All I can say is "WOW!!!" 'Britain's DEFINATELY Got Talent'!!! thank you Kwesi for sharing that with us...there's either something wrong with the show here in the states or they're saving the best for last...who knows! But I was blown away by the British version of the show!

You're very welcome!! smile.gif He is the hot favourite to win the show!! He moved judge Amanda Holden to tears!! I was also moved to tears and was still in tears during the commercial break!! He will peform in the final tomorrow night. It will air here tomorrow night on ITV1. He's even been on our local news because he's from this part of Britian (South Wales). I'm glad i've done my bit for international promotions!! smile.gif

He was pretty amazing and deserved to win. However, I'd be interested in knowing what the rest of the acts were like.

I'm not sure why we don't get acts like that on the show here, but there are a few factors that may be involved.

1) American society in general is culturally void
2) The U.S. is so much larger than Britain with so many more submissions, the gems are much harder to find. This is really me being devil's advocate, because I know that is not true. There are a lot of awesome acts that were fawned over by producers at their initial auditions, yet still didn't make it.
3) Simon and Piers have far more respect for their own countrymen (which is understandable)

We did have at least one operatic singer audition via video submission that did make it. Check out my friend Dorothy Bishop

I loved America's Got Talent the first season (especially winner Bianca Ryan!!) But this season isn't that great. I have not seen another possible winner. And its so dramatic. I've seen clips of Britain's Got Talent and I love it! I wish they would air it here! I like the judges better! And the talent better too! I really wish they would play it on TV here!!

Dear Kwesi, and All,
Thank you for posting these URLs for people to see. I didn't know whether the producers would take offense or not, but I've been watching BGT on youtube this whole week. There is so little worth seeing on American TV, and y'all have the added attraction of Simon for a judge. (I loved the girl who was his biggest fan. Was her name Serena?) I do think that Simon is more at ease in Britain. He just seems more "laid back" and chatty.

I think youtube is wonderful, and really it is increasing the popularity of "the brand." It also gives folks in the U.S. a chance to follow X Factor, which I really enjoyed last year. There was a point at which someone seemed to object to the judges comments being aired on youtube, but that objection seemed to be eliminated later, and I was glad of it. I enjoy Simon's shows and watching his reactions to people. The British version of the "Rappin' Grannie" was soooo tacky, and his reaction was just priceless. He is an absolute hoot!!!

Kwesi, please keep coming on here and sharing with us. It's great to hear from people in other countries. We hope you're enjoying AGT as much as we are enjoying BGT.

Paul Potts RULES!!!!!!!

Jake Pratt Is Awesome!!!

And that Bessie Cursons, Is just a little sweetheart! The way she "played to the camera" doing the marry poppins bit was absolutley adorable.

I had to watch the shows via [internet] to see the UK versions.

I think the US would also like Crew82.

They need a "worlds got talent show" or some kind of "best of" show that would feature acts from around the world.

I thinks it's so presumptuous of US television to assume we would not grasp tv shows from around the world. They always make an Americanized version for us.
