rolleyes.gif I think Stanley Tucci is a great addition to ER, loved other stuff he's been in before and glad they've added him to the cast. Looking forward to next season with him in it! I think it will bring some fresh air into the ER!!!

WOW!!!

I think his character is interesting, and is a good addition to the cast. Much different than Luka's character for sure! But, I work at a hospital, and you definitely see doctors like this a lot, especially in the ER. So, it's nice to see a variety of personalities. I look forward to seeing the development of his character though in the next season.

Stanley Tucci Stars in The Lovely Bones

Peter Jackson has decide on Stanley Tucci for the pivotal role of killer George Harvey in his adaptation of Alice Sebold's best seller The Lovely Bones. According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations are currently being ironed out.

The story revolves around fourteen-year-old Susie, a girl who has been raped and killed by her next-door neighbor. Susie narrates the story as she looks down on her family from heaven.

Rachel Weisz and Ryan Gosling also star in the film. The Lovely Bones will begin principle photography this coming October in both Pennsylvania and New Zealand.

I love his character on ER, I think he'll be good for the show as the new chief.

I love this character too, but is he really here to stay? He is always listed as a "guest star" in the credits. This usually means his role is temporary. sad.gif

These guest stars over the past 14 seasons have tended to last about 10-15 episodes or less. You can never tell though. John L (the New Yorker who played in Summer of Sam) was a guest and touted as ER Chief and lasted about that long. We'll have to see how it plays out...

I like him too. I always liked the actor too and I can't wait to see how his character progresses.

Stanley Tucci = love. He is one of the best characters to grace this show in recent years, and that's only based on his... what... 3 or 4 appearances? smile.gif He's just great.

I must admit I didn't like him at all in the first episode, but after the last few, with the drama with his son and now with Abby, he's fantastic. Stanley Tucci is an excellent actor.

Hey - just wanted to check and see if any of you know if Stanley Tucci is coming back or if he's done. Anyone know?
Thanks!
GalaxyDuster
As far as we know, he's gone. But you know this show... it could change.
BlondeQTAngel007
They just started filming "The Lovely Bones" where he plays the guy who rapes and kills the little girl. Thats why I'm guessing he had to leave. I cant wait to see that movie, I love the book.

I'm really going to miss you, Mr. Tucci. You are one hot monster.
