If my wife asks me to wash the dishes, I'll do it. I may not be 'the best time' for me, but I'll do it because she wants me to.

I do not ask hubby to do alot of things that I usually do around the house but when I ask him to do it, I would like it to be done in a reasonable time and not later tonight or tomorrow. Again this all hinges on my 'i would rather do it myself than wait for you' concept. smile.gif

They don't. If I am not okay with something being done, I am not going to go along with it just to make you happy. I'll say straight out we can do this, but not that and that's it.

It's different for women--if they are not into it or comfortable, they will not enjoy it and then what is the point? At least that's how I feel.

Oh, and that was an awesome comment about the parking lot. I didn't quote it in case you wanted to delete it. Not likely to happen, but still awesome!

Over the last couple weeks, I've started having an 'explicit' relationship with a girl at my work. Apparently, it's just physical, but I think she might like me more than that. Anyways, the really big problem, is that she has a boyfriend. blink.gif

Guys, I'm ending this, so you don't have to worry. I'm not that comfortable with it for a few reasons. One, the whole boyfriend thing. I don't want to screw up whatever they got, even though I guess I did already. The thing is, he knows she cheats on him, and he accepts it. Still, I feel bad. Second, I think she's going to start to get feelings for me, and I don't want that. I think that if this happened, things would get awkward and wierd, and I don't want that. Better to end things now.

As an outsider, the easy thing to say is to put this on ice. I guess you are going to have to decide if any pleasure that you are experiencing, is worth losing a job or blood. This boyfriend might turn into a nut, and cause a problem.

I gave into sly.gif a physical relationship with a coworker once, and once it ended (because of her bad attitude) work was awkward. We actually thought that we had pulled the wool over everyones' eyes at work. People you work with always know.

That's just stupid, and for obvious reasons. First, if you're really concerned, she should look at your hand. Are you wearing an engagement ring and/or wedding band? Second, actually HAVE the conversation. Inevitably the spouse/significant other comes up.

I don't like nosy people. On the flip side, one time this annoying guy was hitting on me at work and I said, "I'm sorry, I'm married"--never mind the ring and the big picture on my desk. His response? "YOU'RE married?"--emphasis on the you're. Not shock at the marriage, apparently, no, shock that someone would marry me. Which is exactly what I said. "Why are you so shocked that someone would marry me? Five seconds ago you were hitting on me"

He didn't talk to me or walk past my desk for a week. Point is, everyone should mind their business when it comes to dating/marriage/etc.

I admit to being nosy when asking/acquiring/begging for information. Why be shy about it?
Wedd329
Don't get me wrong--I am one of the nosiest people out there. But when it comes to when are you going to find a boyfriend/get married/have kids, I get angry. This may have something to do with an incident when I was 23. I had just broken up with my boyfriend of 7 years, and out of town relatives who I don't even like came to visit. I came downstairs in sweats, no makeup, hair a mess because I just didn't care that they were there. My aunt, my old, fat aunt who married my lawyer uncle and hasn't gotten off her fat a$$ since, said to me "How do you expect to find a husband looking like that?" Needless to say, I went off on her, I don't need a husband to be a contributing member of society, I'm 23, blah, blah, blah. So that kind of bothered me.

Actually, my aunt is pretty decent and she is very sick now, so I feel bad for saying that. The two of them are a weird couple, but that's a story for the Family thread one day!
