Thanks for doing that. (There I go again reading spoiler bars - I am so bad!) I think you could've only blacked out the 1st paragraph b/c the 2nd one was mostly speculation. As long as your speculation isn't based on spoilers, then you're good. At least that's my take on it.

I agree, I am just like you!!! it is very hard ( TWSS) You video makes me smile!! and that helps.. and I am going to make my myspace page have many JAM videos.. there is just so many to chose..

PAMHALPERT! How could you do that? I am AA spoiler free but not sure my willpower extends that far. I quit smoking. I gave up chocolate because it made my skin break out. I go to church.

What a dilemna. Do I look at the spoilers? Do I go to WaWa and start up my tobacco habit again? Or do I buy a 1 pound Hershey's bar? Go to confession?
I am weak. And to make matters worse it is turn off the TV week and I am such a hypocrite that I created a "one show loophole" so that I can watch The Office. But really, aside from the quivering mass of jelly that is my strength of character, I am a quite lovely person.

I agree with pbskl's take. Pam will do something explosivein Beach Day, and that will fuel the tension in the finale. (for example, maybe she won't confess her love to Jim, but to the camera or another employee, like Michael. Maybe Jim will find out and be conflicted the way Pam was conflicted in CN)

I don't however, see JAREN as a decaying couple. The writer's have to keep that relationship viable to create a dilemma for Jim. Alot of people have been reading too much (IMO) into the JAM interaction from Safety Training. I didn't get the impression that Jim and Pam were being cute and secretly in love the way they obviously are in other episodes. As I see it, in future episodes Jim and Pam might potentially still be uncomfortable with each other.

In fact, I was a bit let down that in ST they didn't address what went down between Jim and Pam in the Break Room scene from The Negotiation. Jim is hurt and he's lashing out at Pam, Pam kind of understands his anger and is sorry (for everything: getting back together w/ Roy, telling Roy about the kiss, and maybe even letting Jim move to Hartford) I feel like we still need to see them reconcile.

I have to agree with you as far as JAM interaction in ST goes... it's nice, but I watched some S2 again and ST is nowhere near as intimate. Still, there are definitely signs that the Jim and Karen relationship is crumbling... Jim clearly lacks full interest and Karen is obviously feeling a little put off. It may be early stages, but I feel like the writers have to be throwing that stuff in there for some future purpose. No one wants to see a show end with an imperfect couple when the perfect one is right there... it's definitely leading up to something.

I absolutely agree that the transition seemed a little... rushed, I guess. I think the only reason they couldn't is that once Pam and Jim start opening up and discussing stuff, it's going to lead right into THE talk that forces Jim to spend a few days collecting his thoughts and then choose. And they didn't want to unleash that this early in the season .

From what I read yesterday, Safety Training and the second to last episode are going to be JAM favored episodes. Let's just hope they become a couple sometime soon.

Safety Training??? Then you saw a different episode than the rest of us. Safety Training not only has no Jim/Pam in it, but may be the worst episode in the entire series to date.

I think that ST might also just be a filler-type episode. I think it could've gone almost anywhere in the season. Karen feeling like an outsider during the betting could've happened at any time I think.

ST is one of those episodes that we are only going to put into full context after the end of the season! There are little small plot lines hidden in there that we wont see until it is over.. but I do think that this was light hearted to give us a break before the last 4 heavy arc episodes.

Reading these posts the past week or so, I've seen us taking a horrible turn for the worst. This is my favorite thread because it's the place for optimism and happy thoughts! There's enough crap going on in the world! No wonder Jim and Pam can't get it together. If we don't believe in them, how can we expect them to pull through? You can't set up beer-pong at an AA meeting and you can't bring your pessimism to JAM Therapy. Glance at this thread from page one. We've got a lot to be happy about and a lot of memories to hold in our hearts. Maybe we'll have to be patient, but I am convinced it will be worth the wait!

We don't need to be negative!! My JAM hope and optimisim still shines as bright as the sun!! We all know Jim and Pam will get together!! It is only a matter of time!!

What always makes me feel better is that fact that Greg Daniels, BJ, and Jenna have all said in some form, that they listen to the fans, they listen to the network, and they listen to eachother... and in the end they all have decided that they are going to follow the characters where every they may lead! That meaning that they are not going to keep Jim and Pam apart for longer than they need to be, they are not afraid to put them together!!! They are not going to fall victim to either network for fan!!

This works in our favor! When they do put Jim and Pam together it will be right along with the characters, which means that we will get the benefit of feeling like nothing was rushed!! The main reason why I know the writers will not let us down with Jim and Pam is that thier main piroity is to the characters.. and many TV shows do not follow this mindset. We all know that once Jim adn Pam are single their characters are going to want to get together and so the show will let that happen!! They will make it like a real couple, which I love and will make JAM all that better when it happenes

JAM is like a stew sitting in your kitchen... you put everything into the pot and it cooks all day long, there are times when you want to eat it it smells so good, but you know it needs to simmer more and more. You hate waiting and the hunger feels so painful some times but you know if you let it cook at extra 10 min.. the stew will be that much better...And once you sit down to eat, it is the best stew you have ever had!!

So never worry it will happen... but our time frame might be skewed, but once we do have JAM it will be better than we ever could of imagine because the writers are just really good cooks!!! They don't let anyother cooks in thier kitchen and therefor it does not spoil the stew!!

I love that deleted scene in Office Olympics where they are SkeetSchruting and they both make it in Dwight's mug at the same time -- "That was a team effort, Pam!" The looks, the arms raises -- so sweet! I love it. Wish I had a mini vid of that one.

Oh my gosh, I know!! I can't remember which episode it is, but there's another adorable deleted scene when Pam yawns and you can see Jim has been looking at her so he yawns too! Adorable!

Man, I've been listening to a podcast that includes clips of the episodes where Pam gets back together with Roy, and I'm starting to think that Jim has a right to be really mad about how it all went down.
First, in a TH right after Phyllis' wedding he says "Pam is with Roy, I'm with Karen, and Brangelina is with Frangelina...movin' on!" He's really annoyed and I think he harbors some serious resentment about it that hasn't surfaced and maybe needs to.

Then, when Pam tells Roy about her kiss with Jim she actually says "Jim told me about his feelings and I had some feelings too..." The scene happened so fast that I didn't catch that she actually confessed out loud to having feelings for Jim. But it sucked to hear her say it in that context, like she was talking about it in the past tense in order to get back together with Roy.

Add to that the awkward and chilly interaction that Jim and Pam had in the break room in The Negotiation, and I think that the two of them need to do some serious reconciling. Not just about their feelings for each other, but also about how much they've really hurt each other (though maybe unintentionally.)

Ugh, not in a particularly JAM-my place right now. And I don't have high hopes that Thursday's episode will move their relationship forward very much....

You are absolutely right! ST will make sense in the grand scheme of things. Once we're all snuggled in on our couches with the brand new Season 3 DVD, ST will be a small sentence that's part of a much bigger story being told.
ST kind of reminds me of that scene of Darryl and the ipod in Back from Vacation. It made no sense, except that it was a brief diversion from the real action, and a light-hearted moment before the writers got down to the real business - Pam's broken heart. I think ST was a similar diversion and a brief break before we dive back into the heart of things.
I have absolute faith in the writers that it'll make sense in the end!

And where did all the optimism go? I was here two days ago and you people were bouncing off the MB walls! Let's bring the optimism back!

I know what you mean...my kids used to be on my background...then Matthew McCoughaney replaced them (but only on the screen, not in my heart) and now Jim Halpert occupies the space on my screen. Since I work from home, I see my kids all the time, whenever I want, so I put Jim there so I could have a little excitement in the middle of the afternoon!
