But I agree, there is no reason why we ought to bar people with a different opinion of the show from expressing it here, as long as they do so respectfully and (hopefully) intelligently. If I am not mistaken, it seems that this board in particular functions as a feedback mechanism for the show. It would therefore be counterproductive to ban criticism.

Well - everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't let the negative threads get me down. I LOVED the finale and the series and will continue to do so.

So if the haters want to post - oh well. I don't think that everyone is a hater that posts something negative though. Some people didn't get what they wanted out of the show - but you can't please everyone. I think that there will always be 'supposed plotholes' or things that people feel 'didn't add up' - it's just the way things work in tv/movie land.

I for one think that it was a brill end to vol. 1. Sure, I would have loved to see an all out brawl between Sylar and Peter. But since Sylar would have kicked Peter's azz simply because Sylar has more knowledge of his abilities and control - it would have been a short fight.

I'm more for - Sylar and Peter will meet again. Peter will have learned more and will be able to hold his own. Now THAT is a fight I'd like to see.

Overall - love the series, love the characters, loved the finale. Can't wait to see more. Now I'm off to watch the commentary.

Omg people. This is a discussion forum. Where people discuss theories, opinions, and whatever else. I was one of the people that was unhappy with the finale. It doesnt mean i hate the show. That doesnt qualify me as a hater. And if i find things wrong with the episode(flaws, mistakes) it doesnt mean im trying to be annoying. Heroes is my favorite show and its fun to critique it down to the very core. We analize, overanalyze, and come up with stupid outcomes and ideas all the time.

Deal with it. Because its not going to change. There will always be people around with different opinions than yours.

What is really sad about all this, is the fact that MOST OF the people complaining about the show are only doing it in a negative way, no constructive opinions at all.

And there's where i ask myself.. ok, you don't like the show, and for you it's crap...and you're posting on these boards.. that only leaves two options about what you're:


1. You're a liar, because you're actually going to WATCH the show you pretend to hate.

2. You're someone who doesn't have a better thing to do (like me these couple of days, but i have the justification that i have a cold and i'm in bed), and you thought of entertainment is to come here to bash the show because it wasn't flashy as you expected.

Just because certain people didnt like the finale doesnt mean they are "bashing" the show or "haters"...godddd, u immediately classify people just because they are opinionated. Obviously they watch the show because they are fans. and if a show disappoints them they have the right to critique it and list their feelings. Critiquing doesnt always have a positive outcome but you can't just degrade someone and categorize people as bashers because they dont have the same opinions as u.

i find it amusing that so many people say the finale sucked. and had so many nitpicks. there seems to be this "I WANT IT ALL, I WANT IT BIG AND BETTER AND THE BEST AND THE MOST EXCITING AND END-ALL-BE-ALL KNOCK DOWN OH-MY-GOD-THIS CAN'T GET ANY MORE SHOCKING...." mentality. ridiculous. these writers know what they're doing. leave some stuff to the imagination, people. all these people have just begun to develop their abilities. and to come in contact with each other. they've had a very short time in the scheme of things to come to grips with what real people will most likely never experience. in comic books they have mutant training schools and danger rooms, etc. you don't see nikki going to junkyards and heaving cars for practice or nathan racing f-15s to get his speed up.

that being said, i think that everyone is entitled to their opinion. and if you wanna hate, then hate. i think there are enough fans out there to keep the show going and then some.

it's a discussion board. thus, posters will have differing opinions. if said posters make their posts in an intelligent and non-inflammatory way, why should they be censored? homogeneous thought is not good for this board at all. i can understand that the OP was frustrated by what he sees as attacks on his favorite show...but a lot of people love this show and were disappointed by the finale. that's what disappointment is...expectations not being met. it speaks to how high quality and exciting the rest of the season was for these people.

Would you believe from my teeth! The Amalgams have Mercury in them! in June 2005 I went to a dentist who but Amalgam in my mouth! I slowly got sick! Now I am having them removed and have to do months of Chelation Therapy Augh! I see the dentist tomarrow so I will be on the board for a while with nothing else to do!

Why should those topics be merged? They have nothing to do with each other.

Should we only have two threads? "Heroes Lovers" & "Heroes Haters". Why not just run one continuous thread called "The Unified Heroes Thread" and that's all we're allowed to post in.

Lol, if I were Tim Kring...ahmm, I probably just wouldn't read the boards and have someone else read it and tell me the stuff that seemed relevant and sensible (whether "good" or "bad") that I might adjust the script accordingly...if "necessary". Either that, or I'd take breaks in reading time, so I wouldn't break my computer screen, reading all the idiotic *bleep* Personally, I don't believe in freedom of speech for stupid people (mind you, ignorant and stupid are two different things)...I think they should be shot, lol. But hey, if you don't like what I like and you have a logical reason or an emotional reason that you understand the root of...hey that's fine.

I like the show a lot. I'm glad the season is over because I was getting exhausted by running to watch every episode and all the waiting, and I'm seriously considering not watching the second season while it's in progress, just waiting for the dvds instead. I do think it's overrated though, but yeah...it's great, and I do hope that it wins an award or few.
