thanks. it doesn't give us fans much hope. maybe we can bring CJ back.
MystikalStorm
Why do they get rid of all of the best shows? I LOVE Crossing Jordan and I never miss a week! We need to start a petition to give this show another chance! I hate the way they get rid of intelligent, smart, well-written shows so that they can bring in fluff like "The New Bionic Woman"! If the network execs read this letter....I'd just like to say that if you get rid of Crossing Jordan, Passions and Days of our Lives, don't be surprised when your ratings tank even more than they already have this season! What's next on your chopping block? ER...??!!
scrappycat
I am completely ticked! How can NBC say they are "returning to a legacy of quality" or something like that and then turn around and cancel a show like Crossing Jordan?? This is one of the highest quality shows on TV, with the most amazing cast!! It just isn't right!!!!
uvagrl928
I am completely shocked. I have never really watched Crossing Jordan, but it looks so much better than most of the crap that is out there on the air (and what is on NBC's fall schedule). I knew that Studio 60 and TBD would probably be cancelled, but I assumed they would renew CJ at the last minute. Way to go NBC.

By the way... Wednesday I will stream video clips from the show on my computer. I am not a Nielsen viewer, so me having my TV is not going to be a big deal. I agree with the CJ and TBD fans that have already talked about doing this stuff... I think we need to watch as much of these cancelled series as possible to raise their ratings, to show NBC what a mistake they have made.

Actually, the next season of ER is the last season. So yeah, it is going next.

No wonder a lot of people do not watch tv anymore. All the shows that they enjoy watching are removed from tv.
kjsriter
I don't have much hope but I'm mailing my tissues off today anyway.
NavyWife93
Have you seen the "quality" new shows they want to put on NBC??!?!!?? What a joke!!!! Bringing back the Bionic Woman--oh give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for ER and Heroes I would totally give up NBC.
lilies
i know, navy wife. a lot of the shows they already have are low quality. i'm talking mostly about the reality and game shows. i never watch them. i'm going to watch the finale of crossing jordan, but i refuse to watch anything else on the network unless they bring back the show.

Also, what about shows named Chuck and Lipstick Jungle? Who wants to watch crap with those kind of titles?

I don't think I'd be interested in any of their new programs unless I considered the actors. And it looks like Miguel Ferrer is the only one I know in any of the shows.

I was just on the fall previews board and oh my god all those shows sound so stupid.

Yes. I can't believe Miguel signed on to such a stupid show. If he wasn't on it, I would hope it would do horrible. H*ll, I still hope it does horrible.
lilies
i hope it doesn't do well either. hopefully, it won't, they'll cancel it, and they can bring back crossing jordan in the spring, with miguel/dr. macy alive and well in it.

What a lot of crap NBC plans to put on in the fall. CRAP!

Zach Braff had this to say about his show, Scrubs, which NBC almost didn't pick up but did at the last moment - in a shortened season:
Yes. Scrubs got picked up for Season 7. It was a close call there for a second. One day when I write my tell all autobiography I'll tell you which people in the TV business are awesome and who are particularly assy. Anyway, the awesome people won this round and the assy people lost and Scrubs will be on NBC for it's final season. I am very happy about this. It has been such a major part of my life and the thought of not finishing it all properly our own way; on our own terms was lame. So I am very happy about that.

I guess the assy ones are in charge of CJ.

I was so excited to see that NBC had put out it's new line up. It was so short lived. I'm like where is Crossing Jordan? It was nowhere to be seen. So I googled Crossing Jordan and came across this site. I realized there were others that shared my disappointment about the move from Sunday to Wednesday. Not to mention that they brought the show back like it was a after thought. Has anyone seen Crossing Jordan on DVD any of the seasons?

Assy indeed. That's my new favorite word!

So they are gonna cancel my show with a cliff hanger!! This is great! I guess NBC is following the same logic as HBO under Chris Albrecht--too bad he wasn't fired sooner-Cancel a show when the last episode of the season is a cliff hanger--HBO did this with Carnivale! I am furious. ER is becoming a drag, the comedies are just a bunch of frat house toilet humor and now I only have Deal or no Deal and Law and order SVU to look forward to. Thanks to NBC/Universal for forcing me to NOT watch tv. I hope they change thier minds but not holding much hope if thier prior history repeats itsself. At least we have A&E re runs!! My heart goes out to the entire cast, crew and writers. I have Universal pass and was going to spend the 200 bucks a piece to do the VIP tour which included the Crossing Jordan sets-- Not any more! So say good bye to my 1000.00 I was going to spend and possibly the 3000.00 I spend a year going to the park to see what's new. BIG MISTAKE NBC!!!!! BRING BACK CROSSING JORDAN!!!
Edia
I agree, it really stinks that there will not be any CJ ever!. I still have CJ and Studio 60 on my TiVO favorites to record, I guess I might as well delete them!

NBC - No one is interested in your new shows, we want to keep the old ones ....

May your ratings fall lower than a cockroaches belly!
svucj70
Just saw the new fall schedule and no Jordan. Figures. and the Jordan website still says Season finale not Series finale. Guess we get a cliffhanger and not an ending. What kind of shows are these they have new next year, Lipstick Jungle, Chuck, Bionic Woman. Won't be watching any of these. Guess I'm taking my child to the park more often. All I got left is Deal, L & O, L & O SVU, and Medium left. Maybe I will switch networks. There has to be something better. Maybe CSI or Numbers or something. NBC done ticked me off. We watch. Big people up high don't care that we watch and bring ratings up. That is what happens when you put a show up against American Idol. I hate reality shows. They are so predictable. Anyway enough of my rambling. Just venting.

they haven't released CJ on dvd yet, but there's a rumor going around that it will be released this month. i hope it's true!

Ok this is making me really mad, ive been watching crossing jordan from the very beginning and now they are going to cancel it.I want to see the rating for all of the shows on wed night and see which one has the highest! If they are going to cancel crossing jordan for good then how are they going to explain this last episode of this season. And also, with lily and bug together, kate and nigel (you know that they have a connection and they are just now, hopefully, coming out with it to the others)This is making me mad.Well we will just have to wish for the best.

sad.gif From someone who loved the original Bionic Woman - I hate the idea of them trying to replace or revamp it. The Bionic movies tried to get the very young Sandra Bullock to be the "new" bionic woman and that didn't take off at all... However, for someone who loves to see Miguel I'm very, very, very mixed about the "new" show. We know what Miguel is doing and I can't remember what new show Jerry is signed up to be doing, but I still want to see all the actors from CJ - no matter what they are working in/on. I want them ALL to do well no matter what. They ALL gave us such joy over these past six years. smile.gif

yes, the cast gave us such a wonderful time. i want them to do well, too. however, even if i didn't plan on boycotting the network after i see the finale, i'm not sure i could stand watching any of the crew in other shows. it would be a painful reminder that the network doesn't care about the show or the fans.

sad.gif I am so disappointed that they are canceling CJ! I mean they wonder why people are not watching network TV anymore, its because they keep changing times, cancelling shows half way through, and replacing them with dumb shows like the Bionic Woman. Is there any chance that it could be brought back? Or maybe be picked up by another network?

i don't if it can be brought back or picked up by another network. i hope it can be, but i'm not sure. i hope if it can be picked up by another network, it won't be by a network owned by NBC. the way nbc has treated CJ, i wouldn't trust any NBC owned companies to treat it any better than NBC has been treating it.

Jerry is doing a show called Carpoolers.

A lot of TBD fans are posting their opinions on the New Fall Line up board. I think it wouldn't hurt for us to do the same, mentioning Crossing Jordan. I have yet to read anything positive posted about the new shows. They all look stupid!
pruett66
I cannot believe that NBC is canceling Jordan........What about Jordan and Woody? Nigel and Kate? And what about Lilly, Bug and the baby? How can NBC be so cruel as to leave the show with a cliff hanger like a plane crash and not answer the fans questions? We want to know what happens with all of our couples. We look forward to each weeks episode. How can you cancel one of your biggest hits and bring in something like the bionic woman? No thanks on that one. I only watch NBC for Days of Our Lives and Crossing Jordan. You are going to go even farther downhill if you take Jordan off the air. You have so many directions that you could go with Crossing Jordan. And what about her father and half brother James? Where's the answers for that situation? Who killed her mother? Did her brother do it? Does he know who did? What does her father know? The fans want answers to these questions. NBC there is another season of shows for you so that you can answer the fans questions. Please don't cancel our show!!!!!
Huge Crossing Jordan Fan!!!!!!

The butt heads did delete all of my posts too. I'm posting again!

I'm switching to Letterman and boycotting the rest of the NBC Fall line up. They have really made a huge mistake by cancelling CJ, one of the highest quality shows on Network TV. Their programming is becoming too low brow for my tastes, bye bye.
kjsriter
I've been officially scolded:

This forums are not a petition. By posting repeatedly "bring back Crossing Jordan" you are effectively spamming the forums. Spamming is prohibited on the message boards.

I'm going to delete your posts that provide no additional content aside from the Crossing Jordan references because they are spam, and you can consider this your final warning. Additional spam postings will result in a temporary suspension of your account.

Thank you.

I did mention that I thought each new show DID NOT look very interesting. I guess that doesn't count for an opinion. I'm not allowed to say I'd prefer to have Crossing Jordan on. I guess they're getting the message though. I better behave now before I get sent to the principal's office. Wonder if this will get deleted....
LandCruiser
They deleted at least three of mine... and they all were very long posts, and not spamming or flaming... just my thoughts. When I complained and started reposting my thoughts and about how I was getting irked that they kept deleting my posts, this was the response I got:

QUOTE
Posts are deleted for a number of reasons: they contain flames (rude, insulting, slanderous remarks) or because they reply to a post that was deleted that contained inappropriate content (when you reply, you can opt not to include the post you're replying to, which is wise if the post you're replying to violates the rules), because the same post was posted multiple times (also known as spam, posting the same post more than once), or because the post is so far off topic as to disrupt the forum.

Please feel free to read the pinned topic about the rules and standard message board etiquette for more information on how to post appropriately.

Thanks.

I was abiding by the rules. They simply don't want their advertising area for the new fall season riddled with posts from disgruntled viewers who they've blown off. sad.gif

And when I started posting the bit about them taking off my previous posts and then leaving my opinion again, they went through and EDITED OUT the bit about them deleting my previous posts!!! It's infuriating to be treated like this!

Oh, and has anyone else noticed that the people in there in the last little bit who are gushing about the new shows are all MODS here on the NBC board??? I'm wondering if they sent out a SOS to their staffers pleading for some help in getting in a few good comments about their new fall line-up. rolleyes.gif

It all seems pretty pathetic to me. It just makes me more determined to never watch NBC again. The CJ finale will be the last time I turn the chanel to NBC.
