Here's the actual paragraph that mentions Billy Lush. How many of you are excited to see the miniseries? They just finalized the cast, and I am definitely excited to see it. There's a lot of actors that you'll recognize according to the paragraph below. It's a VERY diverse cast. Also, since it is a seven part mini-series.. we may get to see Billy 7 times?

HBO completes principal casting for Generation Kill
HBO has set Alexander Skarsgard (Exit), James Ransone (The Wire), Stark Sands (Flags of Our Fathers), Jon Huertas (Right at Your Door), and Lee Tergesen (Oz, Desperate Housewives) to lead the ensemble cast of Generation Kill, a seven-part miniseries from The Wire creators David Simon and Ed Burns. The mini is about the first month of the American-led 2003 Iraq invasion as seen through the eyes of a young Marine who was part of the initial military assault on Baghdad. Also co-starring in the mini are David Barrera (Evan Almighty), Nabil Elouahabi (The Path to 9/11), Neal Jones (Rescue Me), Chance Kelly (The Departed), Michael Kelly (The Sopranos), Eric Ladin (Surface), Jonah Lotan (24), Billy Lush (The Black Donnellys), Kellan Lutz (Accepted), Marc Menchaca (The Alamo), Eric Nenninger (Malcolm in the Middle), Pawel Szajda (Under the Tuscan Sun), Rey Valentin (One Tree Hill), Brian Patrick Wade (The Guardian), and Owain Yeoman (The Nine). So it's maybe like a modern day "Band of Brothers". I'm not real keen on war stories, I prefer the mob genre but it's a great opportunity for Billy and he'll be busy doin what he loves before he starts filming season 2 of TBD (LOL)

If this this about the beginning of the Iraq war, does this mean Billy going to get a buzz cut???

I like both the mob genre and historical war stories. There's something about the banding or bonding of individuals together to reach that common goal, that I like about most stories, movies, tv, etc. (I'm a big Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Saving Private Ryan, The Patriot fan.. that genre. They are somewhat epic films aren't they?)

It may be interesting to read the book, written by Evan Wright, that the miniseries is based on, before its released.

Thanks for sharing! I really don't think they can get around cutting his hair. Everyone knows that if you're in the military you are supposed to have short hair. Who knows how short they'll make it though. I've seen some military members with really short hair and some with longer than normal hair. I'm pretty sure either way, hair will have to come off. But he looks good no matter what so I don't have a problem with that.

I think I'd like to read the story too although I don't have HBO right now. Maybe when it's released I can convince the hubby to get it for the duration of the show...and of course if TBD ends up there. I also want to read The Ruins before that comes out.
