Needless Fake Voiceovers
Stop the Dubbing

I have enjoyed the hysterical videos (especially from newscasts and game shows) since this show first aired, but lately there have been what appear to be dubbed in voice overs (supposed to be the voice of the camera person) for home videos. They are not funny and are very irritating. They remind me of what Bob Saget used to do in the early 90's and they make me want to turn the channel. Please stop; we don't need them.

*nods* I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed they were all the same guy saying the same things. The clips are funny enough without NBC feeling they need to spice things up, and when they try to do so, all they wind up doing is making it more of an irritation to watch.

Agreed. I mean, it's obvious that it's fake, but it's still unnecesary and NOT FUNNY.

ya i totally get what your saying LOL. otherwise the show is great just ease up on the voice overs.

And to think, I thought I was the only one that found Bob Saget annoying!!!!

Comment about the show...

I enjoy funny and embarrassing videos like everyone else, tv events, real home videos, etc, etc, etc.

But seriously - what's with the AWFUL dubbing over some of the home videos? It's one thing when it's the OTHER famous home video show's hosts either providing cheesy voices, or narrative - but trying to fake people narrating is just painful. Skip that, and the show will be a much more pleasant experience.

I absolutely agree here. All the people are also annoyed by the dubbing as well. I found this amusing in the "Video Tips" on the show's page...

3. What? I Can't Hear You!
Bad audio can kill the impact of an interesting/funny/outrageous moment.

Yes, Bad Audio, including HORRID voice overs. The show has great clips, but, the dubbing does make it almost unwatchable... I have seen this topic every time I come to this board. I wish the producers or whatnot would pay heed. BUT,the show continues to do it. And, while you are at it with removing the fake voice overs, Please stop with the Laugh Tracks too. I know when it is funny. I don't need audio cues to laugh. Some added Foley/sound effect enhancements are ok, as long as it is not too much.

If you are going to dub, at least hire some good actors. They are terrible.

The voiceovers are so bad, they are funny by themselves. But they are indeed annoying!
