Anyway, does anybody know what that first song was that was used? I`m too lazy to google now (since I have to leave for work in 10 minutes) so I was hoping someone knew

Hello everyone I was just wondering does anyone know the names of the 2 songs that were playing in the background when Ashley was at those 2 partys just before the Theme Song played in the Law & Order CI episode SIREN CALL?
Thank You.
P.S. Just to note Very good episodes so far I am very impressed with Season 5 and Season 6.

I don't think the 2 songs from the 2 partys were made by Mike Post I think they are real songs but I am wondering what they are.
Does anyone know what the song names are?

Well does anyone at least know the name of the second song that plays at the second party that Ashley goes to just before she gets murdered.
Here if you guys don't know the song I am talking about here is a preview file I got from the episode:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4P0LDBM2Or can anybody tell me if this sounds like a rap song or hip hop song?

Uhm, you aren`t going to get anybody to answer quicker by posting again. If someone knows we`ll hear it. I`ll try to identify with them Tutanic again later tonight, but it didn`t work last night, so I doubt it`ll work now. And to answer your last question, I guess it`s more hip hop than rap.

Seraphina - I saw your post re: the song in Blind Spot, too, but time has been a sparse, cherised commodity for me lately. I'll make a note to go through both and see if I can help y'all out when I have a chance; that is, if no one else is able to before I can try....

That would be great if you can go through Siren Call and figure out the second song, it has to be a real one because I know that the Law & Order people only make beats but they don't make songs with words so it has to be real.
My suggestion is if you could download the song I posted and you can try to tune down the people talking and turn up the volume on the rap words we might be able to find out the title or something close to the title.

You know, given that I was reading through the board at work, I completely missed that you put up a link... okay, it was actually my being brain dead that made me miss it, but, in either case, I can't open shared files at work (sonsabitches!!), so I'll have to make a mental note to check it out at home. The song didn't spark any instant recognition, though, given that R&B (well, at least not the current largely soulless form - sometimes one or two catch my attention) and rap aren't the types of music I tend toward.
As far as the first song Seraph's after, it sounded like an original, in-the-style-of type of compostion. It seemed like it was going for a mix of a Prodigy and/or some other rave-mixed industrial leaning band. I could be wrong and it could be a real artist, but I didn't recognize who. I caught the word "illuminate", in noun form, but in performing a Google search of word in lyric form, all I keep getting are songs using it in verb tense. I'll check it out again tonight, but I'm not sure I can be much help on that one...

Hey, Seraphina;
In case I am wrong in the 'original composition' theory: See if you can get a hold of an mp3 of Illuminate from Orbital, the 12" Medicine mix (as opposed to the Medicine a capella mix). I've tried but with all the ****, 'could we trouble you to get some done please?' firewall blocks, I can't get on to any sites that might have the whole song, so I've only been able to hear the one first-minute clip from their official site, that ends before a lyric is dropped. The original Orbital track is in more of a trance style, but the Medicine mix from the extended single and the DJ's compilation has a more techno/house feel that it. I can't, for the life of me, though, pull any recall from listening to it last night to tell if that's the song. There are more mixes out there from the same extended, but the Medicine mix sounded closest to what I can remember.

..now to make the post that I actually came back online for;
Ipod - From the lyrics I was able to pick up with the volume turned up as loud as would keep me from being evicted, then performing a search, the song sounds like Movie Star Pt. 2 from Razcals featuring Shawn Desman. They've got a more, well, whatever you want to call it rap version just called Movie Star. I was able to find one site with a clip of the Shawn Desman version that had the same melody, but the mix on LOCI sounded a bit slower and more laid back. Problem is that it seems to be a pretty local Canadian crew (erm heerrrrmmmm,
niiiice step toward guaranteeing that Cannuck airtime), so, a bit earlier before I had to restart my computer, I couldn't get a hold of any better clips to try to find the same version. Here's what I did find though:
http://www.shawndesman.net/audio/Rascalz%2...ovie%20Star.mp3Hope this helps...

Yeah the first song ALLUMINATI I just got it thanks alot for that but as for the other song it isn't from the Rascalz because I downloaded part 1 and part 2 and it isn't them.
Well there is another part of words from the lyrics that we might have missed so if you could please tell me what the artist is saying after he sings "I CAN TELL YOU MOVIE STAR, JUST WHAT A GREAT FACE YOU ARE" and just before he sings "I CAN TELL YOU MOVIE STAR AGAIN" again.
The words I am wondering what the artist is singing is what he sings after the girl says "SAKY SPARKLING" so if you can tell me that we might be able to find out what the song name is.

*big fat cyberhuggle for Naydi* It`s so frustrating when you can`t find a song! Or can`t hear what exactly they are saying.

Hi-dee, I've got that episode on at least one of my DVRs (

i hope), but haven't watched it yet being a Goren and Eames gal. I'll make a note to run through the episode this weekend to see if I can help out on the song at all...

Hey, collin;
I took a skim through the episode last night (skimming faster in the anger of realizing that the case investigation writing that I'd caught seemed a whoooole lot stronger than that in the last few Goren and Eames episodes

!!!!), but I didn't hear any songs toward the end of the episode? There was a snippet of a rap song smack in the middle, but that's not my type of music. I'd made a mental note of a lyric I'd caught to do a Google search for it, but promptly forgot what it was!! (sure sign that it's time for me to get real rest now..) I'd, unfortunately, immediately deleted the episode thinking I was all set to help you out. If you've got the episode taped, I'd suggest doing the lyric search thing. If not, I'm sure it'll be replayed on USA soon, as has been the pattern this season. So sorry to not be of any help!

The one thing about this season that I like is the opening sequence. I don't know if it's Law and order like, but it is very nifty...musically inclined as well. HAve you noticed? The musical variety is very interesting when the show starts.

Hello Greek,

Another topic was started just about the music, even though it should have all been on this thread, so I got the info off of there for you.
It's called 'The Prisoner' by Adam Crossley.

This is good practice for me. I don't get to write Greek as much as I use to...lol..
As for this Ep, I also think that Ross is taking alot more of an active role. I knew it was a detective that sat next to that guy at the shoe shine, but I was surprised to see that it was Ross. I guess we still have some hope he'll work out. If only we could do something about that hair...lol.. Well, I guess none of us are perfect. I think I can get use to it if he starts being nicer to Bobby.

I liked the song that played, and the way they started the episode. I don't know half as much as ADAMaloney does on these other shows, I mean I watch CSI Miami sometimes, but I just started watching it not too long ago, and I don't even remember how it starts. Anyway, maybe it was cause the song inspired certain feelings in me, or I don't know why, but it made the death of this man all the more pronounced and sad to me. I don't know if I want to see them do this all the time, but I did like it this time anyway.
