Full Version: Simone's Power

I noticed in the episode with Simone that everyone she talkks to tends to be very honest with her...sometimes a little too honest. One of the many example would be Peter mentioning something about "if I ever wanted to ask you out". When she is around Peter she too seems very honest.

I believe that she had the power of making whoever she was speaking with tell the truth. Whether they just wanted to have that potential for a plot twist or she really did have it but her death was better for the story i dont know, but if you watch the episodes with her in them i think you will agree. It is possible that with her contact with Peter they decided to not bring this power to light because it would have made for some very difficult writing with Peter for the rest of the show. However, has anyone ever really lied to Peter?

The season finale his borther Nathan doesn't divulge the entire trurth to Peter. Peter has to read his mind to hear his true intension are. Yes everything would of come full circle in Peter's dream if Simone had a power. I just believe Simone gave Peter the power to love.

i think peter already had the power to love. its kind of real and cruel how everyone who is either not that powerful in genetic or politic sense, gets snuffed... real life imitates art anyone???????

simone, i dont think has any powers. she is a classic example of the kind of normal human beings that would make it easier for ppl with powers to survive . simone doubts isaac but not peter and when she realizes, she jumps to help. her power is ability to win over cynicism. quite powerful that way, she was.

Empathy and giving love is totally different from being loved. Who in Peter’s life was giving him love? I think I could of typed it better but I meant the love he was given from her.

I was just thinking about this last night. Now that we know that her father had some kind of a power, the odds are pretty good that she may have had a power, since it seems to run in families. Look at at what we alrewady know:

1. Both Nathan and Peter have powers, their mother has some type of power, and there have been hints that their father had a power as well.

2. Claire has a power, and both of her biological parents have powers.

3. Micah, Niki, and DL all have powers.

How can she have the power of honesty when she herself was carrying on two relationships simultaneously?

If she or her father had a power than it could have been the dreaming power!

S/he said "i think peter already had the power to love.", which is basically giving love, not being loved.

I think s/he was referring to what Charles said about Peter. He said that Peter is empathic, compassionate, and that his heart has the ability to love unconditionally. And that is why Peter should be the one to save the world.

I don't think simone had a power.

And the conversation Charles & Angela had on the roof my show that.
He told Mrs. Petrelli that when they have it you'll know, it's just a look they have.

That just means when they figure out that they have it. There was such an odd focus on Simone though, I feel like they almost just killed her to prove that she has the power to come back.
But she didn't come back.

When was it hinted that Father Petrelli has powers? When he was in the military with Linderman it seemed as if he didn't have any powers. Or did I miss something?

Linderman talks how his father was one of them and someone with great power. He also had major depressive disorder and hindrances like that are common in evolved humans.
