I emailed Matt asking why he didn't think a cable outlet would buy TBD and he replied "because no one's going to throw good money after bad. it's too expensive for most cable outlets, and it carries the stink of failure. the percentage of shows that survive initial cancellation is beyond puny. it almost never happens."
I hope he's wrong

Well he is right about it carrying the stink of failure unfortunately.

or their *** from their elbow!!!
I'm sorry he is wrong...it is obvious to any station that looks at what has occurred with this show (i.e. # of streaming, itunes sales/ratings, websites, lack of promotion...etc...) that it has greatness written all over it...failure should be left at NBC's door where it belongs!!!

The new network would make nothing off Itune sales so I doubt they would care.
Really how many shows can you name that crossed over to a different network in the history of Televison?
Right now I can only think of JAG off the top of my head.

didn't they cancel the office and then bring it back after they saw the #'s from the DVD sales? and i don't think tbd costs any more that, say "Rome" or maybe "OZ"??!!!
i never agree with critics anyways, they always say this sucks or that sucks, and 99.999% of the time i disagree with them so...

He can't even string words together intelligently so I'm not putting stock in what he says.

LOL, I noticed that right off the bat. But he is right about one thing, we are going to have to prove through DVD sales that it is cost effective. That said, I see no reason why it can't happen. First, I don't think it really costs as much as The Sopranoes or many of the FX shows. Likewise, smaller networks would be happy to have the viewership of a show like this.

Don't waste your time over this crap.
TBD was a good try but it had bad acting, bad scripts, just bad everything. It'll be on cable probably at 4:00 in the morning and rerun the same 13 crappy episodes for the next few years.

Thats so lame about it being lousey show NBC blew it due to lack of advertising THATS FOR SURE there are so many people I told about the show and NOONE ever heard of it, it was poor promotion on NBC's part as far as I am concerned, if someone else picks it up they should do a big ad campaign and put the stars on talk shows as well. Jay Leno is on NBC why didnt they use his show as spring board this is just my opinion I will keep trying, " too good to lose"
