That is interesting you bring this up DannoLManno because I have notice the doppleganger effect at late night as well. Not so much with the similarities with Max and Jerry, but now that you bring it up the resemblace is striking. What I have noticed before and I shall say it again is the unbearable likeness of being Smigel compaired to an Ira Glass. Their manorisms, way of speech, and of course physical appearance are strikingly similar. I wonder what it is about Late Night that brings out the alter-egos or the supression of the ego, I guess, in Max's case. Perhaps that it is a comedy show and people are allowed to act a certain way on tv that would be grounds for assult in any other reality. None the less I see what you are saying, and at the very least you are not alone in your quandary.
