After a show ends, with either a season or even series finale, doesn't the network generally continue airing repeats of the show in that time slot?

I'm a bit worried. I checked tvguide.com, and there's no CJ for at least the next two Wednesdays. This week NBC is re-airing a Saturday Night Live special, and next week, it's two straight hours of Most Outrageous Moments. You have to be kidding! Our show gets cancelled, and then we don't even get to watch repeats of what was (in my opinion) the very best season!?

Maybe I'm over-reacting, maybe there's just a two-week break. I'm not exactly an expert at programming protocol. Anybody know?

I'll be so upset if I have to wait for A&E to air "Post Hoc", it was my favourite episode!

A&E already airs the past eps. Hopefully you get that channel!

With the way NBC has treated CJ, I very much doubt they have any plans on showing re-runs. I think they are done with it. A&E will without a doubt show season 6. I never get tired of watching CJ on A&E. smile.gif

I think shows that are cancelled usually don't have their reruns aired. It seems like networks use reruns as schedule fillers and kind of as reminders, and they generally run the season finale just before the new season starts...so it wouldn't surprise me if Crossing Jordan isn't run at all.

That really saddens me, because there was a time when NBC ran Crossing Jordan twice a week to fill empty slots.

Well I just checked tvguide.com again, and NBC is airing "Scary Movie" on Wednesday, June 6th. That makes three consecutive Wednesdays with no CJ in its normal time-slot.

CJ has always earned a respectable amount of viewers, even up against American Idol. Still, the network is just flushing the show away, and pretending it never existed. I can't understand.

It makes me wonder, how much longer will this website and message board be up-and-running. I hope it isn't just shut down without a decent warning, much like the show was...

*Sigh* Airing Scary Movie instead of CJ.......now that is depressing.

yes, that is depressing. i find it even more depressing that they cancel CJ, but keep the horrible shows like deal or no deal and bring on more reality and game shows. at least if they're going to cancel a wonderful show like CJ, than replace it with something equally as wonderful! or at least half as wonderful. DonD, 1 v. 100 and thank god you're here aren't half as wonderful as CJ combined.

I'm very disappointed in the lack of reruns. I made the grand mistake of turning a friend of mine into a CJ fan this season; she was looking forward to catching up on this season (which she loved) with reruns. No such luck.

Here's hoping A&E comes to the rescue.

And--being an eternal optimist: dare I hope that the CJ producers will deign to release the DVDs?

I certainly don't believe for a second that NBC will bother showing any Season Six reruns; I hope that the entire run of the show isn't heading for oblivion and the trash can, and that there won't even be a production of DVDs.

Hey NBC. Dont ya'll owe the fans some re-runs at least? Why should we have to turn to another source when ya'll the one who cut it off?? HMM?? I think during summer ya'll should hit up the fans with some Crossing Jordan. From season 1 maybe?? Sounds like a plan ya'll should jump on that like quick, fast.
