There is seriously something wrong if FALLON FRANKLIN does not win this competition! She was hands down the best singer in the first episode of the season and there is no doubt in my mind that there will be no one in the history of man-kind that will rival her in talent, personality, and overall skill. NASHVILLE, TN LOVES FALLON!!!

Because she's from Tennessee. In my experience, people that love country music barely even acknowledge that there is any other kind of music, much less listen and/or vote for it (which is why every year on AI there's some mediocre talent that gets as far as they do by singing nothing but country), and Nashville is practically a synonym for the country industry.
Regarding Fallon's chances of winning, she's at a disadvantage because she's going for, for lack of a better term, the white bread vote (the same people that put Taylor Ware and Celtic Spring through last year), and the Duttons are ten times more white bread than she is. If she has to compete in the same set of ten as the Duttons or some other act that would have made Lawrence Welk proud, she's done for.
Don't forget that this is only the first round. Remember how much hype there was over Alexis Jordan last year?

Ummm...where did you get Tennessee? She is from Texas. And from what I have read on her and heard, she doesnt even sing country now... She sang a Jewel song on the show.

I am in love with this girls singing style!!! She is amaizing and I can't wait to hear what she'll sing next. I found her website and loved her original songs. I would love to hear her sing something she wrote herself. I hope she goes far in this competition. I am looking forward to seeing her in the finals along side the beebox girl and Cas.
No one won yet since the voting hasn't even begun yet. I don't think the auditions are even over yet. She was really, really good though. I'll bet she goes really far in the contest. She was one of the few that won over Piers and he seems to be the controlling guy. I'll vote for her once they start letting us vote.
I posted in the other blog about Fallon that I finally got her cd WASTED DAY in the mail that I bought a while back. It is extremely good. I was quite surprised by her writing and the song choices. Very political music. Kind of Neil Young, Beatles, and even Fleetwood Mac like. A+ for this one. She is alot better than she is on the show even...
