That ending completely left this show open for tons of more seasons if necessary but at least one more. HOW DID THIS GET CANCELLED????

After watching the intro 12 about 20 times, I realized something that I haven't heard anyone talk about. Joey Icecream mentions being in witness protection program, and his friends having a hit out on him. Anyone else notice this?

wow! what an ending...i've gotta have more!

i knew this was going to happen. i didnt see the finale yet but i knew it was going to be a typical cliff hanger ending. this sucks...it really does. i wish it was given a proper send off and finale...(like 5 years from now...haha) but seriously, it should have been given at least a proper finale to answer all of the questions.

without giving anything away, was it an absolutely amazing episode?

I loved the part when they got the rocket launcher and then Joey/Jimmy going after Dokey with the grenade that didn't work. I was rolling on the floor!

OMG I'm not gonna post anything yet I'm gonna wait for everyone to see it but My stomache is still in knots.

This is such a great story.

It was a great episode (right there with pilot, savior and black drop). The ending was awesome but all i can say is it literally left enough open to make many more seasons. The great thing about this show is that the entire season I think was like a 2 week span so who knows how far into the future Joey is in jail so they can keep going at the same pace

Also, a lot of funny one-liners in there this episode.

please, please, please - how do we make it possible? the show cannot cannot end. Who do we call, what do we do? The show is set up for a second season - it can't stop!!

Can you believe they are going to replace this with the "Baby Borrowers"? That's what ties my stomache up in knots!

D a m n, awesome episode. I actually watched last week's episode tonight because I couldn't get it to load last Monday. I am so bummed that this show is over. I can't say that there is another show that I have followed so closely, I really am bummed that it is not coming back. If FX or Spike or even HBO picked this show up I would be so happy. H e l l, I would even subscribe to get HBO if I heard they would pick it up.

Hi I am need at this posting thing, but had to post. I have been very upset at the fact that NBC has drop this show. After watching this late episode, may I just say that NBC is crazy! This is the best show on TV and you are crazy not to put this show back on. I think someone will pick this show up its to good for someone not too. Just want NBC to know you are making a big mistake

yeah finally. she made me proud. at least now she will have no real reason to hate tommy. she knows how it is. good for her. bad that she couldn't go along with them.

Wow! and I thought I was p*ssed before I watched this episode...I cannot believe NBC...completely speechless. This episode hit the whole range of emotions, I just can't believe it was cancelled.

i liked how tommy was all 'are you coming?' to joey ice cream like it was obvious and joey looked so happy like he was going to cry. it was awesome. i love how gentle tommy is with the ladies. nice guy. man.

I am still in shock from Dokey shooting Helen.

In addition to the "wow" ending, I loved the humor in this one -- it was great!.... Like in the flashback when you hear Mrs. Donnelly falling down the stairs the day the kids were supposed to go to Jello Land. LOL

i wish one more season. i am sooo upset. it was like someone going to killl me and instead crippling me so terribley and leaving me there. at least if they were going to end the show they would answer the questions! i know they couldnt finish plotlines when they didnt know there wouldnt be a second season but MYY GOODDD. im so torn up.i wanna cry. its overrrrr DX

I say this every week, but this was hands down the BEST episode! I'm so sad now that it's over! What else can we do?!

i was so moved when tommy came to tell jenny that he loves her and that he wanted her to come with them (and even bring her dad!). what a great guy, somebody for keeps....

i hope the DVD comes out soon, so nbc can see sooner that TBD can earn some big bucks!

I loved how Joey was sad that he was getting left but had already told his grandmother he was leaving town. FFS NBC, bring back this show you morons.

This sucks butt. what a short season. this really blows that its over. maybe if all the fans gave like 5 bucks we could raise enough money to make a new season. its an idea. probably wouldnt work though. i just hope that maybe next year they come out with a show that is just as good or better. i doubt it will be bionic woman though. who the **** thought of that. these writers need serious mental help. and the people that like their ideas need even more help.

It's those nice little touches that make the show -- the writing has been great on TBD!!

I know! I pretty much started crying in that part because I felt so bad for Tommy. And then again when she didn't answer the phone, but I was proud of her for beating Samson.


And to ciampino2, that part with Joey might have been my favorite of the episode! I was so afraid he'd get left behind and end up in jail, but lo and behold we don't know why he's in jail yet!

Just picture how much this is going to change Tommy. Instead of thinking how much he hates how his life has changed for the worse, he's now going to reget not killing Dokey when he had the chance. Please, somebody... anybody... give us another season!

Lame. You think they had some time to edit for a series finale after knowing they're cancelled for 2 months. So bummed that they strung me along. I thought the writers might actually be smarter than a 2 year old, but apparently I was wrong. Terrible and a waste of my time/monday nights. Thanks for absolutely nothing NBC. Pathetic. F- Mrs. Donnelly, Dokey and everyone else. Nothing made sense b/c awful writing failed to make me care about the ending. Wrap it up or f-off and reimburse me for my time.

Yeah this episode ruled and it's left us with sooo many unanswered questions.

I must say though the part with Jimmy's girl on the corner was really good I almost cried. I really got choked up though when Joey is standing there while they're all piling into the van. I was like no way they can't leave Joey behind. Then afterwards when he gets in and ends up being like Yeah I called my grandma. I laughed. The grenades were hilarious. "Should I throw it now, what about now, Jimmy should I throw it now?" Then when they finally do it ends up being a dud. So great. Helen getting shot was a total mind**** I thought he was gonna shoot Jimmy but that was a low blow. What finally put me over the edge and made me start to cry was Tommy holding the wound and the look on Jimmy's girl's face as she cried and screamed. So sad.

I also wanna know if Nicky made it to the hospital.

Altogether awesome. Still holding out hope for a Season 2(and many more) but it more than likely won't happen

Samson got what was coming to him, my guess was that after Jenny beat him she was on her way to Tommy. I bet if there was a second season that's how it would start.

I wish there would have been more info on the whole Helen-Bobby story line, like Dokey would have forced Helen out of the car to admit at gunpoint that she sent Bobby to meet his fate.

So Nicky drugged Alo, obviously Nicky won't die, but then whats gonna happen? Will Nicky take over the Italian Mafia? Will the Italians turn on him? WFT???

I'm also surprised that with all the guys in the union who admired Bobby Donnelly, that they still went after the family. They could have all turned on Dokey, end of story.

And of course no mention of the land scheme with the politician and the mob leaders. What will happen to the neighborhood?

And of course, the money question...WHY IS JOEY IN JAIL? WHERE ARE THE DONNELLY'S IN THE "FUTURE"?

This is the dumbest thing I ever read, how can a show that thought it would have another season miraculously create scenes to end the whole thing??? What a moron! I was a little disappointed that it wasn't all out war in the beginning but the ending was great. So didn't think the mom was getting it, I thought for sure Jimmy or Kevin were goners. Great episode, I want more!!!

If it's the fact that I almost cried about Jimmys girl(still annoyed that I can't for the life of me remember her name >.<) I thought that her dialogue with Jimmy was heartbreaking and the part with Joey I was less so actually sad and more so expecting that he'd end up in the van but the look on his face was convincing and had me second guessing that he may end up being left behind. *shrug* Again don't really get what my age has to do with anything.

It's called editing, idiot. You have filmed scenes and a brain and you make them make sense. It's also respect for your audience. Don't leave people with a cliff hanger when half the cast has contracts for new shows and there is zero chance of a second season. As a fan, you should be p-oed. Not complacent or they'll do it to you again.
