After the great production in 2006 I am surprised that the producers and especially the sponsors of this years America's Got Talent would allow the show to become SPRINGERIZED. I don't remember the judges ever walking out or yelling at each other till this year. I don't remember seeing so many untalented persons being passed through to humiliate themselves and the viewing public. I enjoyed the show last year because there were a number of very talented persons. I don't remember the judges being just plane nasty to untalented adults and praise the children who were likewise untalented and most likely would stay that way. Maybe there should be an age limit so the judges cannot show so much favoritism. Mostly, I am upset with the show because of the nasty, nasty, nasty, person chosen to emcee the show. Jerry may be a nice person in his own right but the "Jerry Springer Show" which he represents is a disgrace to the airwaves. Luckily, he does not have a great deal of air time on this show. We only see him when he has some stupid remark to make. I'm sure I am not the only person who will not watch very much of the show this year. Hopefully, next year we can see a show that even surpasses the first year.........

I'm always amazed at people who specifically sign-up to the forum to say that they don't plan on really watching the show anymore or (in the extreme) ever again.
I personally don't feel that Jerry Springer has done anything wrong on the show. He's a guy doing backstage interviews and being funny. He hasn't even participated in the Judges bickering or anything like that. If anything he's been a peace maker. It is also not Jerry's fault that we had (as far as I know) one incident of the audience chanting "Jerry". Mob mentality. And it didn't seem to happen again. It is not Jerry's fault that thej judges pass through bad acts or pass over good ones. It is not Jerry's fault that bad acts are featured on the show or that they even audition in the first place.
Of all the people to blame for your dissatisfaction with the show, the last person would be Jerry Springer, he has extremely little impact. That's like saying, last year's show was a success becasue of Regis.
Jerry Springer has not been rude, nasty, irresponsible, or otherwise inappropriate. He's just been a host. Whether he's a good or bad host is debatable but his mere presence on the show does not automatically cause a decline.
Also what show were you watching this year where they "praised the children" and just gave them a pass? If anything Piers was more malicious to the children than anyone else.

I totally agree, Jerry has been funny and supportive of the acts and performers, and he makes me laugh, It's Piers that is rude, mean, and should not be on this or any other show
