I liked America's got talent last year but this year is rediculous. It is a Jerry Springer behind the scenes fiasco. It's bad enough that his discusting freak show is on television. Now we have to watch him distroy this show also. Shame on NBC for turning what seemed like a good family show into another depraved rehearsed side show. And the new addition to the judges just confirms how low the show has gotten. What will you do next NBC to get an audience? Its no wonder your station is the lowest in ratings. You need new staff to bring some class to your shows and get out of the gutter.

What has Jerry Springer done to anger you? He has done nothing bad. People just associate him with his late-show and jump to conclusions before actually watching and paying attention to what he's done.

I will be the first to say that when I first heard that Jerry Springer was going to host this show this season I was like OMG this show is going down the toilet now. I was thinking about his "Jerry Springer" show and figured he would bring some of those characteristics to AGT. I will say that I was most pleasantly suprised last week with his hosting. I think he did a fine job. The show had issues but IMO he was entertaining.

jerry's great on the show...change the channel if u don't like him...

I'll have to agree as well. I had the same reaction when I heard he would be the host, but I really quite like him. I was worried when I saw the preview earlier in the show with him taking his shirt off, but when the segment came in the show with male belly dancer, in context it was really quite funny. I hope it doesn't get over-done though. he endeared a lot of people to him with his stint on "Dancing with the Stars" and self-depricating humor. It seems he is continuing to show a softer side on AGT.

I like him to, but not his show or his format which is what my point was. He brought that Trashy show to AGT. I really miss regis too, he has class.

When I first heard Springer was going to host AGT, I almost decided to not watch this season, but I have to admit he's better than I thought he would be. He actually does reasonably well and seems to care about the contestants, which is a must. I think the worst thing would be for a host to mock the contestants, but he doesn't do that. I still think they can probably find a better host out there somewhere in "Hollywoodland" for next season (don't ask me who), but for now Springer's not too bad. If Regis came back next season I'd definitely be happy with that.

I like Jerry way better than Regis. Regis just annoys me. Obviously, Mr. Springer isn't hurting the show rating wise anways. If you check out the thread labeled ratings, it's doing great. Springer seems to care about the contestants, which is crucial for any host of a show like this. People judge Springer based on The Jerry Springer Show. I didn't much care for the show myself, but the obvious nature of it's false reality made like to see what Springer was really like. I think he's a pretty cool guy. An everyman we could all hang out with. I hope he sticks around for another season.

Last year they had some pretty bad acts as they do this year. i think some people are just forgetting some of the strippers and leonard the magneficant. I like regis, I try to catchregis and kelly and few times a week. I felt embaressed for Regis last year having to deal with soem of the crazy acts. he didn;t seem to know what to say. jerry at least has plenty of experince with craziness and handless all sitauations well.
I would hate to see regis come back and humilate himself ona show like this. Regis to me is like Larry king, a great interviewer and personality and need to host shows that are a little more serious.

I watched the show the first year and liked it very much, and I must say, I don't think I can sit thru Jerry's antics or how the audience sounds (and reacts) as bad as on his horrible daytime show. I am very disappointed that of all the hosts they could have chosen from, they had to "Springerize" this show.

I'm not sure I can sit through a whole season of the crowd booing and the judges walking off stage (and the camera man following them to the dressing room) as on his other show. This show is about Talent, not drama from Jerry or the judges.

so true, is the show about the host or the talent, seems the talent is taking a back seat, Just consider the guy that breaks things with his bottom. is that talent that answers the question "has America got talent". and what if the judges have human moments, i don't think we need to see that instead of what appears to be excellent acts that are cut short so we can see entire acts that were not voted through for obvious reasons. very disapointing.
