I just think that it's strange that everyone always asks if people would use their powers for good or evil. And that people always say that Sylar is evil, how could you become addicted to killing people even if it is for power. But the thing is he's not killing them completely for power (I mean to some degree he is) but rather he is killing them for the power that they have, the ability not the power. And I think that if a normal person were to gain a power and have the ability to have more power they would, eventualy, even kill just to have more power.

My answer is Yes, I think I would end up killing to have abother power. And I hope that some people agree with me.

I'd say no, its not right to kill someone for power. But like Peter, absorbing to get power is a better option, unlike Sylar.

I think everbody (including me) would love to say no, but you really can't be sure until you are in that situation. You just can't predict accurately.

I thought hard about it, and to obtain a power that would be so great like telepathy or flying by killing someone seems like a good deal at first and really fun. But I have strong morals and if I did decide to kill a person for my own personal gain it would most likely mess up my judgement on what is right and wrong. I know killing is wrong and would have to accept what I already have and live with it, even though I would become jealous and insecure about myself, so I say no. But I agree that noone can say anything for sure right now.

EDIT: Though if I had a choice to kill someone to obtain control over time and space, I would consider it, because that's like being master of the universe.

I can say, without a doubt in my mind, that I would not kill others simply to have more powers. I suspect those of you who would, are the same sorts who don't appreciate what you do have irl and your greedy lust could never be satisfied.

I voted yes, with the understanding it wouldn't kill just anyone for just any power. I would kill the bad guys and steal their goods. Maybe a bit dark of me but not totally bad..... kind of punisher bad, not sylar bad.

i dont think i could kill someone, even if i wanted to...i wouldnt have the guts to, power or no power.

Sylar had massive inferiority complex, he was sick of his life, and he wanted to be special. Chandra Suresh really tickled Sylar’s ego by giving him false hope (which turned out to be true), which initiated the sequence of Sylar’s killing spree.

Not everyone has that massive of an ego problem, and I don’t think I certainly would get into the killing spree. I could foresee breaking other laws though.

I don't think Sylar eats brains, he just picks through them to figure out how they work. He didn't have to eat Dr. Suresh's watch; he just had to listen to it and get close to figure out what was wrong with it.

I would like to say I wouldn't...but I don't know. Maybe there's something more then mental going on, I think it could possibly be rather drug-like. I probably would seek out evil heroes and take their power if I got addicted.

I wouldn't kill a thief, or someone who i just don't like. If i don't like someone i might give him a lesson with my powers, but kill someone if he's not deserving that, definitely not.

would kill because i don't like following the same rules of most of the so-called Heroes. For example: In DC Comics you have Batman and Superman. They never kill but if you analyze it further they're both responsible for the murders of those they don't kill, each time batman captures Joker he goes to jail and after a while he's free to terrorize good people and he has killed a lot of people when he goes free. Same goes with Superman. The same enemies come again and again, and in the ends the poor civilians without powers end paying the "moral standards" of Superman and Batman.

So i would definitely kill those who're really evil, and i will get their powers just to be more efficient with my task.


Doing a Parallel with Heroes, i would definitely kill Sylar, Ted Sprague (he has killed without remorse), and maybe Thompson.

I would not kill. No matter who it was (killer, Rapist, Theif, ect.) Because I don't know why they're doing that. So all of you who said yes but only bad guys are just trying to make yourselves feel better because you're disgusted that deep down you would kill for power and it is SICK! I would take the Heroic route I would be the Hero! And if the world were a place where some of had super powers well I guess everyone here knows who the BAD guys would be. NOW we all know what season 2 is going to be about yes it's power hungry fans v.s. the Heroes. hey i totally agree. every time i kill a bug i feel so sad because they had a life too. but like several people said, you never know until you are actually in the situation. i would love having all of the powers just because theyre fun to use. the owrst possible situation would be if someone very close to you had the ultimate power and the only way to obtain it would be to kill them.

For all you people who said yes, you do realize that killing is still against the law and that you'd probably end up with a bullet in the back of the head from some SWAT guy sniping you. Even if you had Claire's healing ability, they could fire a bullet that shatters into a thousand pieces in your brain and you'd end up like Peter when he had the glass shard in his head, except you'd never be able to get all of the bullet fragments out as easily.

Anyway, that's just something to think about while you're on your power-hungry killing sprees.

I can't imagine killing someone for such a trivial thing as gaining myself more power...and it disturbs me that many people say they would. I don't know if I could ever bring myself to kill someone I absolutely hate, though I might in the cases of murderers, rapists, and others who cause the death of innocents through their evil actions (treason, etc.)

Bugs, on the other hand, I have no qualms about. I'll go out of my way to kill them...

Or if I had super hearing and telekenisis, I could hear the bullet coming and stop it before it even reached me.

i would say no because id want to be a hero but if an evil super person came around i wouldnt hesitate to do it and take the power
