I saw there was a Jim thread for this and since I don't roll that way I've decided to start the Pam equivelent. You have to say what season you thought she looked the hottest in and what episode you think she looked the hottest.

For the season I'd say season 2 she was at her best. I like her a little more without lipstick.

For the episode, Casino Night without a doubt. That blue dress is freakin' sexy.

I think she really looks pretty in Drug Testing with the pink trenchcoat. Her makeup looks good in the scene where she brings Jim the coke.

Ok, so I don't necessarily roll this way either but I think Pam looked great in the Halloween episode. That kitty outfit was too cute! And her smile and air five to Jim from across the way is very endearing. Oh, wait this isnt the Pam is cute thread.

She looked best in "The Return". She looked good ice skating as well. The kitty costume was nice too.

I thought she looked hot in the season 2 Valentines day episode with that pink sweater. I think it showed off her figure more than her regular button up shirts. Yes, I am a woman, but I can appreciate another woman's hotness.

Don't worry about it. Everybody knows that it's only odd for guys to talk about how hot other guys are. Females can do this and no one is bothered by it.

BTW, she also looks good in Bennihana Christmas with the tight red sweater. But truthfully, she looks good even when she looks mousy.

I'm also a woman, but I think she looked pretty in casino night, phyllis's wedding, and at her art show (not so much the clothes, mostly just the hair/makeup). She has other moments too, but those are my favorites.

She looks cozy all bundled up. That's a hot look.

Okay, I have to agree that she was hott in Drug Testing. It was the glimmer in her eye. Jenna/Pam was so giddy and happy that day.

Oh yeah, in Drug Testing her TH after Jim did the fake crying. She looked so attractive when she said, "did not expect that". You can tell how hot she is for him at that moment.

We women can be secure in their feminitiy a lot easier than guys with their masculinity, apparently. My "Wow, look at Pam" moments are mostly season three. Casino Night definitely but in her "regular" apparel I'd have to say a toss up between Benihaha Christmas and The Convict. The red sweater made her hair look really good and I love how she looks in The Convict (especially the little smile she gives Jim when he's on the phone with Andy and after she's just been hit on by Andy). I like it when her hair isn't so frizzy but has a gentle curl.

On Diwali when she was dancing. Hands Down! ... that's what she said.

Definately "A Benihana Christmas". Her hair looked good, she looked good in that red sweater and she was having fun with the committee to plan parties. She always looks more attractive when she's showing signs of life instead of being down in the dumps. Also, like someone previously said, this is a thread about Pam's hotness, not about her cuteness. Those aren't always the same thing.

But again, to some, cute Pam = hot. Case in point: The Injury when she helps Dwight to the elevator. The way she keeps saying "I know" ... cute AND hot, IMO.

Cute, pretty, and hot are all very different.

Hot = Raw lust
Cute = Very good-looking, but in a more innocent kind of way. Also, cute people become much more attractive when they do certain unique things. Lastly, it is the word you would normally use to describe someone you think is "hot" to a peer of the opposite sex.
Pretty = Good-looking in a classic sort of way. Also the word you would generally use to describe someone you think is "hot" or "cute" to a parent or other older relative.

I agree with you Snogging Stapler and Fleece it Out. Jim was very uncomfortable whenever anyone talks about Pam's looks. He always goes back to how easy she is to talk to. I think he's more into the cute aspects of Pam. I'm sure that her looks don't hurt, but they're not the origin of his affections.

I suggest you go back and watch that scene from the secret when Pam is talking to Kelly about how she's going to wear her hair for her wedding and Jim is watching. Oh Sharla. You've just read a thread where a bunch of guys are raving about the hotness of a mousy secratary. That should give you a strong indication that men aren't nearly as harsh about evaluating a woman's looks as women themselves seem to be.

I agree, but I think cute can be just as sexual as hot, only in a different way. When I said "innocent" I didn't necessarily mean the thoughts are all G-Rated, but that the way the person acts, looks, and dresses is well... cute and innocent. Case in point: A lot of s**ts are considered hot, but you would never call a s**t cute. As a result, I find myself going after and fantasizing cute girls much more than hot girls.

That's not what I was trying to say. I was trying to say that her looks weren't the strongest part of his attraction to her, that it grew out of their friendship. I'm sure her looks do factor into it but they aren't the dominating factor (Jim never really mentions her looks when he's talking to Michael or anyone else about what he likes about Pam). And I don't think the thoughts going through his head in that scene were g rated either.

I think most people's answer to this question will depend on how they feel about Pam (or Jim and Pam) in general. If you're rooting for Jim and Pam (I refuse to use that stupid invented name), then it's likely that you think she's smokin' hot all the time. If you prefer Karen to Pam, you may believe that Pam's really quite frumpy.

My own feelings are somewhere in the middle. Pam dresses down, probably because she's a little intimated and immature. She can be extremely attractive when she wants to be, but it makes her uncomfortable to think of herself that way. Overcoming that innate reserve is one of the primary pre-requisites for her if she wants to hook Jim.

Either that, or she should wear a hat and stay out of direct sunlight.

Does the logic follow then, that women rate men lower than men would rate themselves? Or that women would rate men higher than the men would expect to be rated? Because anecdotally (sp.), men seem harsher judging women than themselves. Anyone else find that to be the case?

I wasn't meaning for my post to sound like I need a man to tell me I'm attractive (doesn't hurt to hear it every once in a while though). But when guys are posting the levels of cute, hot, lust, etc., it just makes you wonder where you fall. Don't guys ever wonder what women think of them? Or where they'd rate according to the John Krasinski Scale of Hotness?

I guess if I'm going to be posting on this thread I should probably stick to the topic. So, when do I, a heterosexual female, think that Pam, the mousy secretary, looked hottest? I'm going to have to go with her Fashion Show at Lunch ensemble. Either that or Phyllis's Wedding. But I think it's mainly because she was sporting a different look.

And I have to agree with The Great One, there are times when Jim looks at Pam and you KNOW he's not thinking of how nice she is.

I find that occasionally. It all comes back to an inflated male ego. (but not all men have this)

But sometimes, if a man is confident and comfortable about the way he looks (without being a narcassistic jackass about it) it bumps him up a couple points. I think this was also addressed in regards to women with confidence on the woman thread. Bottom line, people with confidence exude a certain glow, and it's attractive. No one wants to be with someone who walks with poor posture, slouched shoulders, head down, dragging their feet along. You could be the most attractive man in the room and I still wouldn't be interested.

Pam was most beautiful, I think, in the "Business School" episode, when she was at her art show. The moment she had with Michael at the end was...man, sadly that wasn't Jim. I think Karen was great in "Phyllis's Wedding," when she was singing that song by "The Police."
