You liked it? Good; explain why you liked it. What was your favorite part? Were you on the edge of your seat? Can you wait paitently for Season Two to come out? What's your view on the very subtle hints dropped by the writers?

Discuss all reasons why you 'LIKED' the finale here.

----------------------

I see a lot of threads with people criticizing the finale and I think that's wonderful, but I just thought it would be cool to have one thread that just discusses what we did like.

I, for one thought that the finale made great references to previous episodes in the season. The showdown had some wonderful similarities to Peter's original dream. It was similarly deserted. The way Claire ran in and apologized to Peter was good. The new encounters of the characters like Peter and Nikki's family was good too.

I liked Peter's line, "It didn't take" when Sylar said he already killed him. This clearly references Claire's line to Jackie when she asked about her being grounded in Homecoming.

I also thought Peter's face plant into his dream was good because it was so similar to when he ate concrete after Nathan met up with him in Texas which led into Peter's original dream about the being the bomb.
Johnny Angel
I really liked the resolution of Hiro saving Ando and telling him how brave he was even though he didn't have any "powers". That was very satisfying. Ando was out of harm's way back in Japan.
And I always thought Nathan would redeem himself after being seduced by the Dark Side. That was good to see.

I liked the reunited DL/Nikki/Micah families and Noah Bennett reuniting with Clair (hope his wife and son are OK as well).
SoulandBone
I liked almost everything

I would have loved just to know what really happened with Sylar escaping, and at least some reactions to his escape.

I liked the Ando/Hiro resolution

The whole Sylar going : "You're the villain Peter, I'm the Hero"

Nathan finally helping his brother

Nikki smashing Sylar.

Claire running from the Petrellis

Charles Devaux talking with Peter.

And of course the introduction of season 2.

It was a great episode. Those who didnt liked it are those who go to see the same hollywood movies, because they have a lot of special effects and explosions etc etc

I would be really happy if they finally leave this show and these boards. Heroes would do just great without em
Itsgood2bebadd
I liked How Niki/DL got back together.

I liked how Mikah made a friend like him.

I liked how claire can go home with Noah lol

I liked how Nathan stepped up

I liked how Sylar is still alive(bc i like sylar)

I liked how Ando said "Hiro, you look bada$$" lol

I did not like how Matt might die...He was not wearing a vest bc he was bleeding a lot.
DL wont die..i think i remember seeing him in a hospital bed somewhere.
Otuye
I thought the first 50 is minutes were excellently done! (The rest come use some work, but that's a discussion for elsewhere. smile.gif)

I liked how Sylar didn't just go off trying to explode things, but took time to do some research (Forward-search?) with Isaac's painting ability.

I really liked the way the episode picked up the thread with HRG, Mohinder, Molly, and Parkman. I had kind of hoped that Parkman would step in somehow and protect Molly again. "..and no one," shoving Bennet's gun down. "Is going to hurt you."

I liked Molly's insinuation that there's someone out there worse than the boggie man, but it almost sounded like he might just scare her because he can see her, and she's not used to it. Makes me wonder what his power is, though.

I definitely liked the Candice/Nikki showdown, and especially how Jessica pops in at the last minute and tells her to fight back and encourages her...good stuff.

I liked Hiro's way of rescuing Ando...Sylar expected him to stop time, and he just teleports and get's him away....

Overall, very well done!

I loved seeing niki smack sylar with the parking meter, and then walk away like it was nothing, would love to see that against at some point in the future.

It was great to finally see Niki/Dl reunite with their son, Niki and DL were not initially characters that I liked, but this Storyline allowed them to grow on me and now i really do like them.

I Also liked seeing Niki comes to grip with herself and seem to finally accept the powers instead of fighting Jessica like she did earlier, she seems to finally get that its who she is, and I like that a lot

It was great to see nathan come in and fly peter off, even though we could all see it coming, its nice to know that he did what was right, even if it wasn't exactly what he thought was best, or more appropriately, what others though was best.

Its great that Micah and Molly seem to have bonded, having just the one kid on the show was kind of sad, it will be interesting to see how the friendship develops next season.

And finally, I like the ambiguos fate of the characters (sylar, peter, nathan, parkman) granted, some may say its annoying that nothing about them was truly wrapped up, but if everything was wrapped up in a concrete way...why would we want a second season?
stimjunkie
i really liked that nikki's character is coming into her own and out of the annoying "movie of the week" schizophrenia.

i loved when micah made the elevator work.

when claire jumped out the window, that was awesome. her saying, "i already have a family" was predictable, but oh so satisfying.

when bennett told peter his first name...we've been waiting for it all season and i repeated in a loud voice, "NOAH!" when he said it.

parkman getting drilled by his own bullets. just an awesome use of sylar's abilities and it couldn't have happened to a more annoying character (although he's beginning to grow on me).

when nikki slammed sylar in the gut with the parking meter. i thought it was on like donkey kong! and then she got told to sit down by peter
stang56k
I like how they left so much potential for a great rest of the series...

I think Sylar has good intentions and everyone was misunderstanding him... he was trying to stop Peter.. maybe for the wrong reasons but he was trying...So i would not be surpirsed if we see him as a neutral character, if not even a good guy perhaps

Introducing a new stronger villian.. he obviously is quite powerful with muliple abilitys to be able to sense Molly lookin on him... I referenced earily that it reminds me of "the all seeing eye" from Lord of the Rings tongue.gif

A like the fact all the main charaters finally came together, even though the circumstances were a bit rough.

I want to see Jack Coleman nominated for an Emmy. It was his best acting yet. he has developed such a multidimentional character with Noah that he could have a spinoff all by himself. Hopefully when Heroes ends, they will spin off into a series called Noah that continues this character.
Phloridian
What I liked about the finale, and really the whole season, was the pacing.

What I mean, (and I compare to LOST), is that we learned a lot about the characters and the mythology but were not left with too many really gaping plot questions. Sure what Sylar does with brains is interesting, but not critical to the story.

Kudos to the writers who kept the answers coming faster than the questions!!

Noah is a badass, Definally one of my favorite characters...even without a power...Hes strong and has good judment .. just think if he had Peters powers... he'd use them so much better... tongue.gif

Funny he's one of my favorites too, but a spin-off with a guy who doesn't have a power would lose a lot of the escence of the show, don't you think?
magnumbbrown
First of all let me just say that I missed the actual airing of the episode on nbc, got home at 4AM and searched for an hour just to find the episode online.

I didnt see this expressed on this thread yet but I really liked that the heroes were legitmately drawn to NYC and the final showdown for different yet totally understandable reasons. With all the writer bashing on this board (some deserved) I think we need to clap it up that they weren't all there for the exact same reason cause that would have been boring.

I liked Parkman saving Molly again, kind of cheesy totally predictable but well done.

Mr. Bennett/ HRG finally has a name and for some reason it seems to give him an identity as well as make him even more likable. I also liked that he was dead serious about keeping Claire safe...we saw a man on a mission.

I was so happy that Ando didnt die. He seemed so unlike Ando when he found out he'd die and he was right Hiro was really turning into a bad *** and thats Awesome!

"didn't I kill you"......"It didn't take" Peter is the man I don't care what anyone says.

I liked the fact that Nathan finally showed up and helped out it only took him 22 hours and 59 minutes to realize what he was supposed to do.

Even more than that I liked seeing Peter actually go through the effects of being the bomb. I also liked that Claire didnt shoot him...I was a little concerned about shooting Peter in the head...not so sure that the bullet would have been lodged in his head as I was that it would completely blow his brains out.

I didnt like that Sylar got away but I love that the writers used his escape to make us talk...especially with the image in his blood.

And finally the season 2 teaser. I want an actual preview but this will do.

Overall it was 75% satisfying for me...had some issues that I will post in another thread but not too shabby.
purplemonkeysexgod69
Peter and Nathan dynamics and chemistry were excellent.

HRG's character is awesome and has a lot of depth. I'm glad they chose to keep him alive.

Ando and Hiro are always superb.

Nice touch keeping Sylar's fate in limbo.

I thought the episode was well written. Good job writers. And please, more hot chicks next season. They are cheaper than special effects and will increase your target audience 10 fold.

Over and out.
scififreak718
I loved that nikki finally regained control of herself and was able to use her ablities.
The smashing sylar with the parking meter was hiliarious.

I too loved peter's line "It didn't stick." When sylar said didn't i kill you twice?" Peter has officially joined the group of superheros that will never die(shoutout to buffy and Dr.Jackson).

The scene with charle and peter was incredible.

I loved it when ando told hiro that he looked like a bad *** and i'm glad that they let ando live. I also liked the fact that hiro teleported ando back to the company where their journey offically began.

My favorite line from the episode was nathan's "are you ready?" the way that he was so calm throughout the whole ordeal was fantastic.

I cried at the end of the episode. The thing is... The ending was uspetting but not enough where it would make me cry. The thing that did it for me was the music. That was a great original score.

The best part of the episode was the end when we got to see the eclipse again.

he definitely has a power....he always "has a plan".

Only thing I didnt like is Sylar living. Everything else was perfect.
broli1111
What I like most about the finale, is that many it wasn't just about people with super powers that became "Heroes", that was incredible.

I mean you have Ando willing to die fighting Sylar, and even tolled Hiro to chose killing Sylar over saving him.

Then HRG stepping in to help Peter, and then tries to fight Sylar. What an important role he played!

Even Mohinder became a Hero, he prevented HRG from shooting Molly, he helped her escape the building, and he tried to help DL.

I love all of that, and I hope those characters are back next season.

I also liked how they had Nathan sacrifice his own life to save the city.

I really like what they did with Parkman, he protected Molly from HRG, he even fought Sylar, that was so cool seeing him run out and shoot him.

It was cool when Molly called him her hero, that was sweet!

Even Nikki became a Hero, she fought Sylar, and seeing her wack him with a parking meter was cool.

That's what I liked most, how so many characters became Heroes, I guess that's why the shows called Heroes!

besides the 'final showdown'...i think it was all fantastic!! I think the best line is a tie between "It didn't take" and "Hiro, you look bad a$$".
lets see...i'm really happy the show didn't just end with parkman being taken to the hospital and all that jazz, it would have been too depressing. The beginning of the second season was AWESOME!!
...oh, and one thing: did anyone else see the McDonald's commercial w/ the guy who plays Ando??
Overgrown_Kid
The things I really liked:

Hiro and Ando's interaction in Japan.

Hiro saving Ando by tricking Sylar. Sylar thinks Hiro is going to attack, but Hiro's goal is to save Ando.

Nathan doing the right thing in the end. I always suspected he would.

Niki seems to finally be integrating her personalities and coming to terms with herself.

Molly: "That doesn't work."
Micah: "Yes, it will."

Niki smacking Sylar with the parking meter.
Peter: "I've got this. Go back to your family."

Bennett finally has a first name.

Clair: "I've already got a family."

I liked the fact that they left as many questions as they answered! cool.gif I liked the recurring themes of it all! rolleyes.gif I like that Micah has a friend in Molly. wink.gif I like that Niki Accepted herself. blink.gif I liked that the coarchroach came climbing out of the sewer were Sylar disappeared! ohmy.gif

Most of all I liked that I HAVE to watch it again!!! laugh.gif

This ep. was pretty great... Of course we can complain and nit pick... but we aint writing this... and most of the complaining crowd probably couldnt have done it better...

Anyway, right into it...

The Direction was awesome, the camera angle were very comicbook-esque... I really liked the whole sequence starting with peter passing out then the cam zooms in from high and creeps up to him in fast motion... and ending with the cam turning sideways and pete looks to the left which to us was straight up to views... Brilliant sequence. Also the shot revolving around that lil "square" (the setting with the red stairs) and the VS. shot with Pete and Sylar facing off... (Classic comic image).

Noah! we know his name! Yay, HGR is the shiznit...

Nikki and Jessica merge!!! Yay now she's super-powered AND not crazy!!!

Molly teases Season 2's baddie! Nice.

NYC is still here!!!

The main story arc is completed and they gave a semi-cliffhanger!!! I have it and Im eating it too (the cake)!!!

Heroes battle royal! Not what we expected, but we got one, and me likey!!!

Hiro time travels to Fuedal Japan right im the mix between some baddiies and Hiro's legendary great granpappy!!!!!!! COOOOOOOOOOOOOL

And finally, what made this SEASON clssic for me... they re-introduced the one element that I thought they forgot from the openning scene in the pilot!!!!!

THE ECLIPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stimjunkie
whoa! it makes a bit of sense to me now...why sylar didn't really do anything when hiro charged him. bear with me:

hiro was faced with the same situation with ando...instead of engaging sylar, he teleported to ando and then jumped again back to japan. i think sylar assumed hiro was about to do the same trick...this time, peter was on the other side of sylar, and hiro was in the same position. sylar was looking for the same trick, but instead, he got a chest full of steel. i still think as powerful as sylar is, that wouldn't have been a problem to stop hiro, but i can see him assuming hiro was doing the same thing he did with ando.
Brookie07
I've gotta say last night's episode was AWESOME!!!

My favorite highlights:

Finding out Bennett's name was Noah. Coincidentally, I was laying in bed with my 1 year old sleeping son, (also named....NOAH!) when the revelation came! I was like YES how cool is that?! What an excellent name choice...hehehe biggrin.gif

Who didn't love Ando calling Hiro a bad a**?? I'm really relieved to see that his character wasn't killed off.

Niki clubbing Sylar with the parking meter. I have to admit, though I have never liked the character, that one scene makes me want to have her stick around.

The whole Peter/Charles exchange was incredible. Definitely some interesting tidbits in that sequence I'd love to rewatch.

Sylar's seeming death and flash of events in his eyes (I noticed some of his victims screaming, but not much else. Need to rewatch that too.) And the reference to the cockroach again was pure brilliance.

Peter getting in a few good licks at Sylar--finally!--and enjoying it. I also loved the line--"It didn't take" too!
Benfea
Micah and Molly were so cute together! They gotta give us more of that!

Oh, and the final battle with Sylar was pretty cool all the way around.
heromommy
The more I think about it the more I really liked the episode.
Highlights for me:

Peter figuring out that Nathan may not be the perfect brother to look up to.

Nathan figuring out Mama ain't always right!

HRG's first name!! I was really worried that they would kill him off after revealing his name, just as a bit of irony, but thank you they didn't!!! Jack Coleman should be nominated for an Emmy!

Nikki knocking the crap out of Sylar with the parking meter...classic!!

Peter reunited with the brother he thought he had...the hero he has always looked up to.

Very cool episode.

DL WILL die, because remember when someone said to nikki DL is dead! Micah is dead.

That was from an alternative time line so in THAT timeline Sylar is president and DL And Micah are dead not this one
ithinkicanfly
I liked the episode in general--I liked how they answered the major questions and introduced new ones, but nothing so cliffhanger it makes you hate them for leaving you hanging for months.

I liked how they had Mohinder running around helping everyone--for some reason it just seemed funny to me that he seemed the one crossing paths with everyone in need of medical attention (and stopping to help of course--another hero).

I loved the scene with Charles Deveaux, for Peter's realization that Ma was in on the plan plus what Deveaux reveals in general. Must be pretty crushing to find out that's what your mom thinks of you though.

Favorite thing for me was the Peter/Nathan scenes. First, the let down that Nathan had already thrown in the towel and then his coming through like that, reminded me of Peter's statement to Clare that Nathan'd never let him down and made it true yet again. And I just loved how he carried him off like that.
ASQuiros
Hiro's smile when he found out he looked B.A.

"Call me Noah."

Nikki and her baseball bat.

The new interweaving of characters: Molly and Noah, Mohinder and anyone bleeding, Bennett and Peter

Sylar's life flashing in his cataracted eyes (new facet of Isaac's power?)

Hiro's battle cry when he stole Ando away from Sylar

Momma Petrelli bossing Claire around and getting away with it (particularly re: her cell phone) Is this a clue to Momma's power?

Richard Roundtree calling Peter back. Could they be related...
magnumbbrown
Also I forgot to mention the line I have been repeating since the finale aired.

When Hiro teleports to kirby plaza, He yells "SYLAR" sylar turns around and Hiro plunges the sword in Sylars chest, then like the Bad A$$ he is he says in a calm collected voice....

Ya-tta!

Loved it!
lady_an
I loved Sylar! As long as he is in the show i like everything...
kissing_star14
Personally I liked the finale but it had its flaws. The show needed some more action and more about what's happening with Claire. But it was still really good anyways the small opening part was kinda lame it could have been better. Hiro, I mean come on back in the past to meet forgot his name anyways. Maybe something like what happened to Skylar or Claire's father.
PrettyMichelle
I cheered out loud when Peter finally used his mind-reading ability to hear Nathan's not-so-nice intentions. I've been whining to my husband about that for weeks!

Plus, I just adore Nathan, and was very happy to see him take Claire's words to heart and come to help Peter.

Nicely done wink.gif
backfromeden
I agree with other posts that Noah/HRG has been one of the best charcters on the show. i really liked how his character was written in the finale - the "thank you mr. bennet", "call me noah" line was awesome! and i liked claire's confidence that her dad - her real dad as in the man who raised her - would always have a plan.

along with everyone else, i loved it when ando told hiro that he looked bad-a@@ and when nikki bashed sylar with the parking meter.

i thought it was cool when molly and micha exchanged a look as they entered the elevator, as if to say "cool, you're special too."

That was one of my most favorite parts of this show. I just LOVED the way she grabbed that meter & BAM right dead in the kisser!! Oops upside ya head, Syler. I've been waiting PAAOW!!! Woooo I love it when women can do that even if it's only on t.v. Work it Nikki, work it!!!

I Also liked seeing Niki comes to grip with herself and seem to finally accept the powers instead of fighting Jessica like she did earlier, she seems to finally get that its who she is, and I like that a lot

I think that finally Jessica can rest in peace & that Nikki IS finally free.

It was great to see nathan come in and fly peter off, even though we could all see it coming, its nice to know that he did what was right, even if it wasn't exactly what he thought was best, or more appropriately, what others though was best.

I honestly did not see this coming as a matter of fact until Claire jumped out that window, I didn't know what he was going to really going to do when the real push came to shove happened. I did start to think he was going to let the explosion happen like his mom wanted, but I'm glad I was wrong.

And finally, I like the ambiguos fate of the characters (sylar, peter, nathan, parkman) granted, some may say its annoying that nothing about them was truly wrapped up, but if everything was wrapped up in a concrete way...why would we want a second season?

I'm not real all that worried about them, especially not Peter or Sylar the others I hate to say are somewhat expendable.

At the end of everything this was the coolest episode- in my opinion!
Dr Soose
I like how the writers left a lot of doors open for the second season. Sylar could be dead, Dl, Matt, Peter, and Nathan could be dead. But maybe not.

I'm also very intriugued about Hiro's predicament.

I liked how it "bookended" the season nicely with some resolution to some of the character arc's we've watched through the season. I really liked how the whole idea of love and family permeated the whole story.

I loved how like all good serials, it asked as many questions as it answered.

But the two scenes that hit it out of the park for me were Peter's "encounter" with Charles Devereau ("How are you doing this? "Does it matter?" "It's all about love, Peter")..amazing chemistry between the two men...Roundtree really added a gentle gravity to the scene and it got my mind churning with questions and really made me want to know more like the best stories do. And Nathan's coming to his brother's aid...that whole last scene was so well played. Out of the two brothers...I think we'll see Peter again but it was Nathan that really came into his own as a "hero"...to his brother, to his daughter, to himself. Just beautiful...

When this show was first announced, I actually expected to pass on it, but a good friend who knows what I like insisted I check it out. I did by the third episode and got drawn in by the great characters. I was afraid to really get into this show, figuring it was going to be another "genre" show I'd start really wanting to see only to have it cancelled early on. I'm so glad so many folks have picked up on this great show and that the whole production from the writers to the actors and everyone in between has really gotten their game on and worked hard this year to put out a solid and interesting maiden season.

This finale has been a great coda to those efforts and here's hoping everyone's enthusiasm and good work continues onto season 2! Can't wait!
NinthWonderWielder
I just think the finale was just what it should have been. It was pretty much in line what the previous episodes have foreshadowed it to be. It made sense.

The transformation of Nathan's character from shady politician to a true hero was beautiful. The signposts from previous episodes were alluding to him as being the one who would make the tough decision to sacrifice for the greater whole. I.E. (Peter being caught by Nathan in midair in the first episode, Peter's prophetic dream where Nathan tells him "let me help you Peter... I'm not leaving you", Mother Patrelli and Linderman asking him to make a tough sacrifice to "save" the people, and possible others I may have left out...)

Nathan was Peter's hero. He looked up to him in times of trouble up to the last episode. He never gave up on him when others had already written him off as a bad guy. It was only natural that Nathan would step up and be there for Peter when he need him most.
Venar
Hi.
I'm writing this to thank the writers, actors and NBC for a great show.
I'm not a big TV watcher, in fact, i almost never turn it on. I prefer to be at my computer.
The night of the premiere, i was zaping because my wife was on the computer. And i stumble upon this cheerleader falling off a bridge. And i watched the entire show.
And i came back the next week, to see what would happen.

At first, i dissed the show a lot. I felt nothing ever happened, and that there was no action, and that the previews were overhyped.
But if nothing happened, why did i came back week after week? Because the story, characters and plot kept me coming back. I quickly realised that this was a drama show about people, and not a super-power show. Sure, the previews were still over-hyped, but the show was great.

The finale was good, i greatly enjoyed it. It had some answers, some new questions, some action, all in all very good. I'm looking forward to next year, and to the DVD set.

In closing, i wanna adress 2 things that annoy me on these forums:
First is the over-analysing. I know, i know, it's common to see this on fan-sites. But geez, it's a TV show. Sit back and enjoy it. I don't see how people asking themselves so many questions can EVER enjoy a movie or show. I mean, i like Star Wars even if the Deathstar can be blown using 1 torpedo in a ventilation shaft...

Second is the people crying for lack of action in the finale. Um. What show have they been watching this year? Heroes was never an action show. And, compared to the season, the last hour had a ton of action: Claire's escape from the Petrelli, DL and Nikki's escape, Nikki's save of her son, Hiro's save of Ando, the battle with Sylar, and Nathan's save. I mean, Nathan flew! Just that is more action then many episodes this year!

Anyways, it's just a TV show, and it had been a while since i had been looking forward to a next episode before. Thanks Heroes!

Venar, awaiting next year.
Seagryfn
Venar, I agree with you. I'm also not a big TV watcher. As the keeper of The Infallible Isaac Gallery (above), however, I am one of those people who does deeply analyze the show. Not to find fault with it, but to exalt in the richness of the plot, the story, the detail in which the disparate story lines are woven together leading to a fantastic and satisfying climax in the season finale. It delivered everything I expected, and more!

Heroes is not shallow entertainment created for shallow minds... people who want nothing more out of a show than soap opera or eye candy can go watch Gilmore Girls or Baywatch. Heroes is so much more; it is eye candy for the mind! Gene Wolfe (writer of the comic 'Sandman') said: "Good literature is that which can be read with pleasure by an educated audience, and reread with increased pleasure." ... or, in the case of Heroes, rewatched! biggrin.gif

BRAVO, Heroes! I am eagerly looking forward to Season Two.

(EDIT: My bad, "writer of" should be "writing about;" Gene Wolfe wrote the introduction to Sandman.)

I agree. I don't watch tv much myself, and actually got on to Heroes very late (during the last hiatus). I loved the show from start to finish, and while I don't feel the finale had the same intensity and mystery many of the other episodes had (mainly because all the plot lines were ending and with the way it was built up to that culmination you could see what was going to happen), it was still great to watch (3 times so far >_>)! I can't wait for season 2. Hopefully the online graphic novels will tide me over through the summer.

My fellow Heroes freaks, I have sat and watched the topics rush in like a raging river since Monday night. Many have said..."I'm disappointed", "I'm boycotting the show", "I can't believe Sylar and Peter didn't do this or that", come on people! I have pondered on this issue since Monday night, why did it end that way? Well last night I got my answer. While speaking to a friend of mine who is a Heroes fan, but not a freak like some of us, I asked her "So what did you think of the finale"? Surprisingly she said that she loved it. I was shocked, how could she love it, did I miss something? So as I left and drove off, I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that the reason the majority of us on this board were disappointed with the finale is because we have false expectations. For months we theorized, and analyzed, and examined ever detail of the Heroes story. We built up in our minds our own ending, our own finale. By the time the actual finale arrived we already had in mind how it would end and how season two will begin. The cause of our disappointment is nothing more than our own false expectations. I guarantee that if you ask another person who watches Heroes, but is not into the 360 experience they will say that they enjoyed the finale. I've asked three people who all love Heroes, but don't do the whole 360 experience and all said that they loved the finale. Now my advice for us here on the board, don't boycott Heroes, its the best hour of television there is and its the shows first season. I guarantee that by this time next year we will all be extremely satisfied with the finale of volume 2!

This is also something else I've said regarding the Sylar/Peter fight:

I know everybody wanted a great battle between Peter and Sylar but I mean being that this is the first season how great of a battle was there going to be? I mean the only defensive power Peter has is telekinesis which Sylar is much better at. He got Niki's power at the end of the battle. Also if he absorbed Sylar's freezing and all that, he wouldn't know how to use it so the battle would be really one sided, unlike the battle in the future. Future Peter is a lot more experienced in battle than Past Peter, because with that new Future all the SGs basically had to consistantly fight for their lives. Present Peter isn't a fighter and never has been and Sylar really never had to fight either he just kind of always gotten his way because of his powers or him being sneaky, but he never had to fight. So this is basically everyone's first battle

Exactly, I really believe with all the money made from season 1, that season 2 will be more successful with better special effects and with the addition of Heroes: Origins I really think that will bring more fans to the table. Face it, present Peter is a wuss compared to Future Peter, there was never going to be a Neo vs Anderson like fight in its first season. We will just have to wait for Volume 2.

Not ruining things for yourself by being a good viewer is a valuable skill.

I've been not ruining things for myself for years. Any M.Night movie, The Usual Suspects, Fight Club.

You don't have to not be "a freak" or not follow it closely or not theorize to do it. You just have to keep those thoughts seperate and turn them off when it's time to watch. Same principle as not metagaming in RPGs.

I just wish the people who did ruin it for themselves would not create all new topics to flood the board when there are plenty of topics their posts belong in.
