Just wondering if any fellow flans are going to have an Finale viewing party? We are not as the babe is in bed by then and I think we are too geeky for all the people we know that say "yeah, I like The Office"

Um, no.

That's going to be the busiest "work night" of the year for O-H and me.

And, if needing to keep one eye on the forum during the finale weren't enough of an excuse, hubby is a big Grinch when it comes to making plans on week nights, so I guess being here with y'all is going to be my viewing party.

I got one of my friends into the Office for the sole purpose of watching the finale together but I'm not sure if it will happen. (I would go home and watch it with my family but I take it too seriously for them; if they talk to much they are in danger of losing an eye to a flying remote). I do know that a bunch of us here at school are going to have an Office Marathon the weekend before the premire (Both UK and US versions, the dvd of season three will be out by then right? any idea when it'll be realeased?).

I had the best party tonight. Just my hubby, and our closest "couple" friend. We sent our kids to the g'parents, ate dinner, and let the wine flow while we watched. It was great. This is the first time I have watched with anyone other than my hubby since I usually have a conflict on Thursday nights and watch on DVR when I get home. We are doing the same thing next week at their house as long as I can get someone to watch the kiddies again!

It came out in September last year, I believe.
And no, I will not be having a finale party. Last time I had an Office party, too many people were talking through important parts and my friends saw a part of me that I'd rather never show again.
Although...I am house sitting at an AMAZING house next thursday and they have a GINORMOUS tv...so....maybe.....or maybe I'll be selfish and keep it to myself

I was planning on having a party/bbq with a few friends from work, but they all live about 45 minutes - an hour away and don't want to make the trek to my place.

But if anyone wants to come over, I'll throw a few burgers on the grill!

I'm having one! We have school off friday, so it can actually be a real party. I'm planing out office themed foods, such as awesome blossoms, mint chocolate chip ice cream cake, office music (from the songs heard on the office thread), and office games from office olympics. It's gonna be awesome!

We here in the Great White North have government approval to take Monday (21st) off to recover from any party-type exhaustion.

I've gone to several Office Parties this season. They're not all they're cracked up to be. First, the ones I went to started after the epi aired, because of kids' bed schedules. Then you have to wait for everyone to get there. (And if someone gets lost, than that could be a pretty long wait.) Then you have to deal with people talking over the epi, and you miss jokes. Plus, with the whole JAM ugliness this season, it usually takes me a viewing or two before I can get over the JAM angst and actually enjoy the epi. Ugh. So, the answer to this question is no. I'm NOT having an Office Party. Yea!!!! I'll be watching it all by myself!

I do have a few friends who are Office fans like me, but none to the extent that I am.
Therefore, I prefer to watch it alone, so that no one bothers me or talks during the show. The answering machine will pick up the phone. And God help the person who rings my doorbell during that sacred hour!

I seriously have NOT EVEN ONE person with whom to watch the office. My husband works on Thursday nights, but I know he'd watch it with me if he could even though he's not that crazy about it. He really is that sweet. I've watched it with my mom a couple of times and she will not SHUT UP when it's on!! I've found that it's best watched alone so I can soak it all in and then log on to the boards and see what you guys caught that I didn't.
Most people don't understand that Jim, Pam, Michael, Dwight, and the rest of the office crew are like my best friends.
Does that make me a loser?

Amen to that. For awhile there, they were on everyone's sig and I could not load a whole page before I read through it! It was nuts!

Yes, it is. My husband loves the show, in fact as we were watching Entourage last night, he said "I dont give a cr@p about this show. I only look forward to The Office." And I fell in love with him a little bit more. But I am constantly having to shush him. Now I just point at him and keep my eyes at that screen. He knows to make a mental note and ask me his inane question during the commerical.
I am having second thoughts about my finale "party." Our friends are huge flans, and we had a great time last week, but we both had our kids being watched, so there were no interruptions. They want us to come to their house thursday and bring the kids -- just let them hang upstairs. I really want ZERO interruptions. I dont know how to break it to them. I want to stay home.

No party here either, although I may get some mint choc chip ice cream, just because I love it!! I can't make up my mind whether or not to have a ham and cheese sandwich for supper, or toast with JAM.
My hubby already thinks that I am crazy obsessed enough about the show, so it's a little good that it's the finale, or else he'll be calling for an Office intervention and detox soon. I'll be getting him to set up our DVD recorder on Wed so I can record and rewatch over and over and over and over!! Although that will have to wait until Fri or else he'll be sending me off to the Funny Farm. (Wait, that might not be too bad, it'll be like a vacation from the kids

)
My kids don't go to bed until 8:30 so I think I'll be renting them a movie they haven't seen yet to watch upstairs all nice and quiet like. Hopefully my man will watch with them or work late, he talks too much during the show. The guy barely says anything during dinner or any other dumb show but he thinks of a thousand things to tell me about during the Office!
I'll try to come here to read all the bits I missed though, and obsess all i want with all of you.

Mr. Ultra_Temp works Thursday nights, so we will have our usual pizza party later while watching The Office from VCR. He seemed a little bummed that it is the season finale, so I may have to come up with a treat. Mint chocolate chip ice cream seems to be the popular choice.

I plan to watch the show live at 8 PM alone with no interruptions and will have to behave later. I won't get away with saying things like "wait until you see this!" on the second viewing.

oh THAT is hard for me! My friends normaly comes over late at night to watch agian with me, and I have to bite my tounge everything I know something is going to happen. I have to hid in the kitchen sometimes. When I watched CN for the second time with them, when THAT time came I ran and had to "fold my clothes" because I was about to scream adn they would of killed me! I am going to have to practice my "office face"
what is funny is that after thw ofice we atch Greys and somehow I have no problem hiding my excitement.. I think that says something about the difference between the two!
This finale I get to watch the episode on Friday with them so I get a day to calm down!

I'm starting to panic because my dad called to say he's coming in from out of town this week. I have NO IDEA WHEN HE WILL BE HERE. He's notorious for driving in, calling me an hour away "I'm here." I have a friend that's kind of into the Office and she even suggested getting together that night, but I just can't handle dividing my attention on such an important night. So my party will be a party of one. I even took the whole day off of work, because I know there's no way I'll be able to concentrate all day. I'll be putting good Jam vibes out into the universe by enjoying grilled cheese sandwiches, Sun Chips, jelly beans, and for my favorite couple: a giant Dwangela cookie.
