I really liked them at Ray's locker. Pratt and Morris really do care about him.
It also had some comedy to it which I liked.
And when that guy asked if he can have that locker and they got all defensive, I really liked it. lol

I wonder if Morris is going to wear Ray's shoes... or use his hair seaweed...

I loved that scene too, especially when they told the intern that Ray's locker was off limits. The part when they saw his shoes in the locker got to me.

Another great episode, although they way they built the show up on previews ended anti climatically. Where was the "possible career ending decision" plot? Was it not taking the bullet out at first? They definitely did not take this as far as they could have. Morris continues to make me laugh each week. He goes to Pratt's apartment, states he does not have an appetite and then practically eats everything prepared including that chocalate cake. It also looks like Sam is going to get into another relationship. Anyone have a weird feeling about this cop? He seems too nice.

I thought it was good and emotional after the hair joke they got all serious and sad realizeing, wow hes not going to be here?
Know what I mean.
Cop seems like a good guy to me, but er writers can be cruel, he could die on her for all we know =(
and the possible career ending was with Dubenko. Saying he lost the bullet, and then he ended up actually having it. That isn't allowed. Thats withdrawl of evidence
I personally thought this episode was really good and better than the premiere. But the scenes, I may cry next week if what I think happens, actually happens =[

I guess I'm in the minority here, I was bored to tears with this episode...it was right up there with NICU for me as among the worst...:::yawn::: I kept looking at my watch wondering how much longer it had to go before it was over.
I miss my Luka...at least we did get a mention...

It couldn't hold my interest, the only part I cared for was the part where Morris and Pratt cleaned out Ray's locker. The rest of it wasn't as good as past ER's episodes have been.

Goran is scheduled to appear in a limited number of episodes, the number has not been officially announced, it's a wait and see game as to when he'll first appear. As he's not officially a regular, that's why his name is no longer in the opening credits.

Pretty interesting episode tonight. I liked the scene with Morris and Pratt cleaning out Ray's locker. So sad!!

I'm glad they protected his locker against that weird intern Grady. Also loved the scene with Pratt, Morris, and Betina at the end. I think Pratt and Morris have a great friendship growing and I also sense the maturity growing in Pratt(as well did Betina).
The gunshot victim story was pretty predictable. I could tell that guy was guilty from the beginning based on how suspicious he and his wife were acting. I love Moretti's new strategies to fix up the ER; that God speaking over the microphone scene was classic. The only flaw that he has though is that he's a little too blunt and straight forward and it can come across a being cold, for example, the way he reacted when that kid was dying right in front of his mom.
The desperate attempt to change Gate's character is to transparent. I can see right through it and unfortunately I think that it hurts what looks like a very powerful and emotional storyline with the dying kid. Why does Stamos' best acting come with kids? Anyway, I loved the new Sam. Her new look is great. I liked the speed dating scenes with her, Chuny, Dawn, and Lichtman. Didn't see too much of Neela but I'm glad she's doing well. It will be interesting to see her babysitting Joe.

By the way, what's up with Morris crying in the promo for next week's episode?

G-Unit...re Morris...maybe something to do with Hope and her mission? Going to have to wait and see. I'm just speculating, I'm not a spoiler reader.
Cody at AEB picked up on an interesting tidbit...ETA: Anyone else notice that the actress who played the girlfriend of the injured criminal is Lisa Vidal's (Sandy) sister?

The scene with Pratt and Morris cleaning out Ray's locker was THE BEST part of this episode. When they saw his shoes, my mind went "Oh my!". Thankfully, the injection of a bit of humor kept it from being TOO depressing.
And, I agree. The "voice of God" over the intercom was seriously CLASSIC! LOL!
So......Pratt wants to head up the ER??? Could be interesting!

I didn't find the episode borin, but i was pretty upset over some personal issue when the show had just started so just the fact it took my mind off everything was the reason.
The locker imo best part too.
And yes G-unit, he likes her so much, but did you see Morris! I'm scared to see what has happened =[

Well can't see this epi yet – but certainly hope I can get clip of the locker scene soon (hopefully from a site I won’t name

)
I can just visualise the shoes, just sitting there in the locker……shoes he’ll never wear again….oh how sad

When I watched this episode, I sat back and enjoyed how good it was. When I analyzed it in my mind a little later, I realized how GREAT it was.
Abby is being bossed around, isn't she? Moretti is treating her like she has to do everything he says, and I'm surprised she's not fighting back. We know how much Abby pushes back against control like that. I also picked up on the way Dubenko sort of "bullied" her into his decision (not like they had a choice, but still). She's going to start feeling like nobody is listening to her.
Moretti was great, again, as usual. Loved him impersonating god (my, what subtones that has, considering he seems to consider himself the new "god" of the ER).
The bullet story was great, and I have to admit, I didn't see the end coming. Kudos to Dubenko for realizing that it could go either way. Did you see the EYES on that girl as the police were taking her away? I feel like she's going to come back for retribution. She looked murderous.
Neela's story was light and funny -- glad she's going to be at Abby's.
The kid and the pregnant teacher story didn't really do much for me -- it just felt like one of those "ripped from the headlines" moments... creepy.
The scene at Ray's locker was sad -- I hope we get to see Morris trying out the shoes or something.

I love how they "Retired" it right on the spot. That was great. Though, I felt like they didn't really mean to follow through on their plan to visit Ray.
Was anyone else chuckling as hard as me when that kid was talking about Gates' undernurtured
ego? All I could hear in my head was "McBeardscruffle McRoadkill Mc
Ego" a la Cranky.

Oh, and taking credit for the diagnosis when a CHILD told you what it was... yeah, you're real smart, Tony.
Now, the best scene of the night, in my opinion, was when Dr. Moretti took that mom up into Morris' face and had Morris tell her that it was over. I was just like, "ZOMG, Morris just grew up!" He was so serious I had tears in my eyes. Look at our boy, all grown up. The preview for next week really had me wondering just what is going to happen -- I can't wait for a good Morris episode. He's one of the best now, hands down.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Better than the season premiere which was brutal. The locker scene with Pratt and Morris was sweet. I thought they would be more emotional but... Next weeks episode looks great! Can't wait for that.

Hi All! Nice to be back on the board, after what sure seemed like a loooong summer break....anyhoo, I liked last night's eppy, but I wasn't head over heals over it, or anything.
Question though - what did Abby say to Neela about Luka? I heard her say something about "I think he is pretty happy" and then my hubby said "What? Luka's gone?" and I didn't hear the rest of what she said. I must admit, I don't have a good feeling about where they are going with this. I really, really HATE it when TPTB totally betray a character's past, just to fit in with what an actor needs (i.e. Goran is leaving the show....) Luka and Abby finally, finally got to a happy place, and just because he needed to be with his dad does NOT mean he would turn his back on his new family. Trying to make out that he would is just so not in character for Luka, and I think they don't give us fans enough credit on this score.
JMHO, but there you go. Does anyone else feel this way? Trifioso

Luka had received a phone call last season that his father was ill, he went back to Croatia to deal with whatever arrangements need to be made for his care, he's coming back for a number of episodes this season and his exit arc. Just because he is not seen on-screen doesn't mean they can't have he and Abby still together, it simply means they would just talk about him off-screen and he would be working opposite shifts, etc.
Trifioso
Oct 5 2007, 05:01 PM
I totally, totally agree! Why can't they just do something like that? To have him somehow be all excited to be back in Croatia, and to leave Abby and Joe behind? I can't see that ringing true with the back story they have created for Luka and Abby....Trifioso

He can be happy with being home and still miss Abby and Joe. He's been away from his father and brother, his friends, is culture and language for a long time, to suddenly be back among all that would be a homecoming for him. It doesn't mean he won't ever return to Abby and Joe, it just means he is doing what needs to be done and re-connecting with his heritage and old life at the same time.

I for one am not surprised that Neela has not talked about Ray yet. The little thing nearly lost her life and is just recovering from major surgery. I doubt that the first thing on her mind is to tell everyone about Ray. I think it's appropriate for her to go home and heal up first and then deal with what may come next. Besides, he didn't want her to tell anyone at County and I think she respects that. Neela and her reactions can be a very touchy subject when it comes to roomie fans; I noticed that after the season 13 finale. Some complained that she wasn't emotional enough or didn't say enough. I for one thought her reaction to the situation was quite on target but I also got the sense that anything short of her begging and pleading and letting out all her emotions would be unsatisfactory for some. If Neela doesn't mention anything about Ray in the next 2 episodes then I think we may have something to gripe about. However, at the end of the day we must remember that Neela has always been pretty much a private person and I think that most of her feelings about Ray will be kept to herself until their reunion.

hey aziz
i'm not sure, wether i'm allowed to follow that thread, cause this season hasnt started here yet, but hopefully you can help clearing that.
so what i like to know is, do pratt and morris actually know about what happend to ray, cause they cleaned his locker or did they do that in case to find out what has happend to him?

I don't know that anyone at the hospital except Neela and Katey know what happened to Ray, so unless one of them, or Ray's mother told the hospital, no one knows.

Editing this to add...after reading the post below...looks like I wasn't paying close enough attention to the scene afterall...seems they do know...my bad.

Was anyone else upset about the whole cleaning out Ray's locker scene? Don't get me wrong...I'm glad that they're still talking about him, but come on! I have a bone to pick with Pratt, he's on my "bad list." I mean, I like Mekhi Pfifer as an actor, but it is really hard for me to like Pratt's character, and I'm just really bitter with all of this because he's one of the reasons why Ray and Neela aren't together now.
First of all, last season Pratt was such a jerk to Ray...he gave him bad advice about getting together with Neela. He told him to wait longer for her and not bother her after Gallant's death, which Ray did, but Pratt talked him into waiting TOO long then she ended up hanging around with Gates. Ahh! First he helps him get drunk at the reception while he's sitting with Ray at the bar and says "Hey, get my buddy here another drink." And then Pratt is the one that made Ray leave Abby and Luka's wedding reception. Yeah, some "friend." Pratt knows how much Ray is in love with Neela, then he plays dumb and acts like a jerk saying "Ray, you're into a girl, just go home." What is his problem? "Just into a girl?" He along with everyone else in the ER knew that him and Neela had an attraction and strong friendship with each other, and he has the nerve so say that? Plus, Pratt should've at least called Ray a cab or drove him home or something, then Ray would've have had his accident.
So now when Pratt and Morris are cleaning out Ray's locker, Pratt's acting all buddy-buddy with Morris (since when? they were never friends!) and is acting like him and Ray were best friends and has the nerve to mention "oh maybe we can go down to Baton Rouge to visit him". Gee, don't do Ray any favors! The only person that Ray cares about at County General is Neela, he could give a crap what the others think. Last season, not one of them but Neela even wondered where he was and why he didn't come to work, not knowing about the accident. Neela is the only one that took the time to look for him, and as well she did, because no one else understands him like she does.
OK, about Morris...I love him, but he ticked me off in that scene when they were cleaning out Ray's locker, when he wanted to keep Ray's sneakers cause "he won't need them anymore". That was really tacky. Then I felt a little better when the new intern came in and wanted to take Ray's locker and Pratt and Morris said it was retired. THEN I was upset again when Morris threw the box of Ray's stuff under the front desk like nothing. I mean, how about give the box to Neela so she can have it? They didn't even say they were gonna mail it back to Ray.
Sorry, I just needed to vent to someone! I just hope that Ray comes back this season so he and Neela can finally be together and have a happy ending for once!!

Oct 11 2007, 09:46 AM
Well, in defense of Morris, he's *always* tacky.

I liked the whole locker scene... it was very touching for them to "retire" his locker -- that's never been done before, not for any of the docs. It makes me hopeful that we'll see Ray again.
As for Pratt -- well, he wasn't the best friend to Ray, but nobody's perfect. I can see that he certainly tried to help Ray out with Neela... but we know Pratt is no romance king... quite the contrary... but he tried to help in his own way. I don't blame Pratt for Ray's accident, but I do wish he had seen him home.

Modscho...
It's up to you if you want to read the advance threads. Some people have decided they don't want to know in advance of the episodes airing what they are about, that's why we keep the Roomie's thread spoiler free. If you notice on the episode threads, you'll see they have a warning on them saying they may contain spoilers, and that's so people know that those are not safe for them to view. I hope that clarifies things a little better.
