that picture.

I just have to say... This thread is awesome and very much needed after last weeks episode (and the 17 episodes before that one (with the possible exception of The Return)). It's hard sometimes in these Jamless times to remember what I'm fighting for but... "This helps a little"...(Pam).
Anyway, I wanted to share the lyrics to a song that reminds me of Jam. It plays on the Muzak loop at the store where I work, and everytime I hear it (about 5 times a day) I think of Casino Night. Its a really up-beat song so it never ceases to give me hope.
Life Less Ordinary
by Carbon Leaf
album: Indian Summer (2004)
Live a life less ordinary
Live a life extraordinary with me
Live a life less sedentary
Live a life evolutionary with me
Well, I hate to be a bother but
It's you and there's no other, I do believe
You can call me naīve, but
I know me very well at least
As far as I can tell and I know what I need
That night you came into my life
Well it took the bones of me,
You took the bones of me
You blew away my storm and strife
And shook the bones of me
You shook the bones of me
By the way I do know why you stayed away
I will keep tongue tied next time
Live a life less ordinary
Live a life extraordinary with me
My face had said too much
Before our hands could even touch
To greet a hello
So much for going slow
Well, a little later on that year
I told you that I loved you, dear
What do you know -
This you weren't prepared to hear
I'm a saddened man, I'm a broken boy
I'm a toddler with a complex toy
I'm falling apart since the ambush on your heart
That night you came into my life
Well it took the bones of me,
You took the bones of me
You blew away my storm and strife
And shook the bones of me
You shook the bones of me
By the way I do know why you stayed away
I will keep tongue tied but
Honey understand
Honey understand
I won't make demands
Honey understand
Honey understand
We could walk without a plan
Honey understand, honey
Honey understand
I won't rest in stone all alone
Honey understand
Honey understand
I'm all ready to go
But you already know
Live a life less ordinary
Live a life extraordinary with me
If I could name you in this song
Would it make you smile and sing along
This is the goal-- to get into your soul
If I could make you dance with joy
Could that be the second chance to coy
The 'bird in hand' I would need to help you understand
That night you came into my life
Well it took the bones of me,
You took the bones of me
You blew away my storm and strife
And shook the bones of me
You shook the bones of me
By the way
I do know why you stayed away
I will keep tongue tied next time

Love it!
Here's a song for today (or should I say, tonight). This song goes out to Jim and Pam, because Jim and Pam gave me us this thread. And, I feel Jim and Pam in this thread tonight. WOOOOOOO!
Tonight's the Night-Rod Stewart
Stay away from my window
Stay away from my back door too
Disconnect the telephone line
Relax baby and draw that blind
Kick off your shoes and sit right down
Loosen off that pretty French gown
Let me pour you a good long drink
Ooh baby don't you hesitate cause
Tonights the night
It's gonna be alright
Cause I love you girl
Ain't nobody gonna stop us now
C'mon angel my hearts on fire
Don't deny your man's desire
You'd be a fool to stop this tide
Spread your wings and let me come inside
Tonights the night
It's gonna be alright
Cause I love you girl
Ain't nobody gonna stop us now
Don't say a word my vir9in child
Just let your inhibitions run wild
The secret is about to unfold
Upstairs before the night's too old
Tonights the night
It's gonna be alright
Cause I love you woman
Ain't nobody gonna stop us now (I know, it's not going to really happen tonight, but this is the JAM therapy thread and we should all be visualizing positive outcomes)

Hey guys,
A quick thought came to me. After the grief bone punch of "The Merger", we had a good Jam episode in "The Convict" where Jim started his "reconnection" with Pam via the prank with Andy. Do you think Pam might reciprocate now that Andy's back with an indirect prank against Jim? After all, as has been stated, Pam knows Jim better than anyone!

A lot has happened since Andy tried to woo Pam. I dunno, I'd would be nice, but definitely too early for Pam to start pulling pranks on Jim. There would have to had been some sort of conversation between the two, before they start oullin pranks again. Even if it was against eachother.

I concur. Things are just waaaaay too heavy right now. The mood needs to be a lot lighter before any hijinks can occur.

Someone suggested somewhere that they might prank individually without the other knowing about it, intersect somewhere and boom it's a neutral conversation. Andy just begs to be pranked.

Isn't It A Pity by George HarrisonIsn't it a pity
Isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other painHow we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Some things take so longBut how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Your eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Now, isn't it a pityIsn't it a pity, (oh-o)
Now, isn't is a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other painHow we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn't it a pity

I think that Pam and Roy will proably end up getting back together. I don't think we have seen the last of those two together. If last week was any indication, I think that Roy will still try and go for Pam and will probably and most likely get her back like Jim said.
Or I could be totally wrong and they go back to being just friends.

Gorgeous! I've been avoiding these threads lately because I've been kinda downtrodden by the direction the show has been going in. The writing has been supurb and I've laughed a ton, but it's missing its heart. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one still holding out for a happy ending. My expectations are "evolving", though. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad for our heroes to have some healing time after the inevitable departure of Karen. I don't need grand gestures or romantic overtures if I have the undeniable connection we saw all through season two. I want them to be ready for everything they will encounter without any regrets, so watching them rebuild would still be wonderful!

YAY, Beeswax, I agree! At first I was disappointed, but I think that's just b/c my expectations are ridiculously sky high. Love-love-love that they talked & were able to be close to each other, even if it was in a group setting. Someone said Michael's statements mirrored Pam & I think they might be on to something. Gotta go watch again - hooray for DVR!!!

They shared a sort of look when: *Spoiler* Michael ws saying that sex with Jan just wasn't the same anymore.. I Dunno, if they were just looking at eachother just to look it wouldn't have lasted that long. They look they gave lasted a second too long to mean nothing. *sigh* maybe i'm just desparate for JAM*.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Also. maybe it was just the camera view but they were standing pretty close to one another whne they were outside. *
Something I didn't like: How when they were doing the first bet at Pam's desk and Karen decided to say 50, and the guys complained but Pam was like "it's called being smart". FNB or not, I wouldn't say something like that to the girl who's dating the guy I'm in love with.*
PS. I can't figure out how to do the black bars.

I'm super excited too, PH!! And about Jim warming up to Pam so quickly. I think she got to him. I don't think the break room was forgotten, I think it helped. Ok, the black bar things look funny here, so if you haven't seen the ep yet and don't want to know what we're talking about, don't read on!!!
To me, this ep was huge. It's like the air was cleared last week. Jim had his little dig at Pam, she stepped up to the plate and apologized and they got out a bit of what they were feeling.
This week, it was soooo like Office Olympics. I'm thinking of the looks Jim and Pam gave each other in the "closing ceremonies" in Office Olympics. Now, if you can, pleeeease re-watch the discovery of the bouncy castle scene. Look at Jim's face. Shiny happy Jim. If you've been reading the PD or JP threads, we've talked about how Jim will catch Pam being her usual caring, adorable self. Pam trying to get Michael to come down by offering him a present? That's his old Pam. That's the Pam he fell in love with.
Also, tell me the past wasn't running through his head when Kev called him on knowing how many jellybeans were in Pam's dish because he spent "hours and hours for years" at reception. He looked a little embarassed, but there was a bit of warm fuzzy memories there.
This ep was a lot of fun and is a sign of good things to come. Did you notice that California sunshine in the parking lot? That's a sign of sunny times to come!

Yah, I guess getting married in tonight's ep would have been a little outside of the box, but, I like your thinking, Marissa!
I wanted them to hold hands when they were standing beside each other. Oh well.

Ya that part kicked off the show just how I wanted it. Someone forcing them to remember their past. Jim didn't seem too embaressed by it either. He just kind of took it. Maybe he was even a bit, sort of maybe, happy that someone mentioned them. Karen on the other hand looked awkward.

Click on the pictures to make them bigger. The last one on the second page....we need to see Jim and Pam do that again on the show!
New License to Wed PicsOk, JKras in a suit, in shorts, spying, with twins and kissing?
This movie will get us through the summer hiatus quite nicely!

Bees, you and I are all about the bounce house tonight! I love it! I soooo wanted them to jump. And so did Jim! Stupid Michael and his suicide attempts. I'm trying to be a good girl and follow OH's plea!

I know I should be blacking everything out, but it just feels like what I'm writing is dirty. Jim and Pam's love is beautiful and pure and should be black on a white background for all to see.
But, I'm sorry if I spoiled anyone

New License to Wed PicsOMG, I'm feeling all tingly after looking at that picture. It seriously should be illegal for one man to be that sexy. Stupid Mandy Moore!!!!
PS: I don't have the skills or the technology, but somebody needs to create a sig replacing Mandy Moore's face with Pam's on the "proposal" picture.

I'm with the rest of you who loved JAM tonight.
Yes, Jim was kind of sour last week, but I think that between The Negotiation and tonight, he silently accepted her apology. Hence why they were so S2 tonight.
Did anyone else notice that Karen was the third wheel the ENTIRE episode? This episode just emphasized why Jim and Pam work so well together and how Karen doesn't fit the equation. Through the betting, we saw the natural connection they have. They were the two who switched Creed's apple for a potato, they were the two who predicted Kelly's Netflix ramble, Jim was only off by one in guessing how many jelly beans were in Pam's jelly bean dispenser (and when Kevin brought up why, he really didn't look uncomfortable which surprised me), and they were the two who realized that Michael was going to jump off the roof and jointly decided to stop him.
And what did Karen do? She lost all the bets, she looked upset by Kevin's line about Jim spending hours and hours at reception, and she had a TH about how much she doesn't know the people in the office as well as she thought she did.
IMO, this was a golden episode for Jim and Pam. It looks like all signs are go for a season finale worthy enough to rival CN.

Here's to hoping.
