Full Version: OT: For the fans who are still bitter...

Yep. I'm still bitter. But that's ok. I like to take my frustrations and turn them into something positive...thus the reason I spent my week off on house projects...

Well, I've thought of a couple of things that involve writing (no surprise there). I'm still a fan of the postcard (with handwritten message on one side and CJ image on the other), email, letter...

First, it appears the Donald may be back at NBC, given consideration by the new management. I'm not so sure there's hope for CJ, but I've sent some postcards and emails to Silverman...

Here's a suggestion I hope you'll really love...
Next, it's no surprise that we (and the advertisers) think the fall schedule will flop...so what if upon cancellation of each new series (and some of the existing ones), we send out postcards, letters, emails...that remind them that they cancelled Crossing Jordan for this? I'd love to send them postcards once a month that say..."still not watching" and just sign my name. Sometimes it's fun to say "I told you so."

Another thing that might be fun for postcard messages are the demotivators at Despair.com. The demotivators are posters with business-centered sayings on them, but they're sarcastic. http://www.despair.com/viewall.html. Go there and have a good laugh. I think idiocy fits pretty nicely. The caption says something like never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel if we sit around and complain to each other, we won't be heard, but if we complain to the right people, they will eventually have to hear what we say. Maybe NBC won't hear it, but as we've seen from some of the postings, advertisers respond. And if an advertiser gets 1 or 2 negative emails/letters @ NBC, it's a blip. If they receive 50, 100, or 200...then that's more of a problem.

I think apathy fits NBC well.

If nothing else, I'm learning all about letting our voices be heard. And about protesting by walking away...

I wonder how many viewers have left NBC over CJ, Studio 60, and TBD...

I too am wondering. Well other than CJ fans I am wondering. The most NBC I've watched since CJ ended was about 4 seconds at a time while I flip past the channel. Goes to show you how much there actually is on NBC that anyone really wants to watch.

You know what's really funny...I decided I wasn't going to watch NBC, but one time, I accidentally put on NBC for the local news. When I realized what I'd done, I leapt for the television because I couldn't turn the channel off fast enough. Then I cracked up because I realized exactly how far I was willing to take the no NBC rule.
