I didn't mean just sex... god no. spicy can have many layers.
By paying attention to your guy, maybe dressing up a bit like a really nice dress or something or doing something sweet for him you've not done since you were first dating, love letters for no reason at all, a spoil him day.. to me, that's keeping things spicy, new an fresh. I never said sex. keeping things hot, just means the relationship hasn't gone stale like some couples complain about.

I'm glad you got what I meant jazz.

Yes really. All age things need to be clarified, definitely. But i'm just going to see what happens, because I don't think it's a one sided thing.
Fancy_New_Becca
oh hottest, interesting. Well I hope things work the way you would like.

He's a math major, and I don't know where he goes to church. tongue.gif

that crazy guy, well his friend sent me a message saying I was right to do what I did and it's best if he and I weren't friends(the crazy guy).
New guy is no longer upset about what was said to me and doesn't want to go find him and smash his face in.

Why can't things be so much simpler?

+1

Plus, I barely go to church myself. I think 12 years at a Catholic school is sufficient enough laugh.gif.
Fancy_New_Becca
^^ you went to catholic school pip?
Never dated a religious man. Well one ex might count, he went to church like 4-5 times a year

Yep. 12 years spent at an elementary school & high school that I'll never get back laugh.gif. My dad is Catholic but my mom, Greek Orthodox. It was fine for the most part except in grade 11, when my CE teacher was talking about how the Catholic religion was formed & at one point, he started talking trash about the Greek Orthodox religion along with some hardcore Italian Catholics (nothing against them). I felt my blood boil & in my head I was thinking "hey buddy, I may have been baptised & raised Catholic but my mom's side of the family is GO, so I consider myself Orthodox too." I was too timid back than but if he said the same thing to me today, I would've given him a piece of my mind laugh.gif. I don't want to say more because I don't want to spark a debate but I was religious before I reached gr.10 but having all this religious stuff shoved down my throat turned me off & there's still some stuff I don't agree with.

In short, extreme religious men & me don't go together laugh.gif.
mixedberries_1
Interesting PiP! That guy would have made my blood boil too.

Just for the record with my original comment I just meant that going to church doesn't necessarily mean a guy's a good person, (look at Sharpie's experiences, blink.gif ). But I know that's all kind of obvious, and Veebs was watching out for our favorite Ho in O. wub.gif
vbarkley
Yes, you're right. laugh.gif But since Lil' Hottest has been going to church camps in the summer, I thought it might be something important to her. Plus, since we all want to protect her, maybe she could meet one of those 'silver ring' guys. biggrin.gif

Same here. I'm one of them. Some of the best marriages I know wouldn't meet that criterion. If you rule out perfectly decent people just because they don't meet your religious criteria, you've greatly limited the number of possibilities.

Silver ring? Through the nose??
The only way to "protect her" is to cut her off from the world, and that can't last forever. I've always believed that as a parent, all we can do is to instill a good sense of values and morals in our kids and turn them loose in (on?) the world, with the knowledge that we're always here if they need us.

I think the intentions of the post were clarified, and i'm not at all limiting who I date by their religion. I believe i've dated one religious guy, and he was actually more of an ass than the others strangely enough. It's not typically something I ask about when I first meet them.

That's how I was raised, & I believe that's the best way possible. When I turned 19, my parents granted me pretty much all the freedom I wanted but stuff left some restrictions, like coming home at a certain hour etc. And they would always remind me that even though I've become an adult, they would be there every second to support me. And their system worked, because I never came across trouble ever yet I was independent enough to make my own decisions. They knew that even though they set me free, I would be wise because how they raised me growing up. And they warned me about guys too constantly, especially my dad, but I knew it was because they want to protect me. They have no problem with who I date or marry, kinda laugh.gif.

Had I been smoothered by my parents, I probably would've turned against them out of spite & head down the road of trouble.

But to contribute to the topic laugh.gif, there are guys who go to mass every Sunday & can be good/bad, & there are guys who are like me & go twice a year & turn out good/bad laugh.gif. As long as the guy doesn't harshly inflict on me while restricting me & the relationship cause of his faith, it's all good.
Fancy_New_Becca
my dad wasn't around, mom was always working...no one ever talked to me about guys and stuff. I just kind formed my own opinions. Maybe why I've had such bad luck and got stuck on the brit way too long.

My friend called me from her job, that guy who played like he liked her an borrowed money off of her, well he's came back in her life...I do like you an i want things to move further. She said it's close to xmas you think he's looking. I said well he aint getting no other hand outs I bet. Best thing to show him is a google map..to the soup kitchen an not your wallet again. She still is like he's abad guy right? I said yeah he's bad and you know if you are asking then it's wrong. He's playing her for a fool and yet she likes it. hmmmm doesn't that sound awfully familiar rolling.gif God, I really sounded stupid over nick. laugh.gif
Wedd329
^^^You didn't sound stupid. You were just hoping he wasn't a jerk and you didn't want to believe he was.

And yes, he was. But now you know what to look out for in the next guy. We all learn from our mistakes. Seriously, I let my ex walk all over me and I never stood up for myself. And boy, did I learn that lesson. Now I don't let anything slide if it bothers me. I have no problem saying. excuse me, exactly what did you mean by that?
Fancy_New_Becca

friends man drama. Apparently he's gotten super ticked at her and they had a fight, he's still not paid her the 400 he borrowed an had nerve to ask for something besides money. They fought and she's moaned at me. I said you work together an do you see that if he chooses to talk to you at work it can get ugly now. She said no. But, she's worried about his past. There is a rumor he hit his ex wife. So she's all I'll get a escort to my car if he's waiting for me. I said to her, the whole situation is just crazy now, and you need to stay away from him and forget about there being a better side to him. She says, do you think? blink.gif
I called the new guy to tell him this and he said well aren't you glad we're not like that. I said yeah. He said I could never fight with you like that. I love you too much to do that. I stayed quiet but i kinda sighed in a good way. Can you think you are in love with someone or say you are with out sex being apart of the picture. Cause we haven't. We haven't spent a lot of time together lately cause of his work, but when we can it's nice.

Jazzman_1
QUOTE (Wedd329 @ Nov 19 2008, 02:15 PM) *

The only thing stranger than that is his thinking she'd buy the story in the first place.
Wedd329
^^^Seriously! What's more insulting, that he is cheating or that he thinks you are stupid enough to buy that story? I'd have to go with the latter.

I used to have this argument with Tom about his mother all the time. I would always tell him that we know she is going to lie to protect MOY, but what annoys me more is that she thinks we are stupid enough to believe these lies. For example, Tom gave MOY $80 and she swore that she would give it back to us Wed night. Well, Wed came and went and Tom called looking for her and she of course, would not come to the phone and Tom's mother tells him, well, she had the money last night at 9:00 but she didn't want to bring it over in case you were sleeping. WTF?! We're two adults in our late 20's with no kids--you didn't want to disturb us? Those kind of lies just **** me off. And no, we never got back the $80, which, incidentally, POY swore "as a man of my word" he would get to us. 29_3_13.gif

Anyway..... back to the topic at hand, yeah, that has to be the worst lie ever.
Fancy_New_Becca
Why would she even entertain the idea the phone sent the pics? First off she shouldn't be mad right off about the other woman, she should have gone off about him taking those types of pics! What married man is taking those and keeping them on his phone!

While discussing my amazing Office pencils:

Alex: Dwight is a purple belt.
Me: Have you been watching The Office...?
Alex: Maybe.
Me: You have. So what exactly changed your mind here, because you were so averse towards it whenever I mentioned it...
Alex: Well, it wasn't you! My friend was talking about it, and so I decided to Netflix it on the 360. Since you can watch instantly now.
Me: How can your friend sway you so easily and I can't?
Alex: Well, he had an Office notepad and he kept passing me notes on it, and I decided to watch it...

I DON'T BELIEVE HIM.

I'm nowhere near being single, but some miscommunication this week has made things hard. Too make a long story short, she's got mad because she cooked and wanted the 3 of us to eat together, and I'm upset because she gave me the cold shoulder when I was doing what a husband is supposed to do.

She needed me to take our son to a dentist appointment at 4pm, since she was teaching a late class. I get a call from her that she was locked out of the house, so I had to rush from work to let her in the house before her 3:30 class. Then turn around and pick Shawn up from after school care to make the dentist appt.

She sent me an email earlier saying that she had pre-prepared dinner, but I didn't get the email. I took Shawn to McDonald's after his dentist appointment. When we got home I went straight to the bathroom to wash my hair since I got a haircut during my lunch break. When I asked her what was wrong she said "nothing" and sulked.

Now she says that after I found out she cooked I should have went to her and acknowledge it.

I'm tired of typing. That wasn't really a short story.
