Season one was great. I enjoyed seeing all the interesting and strange talents people had to show off.
This season in contrast is terrible. In season one the audience was comprised of people that often were called to demonstrate their talent and thus they gave each other a fair chance to demonstrate what they could do on stage. This season it just seems that P Morgan wants to get attention by being as severely and unneccessarily cruel as possible and the audience appears to be just as mean-spirited. People are buzzed off before uttering a syllable and all the heckling throughout the various performances made the entire show seem ugly. I turned the show off half way through the broadcast. The show isn't worth watching anymore, it's just about humiliating people that were brave enough to come show what they felt their talents were.
In season one they just let the contestants sit in the audience and called them up when it was their turn. When you purchased tickets they asked you to wear costumes and if you did you got better seating. It was all on the internet to read. That way it made it look like more contestants were there.
At least this year they are not trying to trick the viewer. The show seems to flow better to me. They don't spend so much time on bad acts and even the good ones seem not to go on too long. Last years shows drug out too long. The talent last year did impress me more. I was shocked with some of the acts that were even considered for TV tonight. Crazy! Even the clips. That means they let them come to LA for a callback since they were shown on the stage. I'd think they would spend that travel money on genuinely good talent.
