Forget FX, Try this.

Evferyone email Mark.Cuban@dallasmavs.com and tell him to pick up TBD for HDNET. He just replied to my comment on his blog, saying that he has talked to NBC about the show. He is very tech savvy and has noticed TBD's huge online following. He is also looking for solid shows to add to the lineup. Tell him you will subscribe to HDNet if they pick up TBD. Thanks!

I just sent him an email.

Dear Mr. Cuban,

I am writing with regards to any possibility of your HDNET national television network picking up the recently canceled NBC drama, The Black Donnellys.

I find the program to be very engaging with well developed story arcs and characters. The acting is superb and the production/direction is also stellar.

If your network were to pick up the program for a new season or beyond, I would instantly drop my comcast account and switch to DirectTV so that I could access HDNET programming. I know of many devout others who would do the same simply for this single show.

Thank you for your time. I appreciate your obviously passionate efforts in all of your endeavors.

Best,

Mark Cuban interested in picking up TBD???, read this

I am reposting Driftwood22's topic because i really think it should stay at the top and ensure that people read it. So here's what he said:

"Everyone email Mark.Cuban@dallasmavs.com and tell him to pick up TBD for HDNET. He just replied to my comment on his blog, saying that he has talked to NBC about the show. He is very tech savvy and has noticed TBD's huge online following. He is also looking for solid shows to add to the lineup. Tell him you will subscribe to HDNet if they pick up TBD. Thanks!"

I think this is an excellent idea and everyone should send him an email so he knows its got fans that are fighting for it. Thanks guys! Keep it up!

reply from Mark Cuban, things looks okay for TBD

Hey guys, I just got this email from Mark Cuban. Im sure if you've emailed him, many of you will get the same.

if enough people call their cable and sat companies and sign up for HDNet
because of it, we would look at doing new eps

* i know its a lot to ask, I mean, signing up for additonal channels is huge, but it's probably only a few extra dollars each month. And, he never said they would pick the show up. He just said he'd air the unaired episodes but that could give it hope for a second season. I'll try looking into prices for HDNET. But if we all do decide to get HDNET, when we order it we need to state that TBD is the reason we are subscribing.

You must work for HDNet LOL
IrishWhiskey
I got a similar response...might have been a copy/paste actually. I don't work for HDnet smile.gif
steffi32086
hahaha nope dont work for them either but i think that this gives hope for TBD for a second season. i was extremely happy when i recieved an email from him this morning. even if it was copy/paste, it was still better than an automated repsonse. he actually responded relevant to my email instead of saying that because of so many emails they are unable to respond to everyone ::cough cough NBC:: hahaha. but i think we should continue to show support for TBD, because according to the original poster who found Mark Cuban, driftwood22, Cuban is paying attention to us fans online.

OMG I have HDNet! If Mark Cuban can pull this off I will be so happy. If anybody can, he can. You guys have just made my day.

So what is it?

HDnet is a high definition network available on DirectTV. I believe they actually have a couple of channels...movies, sports and television programming...once you buy the HD package from DirectTV.

Please know, you do not have to have an HD ready television to have HDnet.

I was with Comcast for 7+ years and had so many problems with them. As soon as it was available, I picked up DirectTV and I LOVE it...have had it for 2 1/2 years and not a single problem yet. In other words, I highly recommend it (and it's been cheaper for me too...even got a free DVR/Tivo)

Anyway, I've sent an email and hopefully we'll get somewhere with it! But, I'm still in with working on other networks as well. Good luck everyone!

Fantastic!!

I just posted something similar in another thread. Some information about HDnet:

I have HDnet through my DirectTV, however I do believe it is also availabel through Comcast and other cable/satellite providers. You can find out at the hdnet website here: http://www.hd.net/subscribe.html Although this is a "High Definition" network, you do not have to have an HD ready tv as some people may think (or providers may lead you to believe). My HDnet was a part of my total DirectTV "package" so I'm not sure what the breakdown is for how much the network itself costs a month, but I know it isn't very much.

Just be sure that when you call to subscribe (if you do choose to get hdnet) that you make sure they note it is because MARK CUBAN is working on getting The Black Donnelly's for HDNet. It's very important that those "buzzwords" are used.

Hope this helps! Good luck everyone! Way to stay on top of this and on fire!!
steffi32086
sure heres his email again. just make sure you tell him that if TBD is brought to HDNET, you'd subscribe because thats what hes looking for. he wants more subscriptions so if TBD is going to get him them, than he may just bring TBD back.

This is the email I recieved a response from

Mark.Cuban@dallasmavs.com

If HDnet does make new epsoides do they make thier television abailable on Itunes for those who its not possible to have HDnet (like me)

another little update...kinda....

Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback from people on here as well as other TBD fan sites about subscriptions to HDNET. So I emailed Mark Cuban again. Here's what I said:

Dear Mr. Cuban

I am sorry to bother you again. I'm sure you're very busy but I've discussed this matter on NBC.com with fellow Black Donnelly's fans and also The Firecracker Lounge (The Black Donnelly's fans website) and many people are very interested in subscribing to HDNET because of The Black Donnelly's. We thank you for considering bringing TBD to your network and know that we are fighting for this shows survival. Any info on this show and your network would be much appreciated.

Thank you again for your time,

Stefanie Feichtinger

**If I get a response, I'll let you all know. I just wanted to keep you guys updated.

HDNet is a network of channels in High Definition. It was made for High Definition televisions but you do not have to have a high def tv in order to get full enjoyment from HDNet (don't let anyone...including your service providers...convince you that you do). I am not sure of the total cost of HDNet as it came with a full package through DirectTV, but I know it was relatively small...in other words, it wasn't a big leap from what I was paying before I got the HD to when I got the HD.

I like that HDNet has a movie channel where they play older as well as newer movies but all commercial free. It's still a growing network, so they don't have a lot of television programming to choose from as of yet, but they're getting there. You can learn more about that here: http://www.hd.net/

Hope that helps!

Yes it is a High Def channel! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! JUNE, BY GOD THAT IS IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!! I've had to watch the internet episodes at my sisters and NOW I CAN WATCH ON MY BIG SCREEN HD TV. There is a God.
kerriganomalley
OMG, I'm so excited that they're going to air all the episodes! However, Comcast does not have HDNet available. sad.gif I have to figure out what to do now!!! D*mn Comcast!

This is awesome for TBD, only problem for me is my cable company(Comcast) doesn't have HDNet!!!!! WTF am I going to do now? I'm going to have to make a new friend.......one who can get HDNet.

Even if I can't watch it right away, I'm so incredibly thrilled TBD is gaining interest. I can tell you this right now, if there is a second season, I don't care who I have to befriend, threaten or kill, I WILL be watching it wherever it airs.

I might actually change to DirectTV if it means I can watch TBD, if I can get it out here in the boonies. I'm literally less than a mile from the end of the cable line.
