Lipstick Jungle??... that sounds like a real winner. Every one of those shows pales in comparison to TBD

But I think Bionic Woman sounds like a real winner! [note sarcasm]

Lipstick Jungle??????? Seriously????? WTF!!!!!
kerriganomalley
Can't give up hope. There is still a chance that another network will pick it up! I'm not giving up until this fall when all the new seasons begin.

Fat lady didn't sing yet!

Since Heroes is hot they think any show or character with any type of superpower will win the hearts and intelligence of the viewers. Not sure why they didn't just name it Hereos - The Bionic element. It could go along with their Law and Order spinoffs.

Put these superpowered heroes in a formal setting such as a wedding and then allow them to use their powers to pull pranks on the guests. That's the making of a true NBC show.

Sorry to say it but the Fat Lady has sung. You can't sit around in you Lazy Boy hoping that at some point the shows will come back just because nothing was officially announced. TBD, S60 and Crossing Jordan are done.

Enjoy the remaining episodes buy em all up on Itunes and buy those DVDs, thats really the only way to make NBC see what idiots they are....though buying DVDs will just pad NBC pockets so they might not care.

Yes you are correct!! Time machine travel, karako singers, bionic women.....all great tv!! We haven't seen time machine travel before......Maybe "chuck" knows all about the "bionic woman" but has to travel with the "journeyman" to hide from the FBI and the dancers that are trying to get to LA!

Can't wait! (not). I won't be watching NBC this fall!

Even though the odds are about a trillion to one there's "The Office" miracle, where it did good on iTunes and DVD Sales. Chances are it probably won't happen, but to keep trying can't make anything worse!
HerdGrad
Other shows absent from the line up:

ANY new show that was in the moday night 10pm slot gets canned (except for FNL which was only on Monday for one night I think)

also on the chopping block; Raines and The Apprentice are absent from the show list as well.

I don't know how these things work, but I remember someone saying NBC makes very little off the dvds.
It goes to the producers ...or something??
Could someone clear me up on this?
I'm still buying the dvds and peddling it best I can to HBO.

TBD was produced by NBC Universal

I'm concerned for Heroes.. It seems like NBC is gonna squeeze every penny out of that show that they can and now they're gonna let the public vote for the characters they want to see on the show? Let the writers deal with that stuff, that's what they're paid to do. Don't let a bunch of 13-year old girls rule over them with an iron fist, it'll destroy the show.

NBC will never learn apparently. I'm through with network tv for good.
snakelady78
THX

Like I said though I'm still going to buy the dvds.
I'm hoping like everyone else that HBO will make an offer for it, we just have to show them how great our fan base is.

NBC still doesn't make much money off the DVDs. The NBC Network and NBC Universal Television Studio (That's NUTS.. that's actually how the company refers to itself hahaha) are 2 separate companies and revenue that NUTS brings in from DVD sales doesn't affect the network. Universal Home Entertainment and NUTS will make money from the DVD sales and NBC the network won't make much at all (they get a little something though).

It's just like GE making money from selling microwaves as far as the network is concerned.. it's got nothing to do with them even though it's under the same umbrella.

I agree but sometimes I wonder..where are the writers going?
Do you sometimes feel like they are just playing around and have no direction?

The character I liked best got killed off in one episode...that lady mechanic who could hear things. Why let such an animated and interesting character get killed?

I know it all sounds like something my son would watch on the cartoon network.
NBC is not concerned about ratings I think..
kelly1987
Am I grasping at straws?, NBC fall lineup

I saw the other post about the NBC fall line up that didn't have tbd's listed.... but then I started thinking, this show didn't start in the fall, it started in February. If there is a snowballs chance in **** that it isn't cancelled, would it even be listed on the fall lineup?
misty1976
I thought of that too...anything is possible. Just keep spreading the word and then if DVD sales are awesome, maybe that will help!

Sorry to say, but they already have their midseason shows planned, and TBD is not among them. Only chance now is another network.

Hahaha, yea, I noticed your post over there. But doesn't it feel so good?! There are so many things you can say about these new shows though that are legitimate arguments. They are just bad TV. Yes, I am bitter about some shows being cancelled, but would feel better if these new shows didn't sound so horrible.

New Fall Shows

I'm sorry.. Nbc is full of a bunch of crazy people. I just saw the previews for Bionic Woman, Journeyman, and Chuck and all the other crap.. HORRIBLE! Who makes these choices to put crappy shows in place of amazing ones like the Black Donnellys? Bionic Woman is a joke, Journeyman is ridiculous, Chuck.. not funny at all, and the new reality shows are pathetic. Life doesn't seem that bad.. maybe because it reminds me too much of the Black Donnelys and all the crime stuff, but I am seriously done watching NBC. Ugh!

How bout we all quit this site when our shows are done so NBC's internet advertisers leave too?
We all have the Firecracker and a few other sites for TBD, do you all have a another S60 site?

We are getting posts deleted right and left... just like the shows on NBC.
uvagrl928
Someone else please post something about the show Baby Borrowers. This is the show that I find extremely disappointing/offensive, and they have already deleted my post about it. It's sad... there is nothing that looks that appealing on NBC's fall lineup. I am hoping that the other networks have more to offer later this week.
kelly1987

Donnellys_Above_All
I can't believe NBC has the nerve to post an announcement (that we cannot reply to, of course) at the top of this show's thread that crows about its crappy new schedule that does not include "The Black Donnellys." Pour some more salt into the wound, why don't ya? Or here, I have a puppy you can kick if that's how you want to play it. Either would serve the same purpose as posting that announcement here to rub our faces in your poor decision-making skills.

This shoddy treatment made me so angry that I had to finally register, after reading these boards for several weeks.

NBC, I have been a fan for more than 30 years, but I am now done with you.

No, if you post anything negative, they erase your posts. Too bad NBC doesn't like to hear the truth -- that we don't want crazy reality shows!!
jeepgurl2174
Every show over there sounds like something done before, Quantum Leap. A UK hit coming to US (Baby Borrowers), that has worked in the past, Coupling, Weakest Link...and the Bionic Woman!?! I foresee an account suspension, but after the final TBD episode tonight I can guarantee I won't be back, so if they want my opinion, they're getting it! Hope they enjoy deleting my posts...someone's going to earn their paycheck.
TommysTaylor
Yeah, I say we walk out so NBC doesn't make any money on ads. It isn't a ton of money, but for a network in 4th place and run by complete morons every bit helps.

I liked all the response to Baby Borrowers... got quite a few, and then they all disappeared.
