Full Version: What I've learned here

Losing Crossing Jordan was painful...and I feel compelled to write because it's nice to know that so many others are so disappointed.

I've learned a lot from this group here. You're all so passionate and eager to gain the attention of the NBC executives who so far seem to be failing to address the issues. That's such a shame. It used to be such a wonderful network. Right now, it seems to be struggling--with very low ratings and in 4th place. It used to be number 1! Remember the old taglines: Proud as a peacock? Must-see tv? Does NBC have a tagline now?

You're all very clever and resourceful. Who would have thought that as a team you could dig up so much information--the executives email, snailmail, and even telephone numbers; the sponsors contact information (and within 1 day of the SEASON finale); and information from the CBS president, who so very graciously addressed the disappointed Jericho fans and suggested that they will get resolution for their show (lucky, lucky them. At least they have that!).

You're all so willing to put so much effort into saving the show. I've never seen so many people so willing to call, write actual letters and post cards, write emails, fax, mail tissues...There is strength in numbers and in staying power! Keep it up! I'll join in, too!

I'm so glad to see that the sponsors respond. Even if all the responses haven't exactly been favorable, they have read your letters...that's really great! Even if it hasn't had the desired effect, you've got to figure that even just several letters of the same taste and tone will probably at least subconciously affect their future decisions.

It's all so inspiring. Crossing Jordan was so wonderful, and it's so sad to see it go. I can only hope that these actions and efforts will bring some sort of closure for the show and at least a message from the NBC executives!

The patient: Crossing Jordan
Cause of Death: Failure to advertise in conjunction with a fatal timeslot.
Manner of Death: Homicide by NBC.

What a really great post! It was very well said and I'm glad that someone has been impressed with our efforts. Too bad NBC doesn't seem to be taking notice.

Well, NBC is just trying to save itself. I say good luck but it's probably not gonna happen.

I think they've pretty much sunk themselves.

Yeah. Me too. I should post what Tim Kring said to me. But if I do I'll do it on Lissy's board. I posted something about what he said to me there already.
