they had alot of midseason hopefulls that just didn't do it, but there are a few shows worth keeping and god bless them for keeping the thursday nite line up soild

Tough call on the hour long episodes. 30 minutes does go by pretty quick, and 20 minutes or so sans commercials on the DVD's is even shorter.

But they do a good job of rounding out a story in the time given. And if they did hour long episodes the season would probably be shorter. So maybe more new stuff stretched over a long time is better methinks.

I vote that shows are actually a 30 mins. I love that they have more episodes this season but the shows seem to average about 22 mins. Thankfully they kept earl and made it longer. Earl rocks!

This such an exceptional ensemble cast - I love them all!

isn't earl getting more episodes next season. The office has 30 right? I'm remembering correctly I think. I thought Earl was trying to make more than 30 for next season.

All I know is, "It's back and longer," never gets old.
