instead of obsessing over crushes and hypothesizing about what "might" happen in future episodes, how about we talk about something we know ... our other favorite shows.
my two favorites have to be "the office" (obviously) and "arrested development." if i had to pick an absolute favorite, i'd go with "arrested development." i think the reason has to do with the first season of "the office." it was painful. anyone else with me on this?
i also enjoy "south park," "scrubs," and for some unexplicable reason "24."
call me predictable, but i don't like shows with laugh tracks. i'm grown up enough to know when to laugh...

i LOVED LOVED LOVED "Arrested Development"... SO SAD it didn't make it back (sigh!!)
The Humor in "Big Love" is pretty enthralling, too. (The fact that Bill Paxton says things like 'he's not welcome in my homeS' without blinking an eye is pretty fun.) Polygamy on mainstream TV, and I am learning to like the characters. pretty nuts.
(To be honest, I only converted to the Office after Arrested Development got canceled!!! Thanks to netflix, I caught up!)
Thankfully I don't like much else, since my tv time is at a premium! (W&Grace sucks now, it makes no sense that she is preggers)

I really liked Arrested Development, too. Pretty genious. LOVE The Office. I'm a big Seinfeld fan, too, even though it's over. Scrubs is another one of my favs. For my dose of drama, I'm recently addicted to Grey's Anatomy. Anyone watch the finale last night? OMG!

Earl
Daily Show
Colbert Report
Sunny in Philly
Arrested D
Simpsons
South Park
Just about everything else that I like has been cancelled...AD is fighting for a cable resurrection, but it doesn't look good.
I used to like 24, but I missed one episode in Season 2 and I never learned how Jack came back to life, so I'm done with that one. I'm also done with ER because I cant keep up with the rotating cast...I do love Maura Tierney and Linda Cardellini though.

My other TV addictions, though admittedly not as bad as my Office addiction are Scrubs and NCIS (I love Gibbs). The other shows I watch are Ghost Hunters, Mythbusters, CSI (if there's no Office on)and the occasional reality show like Amazing Race, Dancing With the Stars and right now - Last Comic Standing. I LOVE Grey's but this mother of 2 can't always make it to 10pm on a Sunday night.

Thank goodness next season it's on at 9 on Thursdays. Which sent me into a panic attack until I found out that The Office is being moved to Tuesdays at 8:30 so all is well w/ the world.

There are other shows?
Seriously, though, the only current shows I watch with any regularity are:
The Office
My Name is Earl
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
(CSI: Miami is an occasional guilty pleasure)
My husband and I were huge fans of Seinfeld (like most people in America), Twin Peaks, and the X-Files.

Well, of course, The Office...
I watch a lot of TV (thank you TiVo)...so,
Half hour shows:
Arrested Development (I went into a period of mourning when they finally cancelled it.)
The Simpsons
Family Guy
How I Met Your Mother (actually quite a good traditional sitcom)
Hour Shows:
[censored]/Tuck
CSI (got 2 TiVos)
Grey's Anatomy (I'm a sucker for a good romance)
Medium
24
Gilmore Girls
American Idol (total guilty pleasure)

Arrested Developement is fantastic and like the Office, get better with repeated viewings.
The only other shows besides the Office that i don't miss are House and Lost. But other shows i like, that are currently on and not in reruns are:
Family Guy
Simpsons if i remember
Grey's Anatomy with my wife if we remember
Scrubs (except it's on Tuesday at the same time as House, and i record House since i'm not hom on Tuesdays, but i am now, but i may not be when the new seasons start except from what i see, they may be doing another Scrubs starting mid-season deal)
It was interesting to see Sunny in Philly on someone's list. I watched some episodes of that last season and i must say, it was pretty funny.
The Loop, i thought, is pretty funny.
I also agree with whoever talked about liking shows without laugh tracks. Malcolm in the Middle and Bernie Mac are the same way. Seems like it's a Fox thing.

You like Dharma and Greg too, ilovepam?! Air High Five! I also like Family Guy and The Nanny.
By the way, has anyone seen that new show on Lifetime, Lovespring International? It's kinda Lifetime's immitation of The Office. You know the show's a hit when Lifetime does an immitation of it.

Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law
Tom Goes to the Mayor
12 oz. Mouse and Squidbillies do nothing for me. I'm still on the fence about Perfect Hair Forever.

Soprano's
Big Love
Entourage

Desperate Housewives (Tivo only, still haven't finished the season)
King of Queens - Actually thought this the best season yet

Diapers, I absolutely love N1p Tuck! It's a fairly racey, jaw-dropping kind of show... for cable that is. There are so many WTF moments - you wonder how they get away with it. Re-runs start mid July, I believe. New season out in September. Once you watch it, you'll be hooked.

3. Earl (Jamie Pressly is GREAT!)
4. Housewives
5. Greys
6. Monk
7. Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List
8. Cold Case (except you can usually guess whodunnit before the opening credits even roll)
9. Without A Trace
10. Oprah (I confess!!!)
I agree that "Lost" is going to pull a "Twin Peaks" and leave everyone feel cheated. Those Hollywood types never learn.
I also miss the Bluths.
"Third Watch" and "Quantum Leap" are 2 shows that I went into mourning over.
Did anyone catch "Kitchen Confidential"? It was on a few episodes last year on Fox. I found it very funny - similar to "The Ofice" only in a restaurant. Of course it was cancelled.

Great thread! I love all of these shows. Since most, if not all of these shows are in summer repeats the Lost fans should check out 4400 on USA. It's about peolple who were abducted at different times in the last 50 years and then all retuned at once. The don't know who took them. Now they are developing diferent powers. All they know is that they were sent back to save mankind. It's not as good as Lost, but it will fill your sci-fi fix over the summer. Also you should check out Rescue Me on FX. It's about NYC fire fighters. The dialouge between the guys is so funny. Also it's full of WTF moments. It's a great drama/comedy.
This is so bad, I am such a TV Junkie. Kevin and Stanley ROCK.

You're going to love it! Once you watch them all, go rent (or preferably buy - dvd extras!) Serenity. But watch the tv eps first. I have a friend at work who recently borrowed both of mine. She watched the movie but not the episodes and was left wondering about a lot. You'll understand so much more with the tv shows behind the movie.
I've seen every episode of Buffy, Angel & Firefly more times than I can count...and the really great ones (OMWF, Hush) I couldn't even guess how many. Except for The Office, I rarely watch the networks anymore. I'm afraid (and gleefully happy) that my Office obsession is overshadowing Buffy. And I've only met one other person who didn't think I was a total freak in my Buffy obsession...So Thanks!

Thanks for the info - I can't wait to check Firefly out!
It's always nice to know other BTVS freaks! I agree, Hush is the best BTVS epi. Also loved the "Angel" epi, Buffy vs. Dracula (Drac was hot), and Smashed (Spike sex).
Are you watching David on Bones now? I like it okay - my mom is obsessed with him. Also, James Marsters on Smallville? No sign of SMG - wonder what she's up to?
