Jim and Bridget Jones???


Every once in a while the tabloids surprise us by zigging when we thought they would zag. Case in point: Renée Zellweger, 37, who we figured would spend most of her time on the North Carolina set of the football flick "Leatherheads" fending off rumors linking her to her leading man and director (not to mention rumored ex) George Clooney. But Star has gone a different route, instead touting the pucker-face-prone Oscar winner's alleged "affair" with her equally appealing -- albeit in a slightly more goofy way -- co-star, John Krasinski, 27, better known as Jim from "The Office." And while Renée, who has been flying solo since annulling her blink-and-you'll-miss-it marriage to Kenny Chesney in 2005, and John, who was last linked to his small-screen love interest Rashida Jones, were spied Saturday night laughing side-by-side from the second row of a sold-out performance by the always-hilarious David Sedaris (per the Charlotte Observer), Pam shouldn't go running back into the arms of Roy just yet. A rep for Krasinski tells E! News the hook-up talk is a bunch of hooey, insisting, "This story is not true. They are just co-stars and friends."

And I am dead serious about this. We watched Bridget JD2 the other night and I know she isn't supposed to be glamorous but she is UGLY! In real life!

Sorry guys, I think she's cute. Have you ever seen Empire Records? She's kind of ****y in that movie, but cute. It's awesome! I love it! It's like the Breakfast Club of the 90's. Seriously, go rent it if you haven't seen it.

Also, I liked her in Jerry Maguire and the first Bridget Jones movie.

And I DO consider her famous.

Now, having said that, I did like her in ONE movie, the boxing movie set in the 20's. I can not think of the name of the movie or the actor with her right now. Super Tired! But that one was ok. Otherwise, she looks like us...hence, how is she famous?

Can't anyone just be friends anymore? Is it so crazy that after making a movie together, that they would go see a show together? As friends?? Im not putting any stock in it yet.

I'm with Sharladawn. I think she's cute too and she was fantastic in Cold Mountain. And I loved Empire Records. I didn't know anyone else ever watched that movie!!

Furthermore, she was great as Bridget Jones's Diary (BJ:EoR sucked a lot, and she was made to look absolutely horrible, but I completely blame the director for that one. Sharon McGuire, who did the first one, was so much better. Okay, I better stop now, because I'm about to go on a rant about BJ:EoR. Seriously, that movie pi$$ed me off.)

But I also agree with fleece_it_out. So they went and saw a show together and were laughing. Last time I heard, John's a funny guy. So, why does this mean they are 'seeing' each other. The press just wants something to talk about. It's like high school, actually. Nah, scratch that. More like Jr. High.

I'm surprised there's more talk about Renee Zellweger, and not the bigger news: John Krasinski is now officially a celebrity. And off the market for all of us.

The only positive thing about them -supposedly- dating is that there will be plenty paparazzi pictures of them him in magazines, which will go on my wall.

Hmm... don't know, could be the Oscar she won. And the other awards. Guess they don't count. Can't base her entire career on one or two bad movies. Sheesh, George Clooney started out playing a maintenence guy or something on Facts Of Life.

Huh? So what that she looks like an ordinary person. Why should that stop someone from being famous?

Younger than me. So there's an age gap there between them. Shouldn't mean anything. Of course if the guy is ten years older than the woman its okay. My husband is 7 years younger than me. Nothing wrong with that.

I used to like Renee more than I do now, she seems to have gotten more full of herself or something. Liked her in Jerry Maguire, first BJD, Cold Mountain. Oh well, I doubt there's much to it. You're on location far from home so you go out with your co-workers, no big deal.

Oh, yeah, whether you like her or not, she's famous. John's hanging out with the A-list now. The guys seems to have a lot of friends that are females, so I wouldn't get too excited about them possibly dating until I see some lip-locking. And so what that she's 10 years older? Come on people catch up. I know it seems like a big difference when you're 16, but when you're older, it's not so important.

I really hope they're just friends b/c I haven't liked her since the 1st Bridget Jones. Ditto Fundle Bundle, she does look like she's sucking on a lemon. It's like she got anorexic & had a face lift after Jerry Macguire.

Besides, I just decided today that John needs to date my co-worker & somehow I am going to set them up. That will be my summer project.

Hmmm, yeah, George Clooney is SMOKIN'! My issue is this, she is an okay actress, Cinderella Man was very good but for Hollywood's standards she is just homely! I can barely stand to look at her as a leading lady. And I am sorry but winning an Oscar anymore doesn't mean ANYTHING! You almost hope your favorite person doesn't win because it brings them down to Hollywood level.

But anyhoo, like someone said, YEAH, John is famous and I am pretty sure it's because HE's HOT and super cool and a great comedic actor but mainly because he is hot!

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Renee dated her "Me, Myself and Irene" co-star Jim Carrey as well. Look how that turned out. In my ever lovin' John Krasinski heart, I will just believe that this "dating rumor" is totally false and that they are just friends.

Ok people. Let's not overreact. I saw her first in Jerry Maguire, and thought she had one of those boring voices. Hate her fake accents in the Bridget Jones moveis. I couldn't even sit through them, and they had Colin Firth in them, for goodness sakes! She was ok in Chicago, but I thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was magnificent (and I hate her because she's beautiful). Lost all respect for Renee when she did her Brittney Spears "I married a Man For 5 Minutes" routine with Kenny Chesney.

So, not to worry. She never lasts long with any of them.

My main concern is that she stays away from George Clooney.

On a personal note, I also puked in my mouth when I read this. I agree completely. I can't believe what he could possibly see in her. Maybe this is a ploy to advance his career, but even THAT seems far fetched to me.

Exactly. Actors are often seen together when they aren't linked by anything other than shared work. Besides, if you believe this thread, then you'll no doubt believe that Jenna Fischer and Will Farrell are stepping out, and that Steve Carell is exploring input/output devices with Harvey the Robot. Either that, or some verrrrrrrry strange things are happening on the Ark.

You know about her, don't you. Isn't that the definition of being famous, that people know who you are? Think about it.




Mixed I'm with you. When I was young I never thought I'd feel this way, but age doesn't really matter as long as you are both on the same level. I've dated guys that were 10 years older than me. No big deal.

And, I'm also not putting any money on them dating. Magazines have been saying Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are breaking up for about a year now, but they just keep adding to that exotic baby collection of theirs.

Well said, Jazzman! When actors are on location, they often "socialize" together. It doesn't mean they're dating! Let's face it... they are away from home, and it could get kind of boring when they are not working.

I don't blame Renee one bit... I'm sure it would be lots of fun to hang out with John!

Also, I'm not saying that I think they are, but if they ARE dating, shouldn't we be happy for John that he found someone to be with, regardless of who it is? If someone makes him happy, we should be happy for him.

I will be happy for him, as long as it's me that he is dating.

How right you are. John looks like an ordinary person as well. If he hadn't, they wouldn't have cast him on the office. Who wants to sit around and look at perfect people all the time? I love her for many reasons, but any woman in hollywood who would actually PUT ON weight for a role has my vote. And she is so sweet and down to earth. She is a great actress, she is kind, she is beautiful.....what else do you people want? I think they would be fabulous together. Not that they are together. We know how tabloids are.

By the way, lots of other actors and actresses look quite ordinary as well.

Absolutely ordinary looking. They decorate them up and airbrush their pictures, but if you saw them on an off day on the street, you wouldn't look twice.

i was just at the supermarket an in the most recent copy of STAR magazine(i'm assuming it's some sort of tabloid magazine?) there was a picture of our lovely John Krasinski and one of renee Zellweger and they also said that they were rumored to be dating. Eventhough i don't believe it's true, i think it's cool that we now get to see John in a bunch of magazines, this is the first time ever i
ve seen him on a front cover

so in the new star magazine out this week jim in on the front cover left side with a picture of renee zellweger and it says renee's office affair! inside it has pictures of jim with info on him and a picture of them on the set of his new movie. i hope this hasnt been posted yet

I don't know if I've been a JAREN fan, but I have liked Karen a lot since day one as well. (Although, she has said some things that have made me very angry . . . mainly that deleted scene)

that deleted scene did tick me off... So I guess I am a Karen Fan more than a Jaren fan... but still nothing that surpasses my undying love of JAM!!!!
