Happy Mother's Day Mommies!!!

I woke up to French toast and orange juice this morning. And this special piece of art . . .

Awww! wub.gif

I sent my mother a fruit and candy basket and some books for Mother's Day. Our adopted "Mom" in the neighborhood received a potted tomato plant for her patio from the Ultra_Temps. Both Moms had good days and hope you all did, too!

Happy Mother's Day! cool.gif My dad took me, my son, and my mom out to lunch after church. Son and I made a pot of flowers to give to my mom. I usually have to work on Sundays, but was able to have it off today because the usual Sunday work load was on Saturday instead. That was nice. biggrin.gif I cleaned my car inside and out, planted some flowers, pulled weeds, and put out bird seed. Now my son is making soup for us.

My SIL took my mom to the casino and lunch today. I had bought my mom a new purse she wanted and gave that to her a few days ago. she had a nice day.

Happy mothers day to all the mom's and to everyone who either is a kinda mom or takes care of a mom.

We had a good day. My dad cooked an incredible filet mignon (fork tender), and had lots of side dishes and desserts to go with it. Earlier in the day I bought flower boxes for my deck, and I hope to get them planted tonight. I'll post a pic in the gardening thread when they're done.

I had a pretty decent weekend--we got to see all of the godchildren and for the most part, everyone behaved themselves. But I am exhausted!

this is late, but...Happy Mother's Day to all the board moms!

We had such a great weekend!

In addition to Mother's Day, it was also my father-in-law's 80th birthday. We had a big family cookout, and amazingly the weather turned nice (we've had weeks of rain and more coming). All the kids went in together to get them a big HD TV, since they love to watch movies. They set it up inside while I kept my in-laws busy outside. When they walked in and saw it they were in shock - it was great. Then we spent the rest of the evening trying to teach them to use it and the new DVR. Their lives will never be simple again. biggrin.gif

Then the next day I got flowers to plant from my kids and we had my sister and mom over for dinner. The whole weekend was visiting with family, eating good food and hanging out. It was fabulous smile.gif
