Chapter 6- Will You?Once Mimi got home and seen everything Miguel had set up she started crying. “Whats wrong sweetie?” “Nothing…its just that everything looks so perfect, and I look like crap!” “I take it you had a hard day working!”
Mimi took over as Theresa’s assistance. “Yes, we had a whole bunch of deals to seal, and some old employee came in and raised holy ****!” As Mimi was telling him all of this, Miguel was walking her up to the restroom. “I want you to get a nice hot bath, then go into the bedroom and you’ll find a great surprise.” “O Miguel you didn’t have to buy me anything! I love you anyway!” “It wasn’t a problem! I just wanted everything to be perfect!”
After he made sure she was in the shower, he went and put the finishing touches on dinner. Then he went down-stairs to put the finishing touches on the decorating.
“I think its perfect! Now I just have to get ready for a night Mimi will never forget!”
He goes up to the spare room, and gets his suit out.
Miguel goes back down stairs to see Mimi setting at the table with her dress on, “I take it you found it!” “Yes, I love it! Are we going somewhere?” “Yes, right down to our basement!” “All right then. Why are we so dresses up for our basement?” “We are having a formal night to our selves! No waiters, and no other people to bug us!” “Miguel do I tell you enough that I love you?” “I think so, but hearing it more just makes me want to kiss you!” “Well then, I love you!” He pulls her into a kiss, “I love you too!”
Miguel blind folded her and lead her down the stairs, “Miguel I cant see!” “Almost there, one more step!” They took the last step and her un-blindfolded her. “Miguel this all looks so beautiful!” “Just like you! So are you ready for dinner?” “Yes! And I have something to tell you!” “OK can we wait until after dinner?” “Of course!”
Miguel had the table set with Mimi’s favorite: lobster, baked potatoes and a salad with light dressing. “O Miguel this all looks so good!” “Before we eat, I need to ask you something!” “What?”
“You know how much I love!” “Yes, and you know how much I love you!” “But I want to take our love a step forward…Mimi Lockhart, will you marry me?”
“Miguel…I don’t know what to say!” “I would really love it if you said yes!” “Miguel I would love to marry you!” “You would!” “Yes!” “Do you like your ring?” “I love it! I can’t believe it! We’re getting married! I get to pick a dress out, and we get to plan OUR wedding! O Miguel I love you!” She kisses him, “Mimi I think our dinner is getting cold!” “Yes let’s eat!”
After dinner
“So what did you want to tell me?” “What?” “When you got home from work you said you wanted to tell me something!” “O that! It’s important, but I want to wait to tell you!” “Ok…so are you ready for our dessert?” “You even made dessert!” “Yea, would you like some cherry cheesecake?”
