I just read the final network TV ratings for '06-'07, and TBD ended up being #83 out of 142 with 6.7 and 2.7/7 (74). If there is any consolation, TBD did better than its replacements, with Thank God You're Here coming in at #87 and the Real Wedding Crashers at #102. Interestingly, TBD came in ahead of three renewed shows: Scrubs (tied with TGYH at #87), Friday Night Lights (#95) and 30 Rock (tied with RWC at #102). For only airing a few episodes, I would say that TBD didn't do as bad as they were making it sound. Anyways, the entire list is posted at givememyremote.com if anyone is interested.

Very interesting. This makes me believe that there was something more behind the cancellation of TBD. It hasn't made sense to me from the time the cancelled it. Hopefully the new execs that were hired by NBC will take another look.

I totally agree with you. It has never made sense. If that is the case, it is better off going to another network that can handle good shows.

#83 overall, yeah that's not bad, considering it was aired during spring break when the ratings were down in the first place, and Considering they never advertised and no one tuned in. They can try to claim that people watched the pilot and turned off the show but that's just a trick. NBC aired TDB at 10:04 so that it would appear like the Heroes crowd all tuned in, but of course they just shut it off when Heroes was over. They grouped all the people who turned the show off right away into the half hour crowd.
NBC threw this show away b/c they didn't want the price tag. It didn't matter how successful it might turn out.
I don't think they wanted it to be successful. They want to get a cheap reality show and turn that into a success. Sadly b/c of Nielsen families they might be able to.

wow...not bad at all especially for a show that got pulled after a few episodes. I cant believe it beat renewed shows out. i always thought that the price was why it got pulled and that it may have been a little too graphic for network TV. I thought it was fine but the smashing of the body was pushing it a little for TV. Which is why this show should be on a cable channel preferably HBO.

I think Denis Leary Should take over The Black Donnelly's. He did good with RESCUE ME.These people had a big hit on their hands, but they didn't know how to spin it.

I'm stunned they're cancelling the following:
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Crossing Jordan
Raines
The Black Donnellys (espesially hurt with this one, of course)
Not surprised they're cancelling:
Thank God Your Here
Identity
The Real Wedding Crashers
Kidnapped
20 Good Years
Andy Barker P.I
NBC must have a lot room to bring things in and immediately through them out. Which is too bad for the creators and viewers. Has the television industry turned into a world full of what's popular for the moment and forget if it may turn into a flavor of the month?
