Uh...yeah...isn't it cute that he thinks NBC is quality programming? And that they're the best brand in TV? (Hello, the highest ranked NBC show was number 30).

I could go on and on about that video, but you might want to see it yourself and comment on it.

I didn't watch the video, but Ben Silverman must really, really, really have FAITH laugh.gif if he thinks the fall line up is going to shoot them to #1. They haven't had consistent good quality shows since the 70's and 80's. Come Fall NBC will only get worse. From what I have seen on the internet, viewers from PASSIONS are also getting ready to boycott NBC, plus with CJ and Studio 60 plus talk of DAYS OF OUR LIVES going in the near future, they are only going to get worse. I keep hoping that some cable station would pick up CJ. Maybe they would get a whole new fan base being on cable. Wishful thinking! mad.gif

You know, any new exec has to show that he has faith in the company...you know spitting out the party line. He sounds so enthusiastic, but so misguided.

Just wait until they put a leash on him. I think that happened with Kevin Reilly. He was only permitted half the pilots that other networks got. From what I've read he was in charge on paper...but reality was a bit different. I wonder if that will change with Silverman.

And he's looking for the next big thing and to pull tricks out of his magic bag. Well, I hope that magic bag is bottomless, because NBC's going to need a lot of new programming when the new shows (and some of the current ones) tank next season.

I've already started sending him postcards and letters, and I'm looking forward to sending him postcards with each show's cancellation saying...see...they canceled crossing jordan for this.

the video made me want to barf. if he really thinks they're going to bring the quality of tv up with this stupid reality shows and game shows, he's gonna be the next one without a job, because pretty soon they're gonna fire him because he hasn't raised the ratings.

Yep. He kept repeating himself. If he keeps saying NBC's so great, then maybe even he will believe it.

I think we need to teach some verb tenses here. NBC was great. By was, I mean back in the 80s and 90s, and maybe early 00s, when people used to watch it. Dear Mr. Silverman, was is a verb that indicates past tense. Is represents present tense. If you say NBC is great, then that's improper tense use OR you think 4th place is the place to be.
