That sounds like a lot of fun! I'm interested to hear about how you met him. I've never met Conan but I really don't want to either. I have coulrophobia.

I saw him in person once at a taping, which I'm really content with. I guess I got lucky that he just happened to be there.
And sorry if you felt ignored before.
I don't think Iwas ignored, I just had too little patience as I always do...
When I saw him coming out of that door on 6th Avenue, I had to think twice before I ventured to stop him and speak to him. But then when I had started, I was quite relaxed and it was surprisingly easy to be with him.
We went to Rockefeller Center about half 7 in the evening and sat on the fountain on 6th avenue. We knew that he could come from that door on that street because someone had revealed it here on the board

. Then we saw La Bamba and Scott Healy to come from that door and then they came over the street, right in front of us. After a while I ventured to ask them, if they were members of the Max Weinberg 7 (I didn't remember Scott's name, I only knew that he's the one who plays the keyboard!) and if we could take a picture of them. They said that it's OK and I took that picture.
We sat there a while and watched amazed the pictures I had taken and then we saw that someone who looked like Max Weinberg came out and spoke to phone. My sister paid her attention to someone on the street and asked me if he was Conan O'Brien and I paid my attention to him too. But he wasn't and meanwhile Max was gone.
We went to the other side of the street because it was likely that soon Conan could come out and we didn't want to loose him too. We stood there a while and Max came out again. So he had gone back to the building while we followed someone else. After considering for a while I ventured to stop him and ask him if he was Max Weinberg and if I could take a picture of him. He said that it's OK and asked me if I was from Finland (I had my Finland T-shirt on). I said "yes" and he suggested that we could take the picture in front of GE-building text. Then he asked if I had got the picture and I thanked him for that.
Then it was VERY likely that Conan would come soon from that same door too and we were VERY excited. Actually we didn't know if he would come or not and we just waited and waited and only stared that door. And then... There he was!!!!!! Oh my God!
"I can't believe it!", I said to my sister and it seemed like he would have stood there in front of the door a while even if he didn't. Then he walked towards us and once again I had to think a while before I could stop him and talk to him. I said to him:"Hi, Conan. We are big fans of yours. Can we take a picture of you?". He seemed to interrupt me all the time when I was speaking, as if he would have known that we want something from him. He chewed the gum all the time. He asked us if we were friends and we answered to him that we are (although we are sisters!). He said:"OK, you know eachothers.". He noticed that we have the fan book that our great journalist Arto Nyberg had given to him last autumn and he said:"Oh, you have the book.".
He suggested that we took the picture under the marquee and I took first picture of him and my sister and then my sister took the picture of me and him. First we didn't fit in the picture so my sister told me in Finnish that we should go a little bit backwards. Conan kept his hand on my shoulder, I went backwards and he came with me. Then my sister said that we still don't fit in the picture so I said to Conan that "We have to go a little bit..." (I didn't remember the word "backwards" then) and I showed with my finger backwards. Then he said "Allright" and laughed in his weird way, like he laughs to his female guests on the show.

I think he did this because he had to keep his hand on my shoulder so long. And I was happier than ever!!!!!!

I was thinking in my mind that "Please, take that picture quickly! He has a good expression on his face and I want to capture it!".
After taking the pictures Conan said "allright, see you later", walked away to a black car and then this wonderful man was gone...

And we didn't get his autograph to that book although that was our purpose. But we remembered his touch a long time when he kept his hand on our shoulders...
I could put some of the pictures here if you like but I don't know yet how to do it. But I think you now know why I was so excited about my experience. Even the Finland-America society (I don't know how to translate
Suomi-Amerikka -seura correctly) has wanted us to tell about our experience for their magazine.
Thanks for listening to me!
