This was posted in the Courier-Journal (Louisville) (It's one of those Q&A articles)

Dear Mr. Inman: Whatever happened to "The Black Donnellys" (maybe I was one of few who liked it) and "Drive"? -- J.L., via e-mail Dear J.L.: Both shows have been yanked from the schedule. Fox is scheduled to air two new episodes of "Drive" on July 4, and "The Black Donnellys" may show up this summer as well, but nothing official has been announced by NBC.

(Could this be in reference to HDNET? or does NBC have something else in store?) See.. the downloads from iTunes and streaming videos has to tell A NETWORK SOMETHING, right? That's why your letters and emails of support are doubly important!

BUT "may" is the word.

So, I'm sure if more people email him and ask David Inman to confirm his resources or elaborate to what he's implying.. we could get an answer?

Here's what I wrote!

Dear Inman,

Thanks for your mention about The Black Donnelly’s. Us fans are hanging out at thefirecrackerlounge.com and NBC.com (TBD boards) anxiously waiting to hear if another network is going to pick up this tremendously great show. We have been campaigning to save TBD and have contacted several networks to pick up the show. You mentioned that we might see TBD this summer. Could you elaborate on which network we may expect to see it on? Do you know if there are talks of a second season? We would love to know if our voices are being heard.

Thanks so much!

Yep! I sent him one too! We'll just have to wait and see if there is a response.

I always felt that NBC would re-air all the episodes over the summer. Maybe my instincts will be right. They could have yanked it so they could reintroduce it and they would only have to repeat the 7 episodes instead of the whole season. Keep our fingers crossed.

I hope the do reair the episodes, too! I mean they rebroadcast the SNL in the 90's special - why not TBD??

I know! I th ought it was kind of odd that they rebroadcasted the SNL special just only a week or so after it originally aired.. It makes you wonder what NBC is thinking.. It's just a mystery.

It would definitely be a treat if they did reair TBD episodes.

I also sent this email to Kristin Veitch (kveitch@eentertainment.com) from E! Online since she had some inside information previously.. maybe she can put the rumors to rest??

Hi Kristin,

I just wanted to send you a thank you for all of your support the last couple of months in regards to saving The Black Donnellys (TBD). I know, that all of the fans are appreciative of your motivation and your kind words, dubbing us the "fam base". We are still trying to perservere.

I was wondering if you knew of any other news about TBD? Whether another network would pick it up?? There has been rumors going around.. actually a lot of individuals have emailed Mark Cuban, who replies that HDNet will pick up the first season of TBD and air it beginning June 13th. I was wondering if you had any information about that?

Also, Mr. Inman from the Courier-Journal (Louisville) noted in his Q&A column, that TBD may be back in the summer, but NBC has not announced anything official yet? Here is the link to the article:

If you have any good news or bad news for us.. we would love to hear it!

Thanks so much,
c.rose
I hope a deserving network will pick this show up. I think that NBC has proven that they don't give these shows the support that they need to succeed. I can't bear the thought that this show might not have a second season, so I won't.

Thanks for posting this. I haven't gotten a reply from Mark Cuban yet but signed up for the HDNet weekly programming schedule via e-mail so it only goes through June 1. I am so pumped about this channel and seeing TBD in high def (the way it was meant to be). I will gladly write to cable companies on behalf of those of you who don't have this channel. I don't know if Mark Cuban is as rabid a TBD fan as we are but I am very encouraged by this chain of events. With re-airing all the episodes there is still hope for season 2 by gaining new viewers and fans. This is what we have worked so hard for.
